Objective To determine associations between weight gain induced by antipsychotic and the polymorphisms of HTR2C gene -759C/T and -697G/C,histamine-1 receptor gene,leptine gene -2548G/A,and adiponectin gene +276G/T and +45T/G.Methods In the casematched study,85 patients who gained more than 7％ of their pre-drug body weight served as the study group and another 85 patients who gained less than 7％ of their pre-drug body weight served as the control group.The ligation diction reaction technique was used to analyze the frequencies of the -759C/T and -697G/C polymorphism of the HTR2C gene,-2548A/G polymorphism of leptin gene,+ 276G/T and + 45T/G polymorphism of adiponectin gene and glu349asp polymorphism of H1 receptor gene.Results The presence of the -759C allele,-697G allele,-2548A allele and + 276G allele was significantly higher in the study group than that in the control group (P ＜ 0.05 ).Conclusion The -759C/T and -697G/C polymorphisms of the promoter region of 5HT2C receptor gene,-2548A/G polymorphisms of leptin gene and + 276G/T polymorphisms of adiponectin gene may be associated with the antipsychotic induced weight gain.The glu349asp polymorphisms of histamine-1 receptor gene is not associated with antipsychotic induced weight gain.

The liver is an important organ of the body,with an extraordinary capacity for responding to physical or chemical injuries by regenerating. The mechanisms behind liver regeneration are very complicated as hundreds of substances are involved.However,most of them are not liver-specific,such as HGF,EGF etc. We recently isolated a pure protein with hepatic stimulatory activity from the extract of a weanling calf liver and named its hepatopoietin Cn (HPPCn).This paper,with reference to our own work, mainly reviews the development and bioactivity about hepatic stimulator substance(HSS),augmenter of liver regeneration(ALR),hepassocin(HPS) and HPPCn,which are liver-specific biologically active peptides.

Objective To study the mechanisms of Curcumin-induced apoptosis on human gastric cancer cell line SGC-7901.Methods SC,C-7901 cells were treated with various concentrations of Curcumin and the growth inhibition rates of it were accessed by MTT method.Apoptosis of gastric cancer cells were in- spected by flow cytometry.The expression of Fas and survivin in gastric cancer cells were evaluated by west- ern blot.Results Curcumin could effectively inhibit the growth of gastric cancer cells in dose-dependent and time-dependent manners,the sub-peak appeared and the apoptotic rate was increased.The expressions of Fas was higher in Western blot,meanwhile,the expressions of survivin was decreased.Conclusion Curcumin could significantly inhibit the growth and induce apoptosis of gastric cancer cells(SGC-7901),Curcumin could probably through up-regulating Fas and down-regulating surviving to induce apoptosis.

Objective: To study the effect of ?-3 polyunsaturated fatty(?-3 PUFA) on the serum lipid of ovariectomized rats.Methods: 60 virgin female Sprague-Dawley rats,3 months of age,were randomized by the stratified weight method into 6 groups: Sham group:deionized water 2 mL/d,OVX group:eionized water 2 mL/d,E2 group: OVX+17?-ethinylestradiol 0.1 mg/(kg?d),A group: OVX+?-3 PUFA 75 mg/(kg?d),B group: OVX+?-3 PUFA 150 mg/(kg?d) and C group: OVX+?-3 PUFA 300 mg/(kg?d).Each group had 10 rats.Experiment period was 90 days.Body weight were measured every week.Serum were collected to measure Cholesterol(TC),Triglyceride(TG),High-density lipoprotein-cholesterol(HDL-C),and Low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol(LDL-C).Results: There were significant difference between groups in the serum lipid.In the OVX group,TC and LDL-C increased.In the E2 group,TC increased compared with that in the Sham group,and HDL-C,LDL-C and HDL-C/TC decreased significantly compared with that in the OVX group.In the A,B and C groups HDL-C/TC increased significantly compared with those in the E2 group.Conclusion: The ovariectomized rats have lipid metabolism disorderd.The ?-3 PUFA and estrogen replacement therapy plays a role in the lipid metabolism.The ?-3 PUFA has the best efficiency in reducing the level of serum lipid.

Objective A scientific evaluation of hospital culture with the Dimension organizational culture model, in view of features of China's general public hospitals.Methods Based on Denison model, according to the characteristics of the public general hospitals in China, the authors developed a tool for organizational culture assessment (TOCA) by using the survey data from 87 hospitals in three provinces from the East, Central, and West areas in China.Results This tool, an evaluation scale, comprises the four cultural characteristics of direction, consistency, participation, and adaptability, as well as 13 cultural dimensions of social responsibility and competitive consciousness. The tool is tested as having good internal reliability and validity.Conclusion The TOCA provides hospital administrators with a tool for hospital culture evaluation, diagnosis and improvement.

Objective To explore the changed status of the intestinal flora microecology in the model infant rats with irritable bowel syndrome(IBS) by integrative method.Methods To establish 20 infant rats model with IBS.The IBS rats were randomly divided into the treatment group A with bifico and positive control group B,and another 10 infant rats which grew up regularly were taken as negative control group C.The feces smear staining and intestinal flora detection was performed in the 3 groups respectively,meanwhile the dry and wet weight of each group rats feces and the content of water in the feces were compared.Results The intestinal flora imbalance rate of infant rats IBS group(A+B) was 70%,and there was 30% in the control group C,the difference between model group and group C was very significantly(?~2=4.34 P

Objective To assess the early prognosis of 117 patients after carduopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in ICU by using the markers of inflammation,Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) and Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation Ⅱ (APACHE Ⅱ) scores.Methods A total of 117 CPR patients admitted between 2010 January to 2012 December were enrolled for study.Within 24 h after admission,inflammatory markers,blood routine items,hepatorenal function,electrolytes of blood were measured.The GCS and APACHE Ⅱ scores were recorded.Arterial blood gas analyses were performed at 0,12,and 24 h after hospitalization,and the 12-h and 24-h lactate clearance rates were calculated.Seven days after treatment,according to the outcomes,the patients were divided into survival group and death group,and the clinical data of two groups were analyzed.Results (1) Of them,73 patients died and 44 survived.Factor analysis showed that age,time elapsed from resuscitation to ICU admission,D-dimer,arterial oxygenation index (FiO2),arterial blood pH,arterial blood lactate concentration upon ICU admission,GCS score and APACHE Ⅱ score were significantly different between the two groups (P ＜ 0.05or P ＜ 0.01); (2) Two classification logistic regression analysis showed that D-Dimer,GCS score and APACHE Ⅱ score significantly correlated with the mortality risk of the patients in the wake of CPR with relative odds ratios of 1.000,2.091,and 0.531,respectively (P ＜ 0.05 or P ＜ 0.01) ; (3) Receiver operating characteristic curve analysis indicated that the area under the curve of GCS (0.821) and APACHE Ⅱ (0.869) had higher predictive value than D-dimer (0.655).The highest accuracy (84.6％) in predicting patient survival was achieved when the GCS score was 6.5.Meanwhile,the highest accuracy (82.1％) in predicting patient death was achieved when the APACHE Ⅱ score was 17.5.Conclusions Both GCS score and APACHE Ⅱ score has obvious correlation with the prognosis of the critically ill patients after CPR and could be used to predict prognosis at early stage.

Objective To evaluate the value of GE′s Q-analysis real-time ultrasonic elastography quantitative analysis software in the diagnosis of breast diseases and explore the best cutoff point of the breast diseases diagnosis.Methods The elastograms of 71 breast lesions(66 patients)were evaluated by using the GE LOGIQ E9 with the Q-analysis software.All the 71 lesions were diagnosed as malignant and benign lesions by surgery or biopsy.The receiver operating characteristic (ROC)curves of the entirety elasticity rate and local elasticity rate was performed.We compared the areas under ROC curves ( AUC) of the two modalities and confirmed the best cutoff point of the breast diseases diagnosis .We also assessed the sensitivity and specificity of the two modalities .Lastly we assessed the ROC curves with Z test to determine whether the difference between the two modalities was significant .Results Among the 71 leisions (66 patients),there were 37 benign lesions and 34 malignant ones.The elastograms of the leisions showed that the elasticity of 37 benign leisions was good ,the hardness value was low and the texture was even .As for the 34 malignant leisions,the elasticity was bad,the hardness value was high and the texture was uneven .The AUC of the local modality was 0.899 ( >0.5).The AUC of the entire modality,was 0.985 ( >0.5).Both modalities were accurate for the diagnosis of breast diseases .When the cutoff point of entirety elasticity rate was set as 3.60,the sensitiveness was 82.4%and the specificity was 86.5%.When the cutoff point of local elasticity rate was set as 2.60,the sensitiveness was 97.1% and the specificity was 91.9%.The difference between the two modalities was significant (Z =2.621,P=0.0088).Conclusions Q-analysis real-time ultrasonic elastography quantitative analysis is able to evaluate the rigidity and texture of tissue and is valuable to distinguish benign breast lesions between malignant breast lesions .The sensitiveness and specificity of local modality are higher than that of entirety modality .
