International Eye Science 2015;(1):169-171
Abstract? AlM: To study the effect of pterygium excision combined with limbal stem cell on visual acuity and refractive status.?METHODS:A total of 120 cases ( 178 eyes ) pterygium cases were enrolled in our hospital from March 2012 to May 2014 and divided into observation group ( 60 cases, 90 eyes) and control group (60 cases, 88 eyes) according to different treatment methods. Patients in observation group received pterygium excision combined with limbal stem cell transplantation, those in control group received pterygium excision. Vision levels, astigmatism degrees were compared. The effects of age, working environment and medial rectus muscle insertion distance from corneal limbus on postoperative visual acuity were analyzed.? RESULTS: Before operation, acuity levels and astigmatism degrees of two groups had no difference ( P>0. 05 ); 1, 2 , 3, 4wk after operation, visual acuity in observation group were higher than that in control group (0.49±0.09 vs 0.34±0.07, 0.76±0.11 vs 0.42±0.04, 0.95± 0. 14 vs 0. 59±0. 08, 1. 09±0. 18 vs 0. 74±0. 10), astigmatism degrees were lower than that in control group (0. 96±0. 12 vs 1. 85±0. 28, 0. 68±0. 08 vs 1. 51±0. 23, 0. 54±0. 08 vs 1. 23± 0.19,0.42±0.07 vs 0.91±0.14); visual acuity of patients older than 45 years old, indoor work, medial rectus muscle insertion distance from corneal limbus 3-5 mm were higher, astigmatism degrees were lower.?CONCLUSlON:Pterygium excision combined with limbal stem cell transplantation is helpful to improve visual acuity and astigmatism degree; recovery of visual acuity is affected by age, working environment and medial rectus muscle insertion distance from corneal limbus.
2.Practice Nursing Students' Professional Ethics Education: the Era Call in the Rise of Modern Medical Model
Chinese Medical Ethics 2017;30(4):462-465
This paper discussed the reason of the rise of modern medical model and specially analyzed the necessity and urgency of strengthen the professional ethics education of the practice nursing students under modern medical model from four aspects. On this basis, this paper put forward the following path for optimizing the professional ethics education of the practice nursing students. It should formulate the standard of teachers scientifically and improve the system of reward and punishment. It should establish the class of professional ethics education and make professional ethics education run through the process of clinical practice to cultivate their good professional ethics. It should cultivate three kinds of consciousness and one idea of nursing student,so as to prompt them to provide patients quality service.
3.Recent advances in the diagnosis and treatment of lysosomal storage diseases
Journal of Peking University(Health Sciences) 2003;0(04):-
SUMMARY Lysosomal storage diseases are a group of genetic disorders that result from the defect in lysosomal function. Signs and symptoms are variable, it is difficult to diagnose this group of disease merely by the clinical manifestation. The diagnosis usually is made by measuring the activity of the corresponding enzyme. Gene mutational analysis is useful for the diagnosis of some of the lysosome storage diseases. The treatment has focused on the replacement of the defective enzyme responsible for the disease and the hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Both of them have achieved exciting outcomes in some of the diseases.
4.Short-term therapeutic effect of vertebral pillar block insertion through vertebral pedicle in treatment of thoracolumbar vertebral fractures
Chinese Journal of Trauma 2010;26(9):822-825
Objective To study the therapeutic effect of vertebral pillar block insertion through vertebral pedicle in treatment of thoracolumbar vertebral fractures. Methods The study involved 23patients (25 vertebrae and 47 vertebral pillar blocks) with thoracolumbar vertebral fractures treated with vertebral pillar block insertion through vertebral pedicle in our hospital from March 2008 to July 2009.There were two patients with T11 fractures, nine with T12 fractures, seven with L1 fractures and five with L2 fractures (four patients were treated with decompression by fenestration between vertebral plates and vertebral pedicle fixation with vertebral pillar block). Surgical operation, operation duration, blood loss during operation, postoperative and follow-up X-ray films were observed, and the ratio of anterior vertebral height and normal height, degree of Cobb angle correction and early postoperative recovery were determined. Results Twenty-three patients were followed up for 7-16 months (mean 12.5 months),which showed little postoperative vertebral height loss and significantly improved postoperative anterior vertebral compression rate and the Cobb angle (P < 0. 05). Conclusions Vertebral pillar block can effectively restore the mechanical properties of vertebral bodies, reduce further loss of vertebral height, kyphosis reproduction and other complications and take advantages of shorter operative time, less bleeding, faster recovery and better adaptation to the biological fixation in treatment of thoracolumbar vertebral fractures.

Objective] To investigate the possible mechanism underlying the killing of Culex quinquefasciatus larvae by Lagenidium giganteum from the biochemical point of view. [Methods] The activities of alkaline phosphatase(AKP), acid phosphatase(ACP) and esterase(EST) were observed by using calcium cobalt method, lead nitrate method and naphthol method. Results were photomicrographed and analysed quantitatively by image analysis using computer. [Results] The activities of AKP and ACP were decreased while the activities of EST were increased among the infected groups with different infection intensities. [Conclusions] The changes of these enzyme activities might be one of the important mechanisms of action of Lagenidium giganteum against Culex quinquefasciafus larvae.

Objective To investigate the clinical significance of serum level of the diagnosis and treatment of community acquired pneumonia. Methods 42 hospital patients with pneumonia obtained from community were slect-ed as the observation group.According to patient outcome, they were divided into improvement group and aggravated group.Another selection during the same period in hospital for treatment of acute upper respiratory tract infection in patients with 30 cases was the control group.Respectively,in the 1 day,3 days,7 days the results of serum calcitonin angiotensinogen (PCT)and CRP were compared and analyzed. Results In observation group,PCT of first day, third days and seventh days were respectively (1.18 ±0.32)μg/L,(0.78 ±0.12)μg/L and (0.18 ±0.04)μg/L;CRP were respectively (154.15 ±21.58)mg/L,(67.42 ±20.35)mg/L and (15.43 ±7.76)mg/L.In the control group, PCT of first days, third days and seventh days were respectively (0.05 ±0.01 )μg/L,(0.04 ±0.02)μg/L and (0.05 ±0.02)μg/L,while CRP were respectively (9.39 ±2.22)mg/L,(8.83 ±2.91 )mg/L and (7.06 ± 3.03)mg/L.There were significant differences between the two groups (t =6.15,10.85,4.86,58.69,16.79,11.99,all P <0.05).In the aggravated group,PCT levels of first days, third days and seventh days were significantly higher than that of the improved group, the differences were statistically significant (t =17.86,18.21,20.65,all P <0.05). Conclusion As a monitoring marker,PCT showed higher sensibility and specificity than CRP in diagnosis and treat-ment of CAP,and it would be helpful to make early diagnosis and certain the therapeutic schedule to use antibiotics.

IEEE Std 1708-2014 breaks through the traditional standards of cuff based blood pressure measuring devices and establishes a normative definition of wearable cuffless blood pressure measuring devices and the objective performance evaluation of this kind of devices. This study firstly introduces the background of the new standard. Then, the standard details will be described, and the impact of cuffless blood pressure measuring devices with the new standard on manufacturers and end users will be addressed.
