2.Recent Updates Regarding Outcomes and Complications of Reverse Total Shoulder Arthroplasty.
Clinics in Shoulder and Elbow 2017;20(3):172-179
Indications of reverse total shoulder arthroplasty (RTSA) have been consistently extended by technical advancements in reverse arthroplasty prosthesis, continuous development of the implants, accumulated experiences and its successful treatment outcomes; accordingly, its use has rapidly increased. RTSA has been performed for a variety of indications, with variable outcomes depending on the initial diagnosis. However, controversial opinions still exist regarding the design of reverse arthroplasty prosthesis (medialized or lateralized design and the neck-shaft angle of the humeral prosthesis), suture of the subscapularis tendon, use of cement during placement of the humeral prosthesis, and surgical procedures; therefore, these should be investigated so that they can be better understood.

3.Arthroscopic Treatment of Elbow Osteoarthritis and Arthroscopic Ulnar Nerve Decompression.
Clinics in Shoulder and Elbow 2016;19(4):256-263
Although arthroscopic surgery has been used conventionally, it has not been widely adopted yet due to the risks of complications, including nerve damage, technical difficulties, and limited indications. As shown in other joints, however, the use of an arthroscope will gradually increased in the elbow joint (‘Arthroscopy always wins’). Herein, arthroscopic treatments and arthroscopic ulnar nerve decompression will be discussed in cases of elbow osteoarthritis.

4.Two Cases of Anhidrotic Ectodermal Dysplasia with Atopic Dermatitis in Siblings.
Annals of Dermatology 1998;10(2):91-96
Anhidrotic ectodermal dysplasia (AED) is characterized by a well-known tetrad of anhidrosis, hypotrichosis, hypodontia, and typical facies with a wide constellation of developmental defects of tissues derived from the ectoderm. Most of these patients have normal or borderline normal intelligence, but some present with mental retardation. A 15-year-old boy and his younger brother were evaluated for dry skin and intolerance to heat since their births. Their parents and other brother were normal. Both of them had atopic dermatitis. A skin biopsy was done on their left axilla, which showed a few immature eccrine glands in the dermis. We report herein two rare cases of AED in siblings with atopic dermatitis.

5.Clinicohistopathologic Study of 121 Patients with Subcutaneous Lipomas.
Korean Journal of Dermatology 1987;25(3):366-372
We reviewed the clinico-histopathologic aspects. of 121 patients diagnosed as subcutaneons lipamas in 1981~1986, Additionally, the size of lipoma cells was statistica, lly compared with normal controls. The results were obtained as follows: The majority of patients visited the surgical department, specially general surgcry, whereas only 7 visited dermatology. The ratio of solitary to multiple type was 10:1. Females predominated in the patients with solitary type, outnumbering males in multiple type. While solitary type consisted of 98 patients (89.1%) with SL, 10 with FL and 3 with AL, multiple type had 7 with SL and 4 with AL. There were prominent incidences in the 5th and 6th decades followed by a slow decline. Faur of all 6 AL patients were multiple type. Males were affected in all but one. All AL patients showed non-infiltrating. The torso was mostly involved in 60.4% In 7 of all 17 AL lesions, the upper extremity was predorninantly involved. Sixty sevenr of the 136 masses were less than,3cm in diameter. In AL lesions, 76.5% was less than 3cm and likely to be smaller than other 2 types. The presumed time of onset was most common in 1~3 years The size of liporna cells was found to be slightly larger in only SL specimens than in controls(63.65+432pm and 56.32+6.50um respectively; p<0.0l).

6.Identification of eplication-ompetent Dimeric Human Hepatitis B Viral Using PCR Screening Technique.
The Korean Journal of Hepatology 1999;5(3):184-189
BACKGROUND/AIMS: Transfection of the hepatitis B virus (HBV) genome requires the cloning of tandem HBV sequences inserted into a plasmid vector, which is usually screened for by the restriction enzyme digestion of plasmid minipreparation from at least a dozen of bacterial colonies. The aim of this study was to develop a simple alternative screening method for bacterial colonies harbouring tandem HBV sequences by a PCR. METHODS: A set of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) primer was designed to detect the bacterial colonies harbouring "head to tail" dimeric HBV DNA. PCR which amplifies the head to tail junction site of two tandem HBV molecules was performed. RESULTS: PCR products with appropriate size (1.2kb) were obtained. The accurate detection by PCR screening technique was confirmed by enzyme digestion. CONCLUSIONS: These results suggest that PCR screening technique is a simple and rapid method for the identification of bacterial colonies containing tandem HBV sequences.
