Objective: To investigate the relationship between MALT1 mRNA expression in extranodal B cell lymphoma and the pathogenesis of MALToma and DLBCL, and to explore the effect of MALT1 mRNA expression on the clinicopatho-serve the expression of Bcl-2 and Ki-67 in 106 samples of extranodal B cell lymphoma. The mRNA of MALT1 was detected by RT-PCR.Clinicopathological data were reviewed.Follow-up and statistical analysis were performed. Results: Expression of MALT1 mRNA was statistically different between the cases with lymph node metastasis and those without lymph node mestastasis, and between staging Ⅰ-Ⅱ cases and stage Ⅲ-Ⅳ cases, The expression of MALT1 mRNA in cases with posi-tive expression of MALToma, DLBCL, and Bcl-2 was higher than in those without expression of the three indices (P<0.05).However, no significant difference was found in MALT1 mRNA expression between cases with Ki-67≥30% and those with Ki-67<30% (P>0.05).MALT1 mRNA-positive cases showed a worse survival status than MALT1 mRNA-negative cases (P<0.05).Conclusion: Expression of MALT1 gene is different between MALToma and DLBCL.Inhibition of apoptosis by Bcl-2 overexpression caused by activation of NF-κB may lead to the pathogenesis of MALToma and DLBCL.The expression of MALT1 mRNA is associated with the types of lymphoma, involvement of lymph node, stage of lymphoma, and patient sur-vival.The expression of MALT1 gene may be associated with poor prognosis of MALToma and DLBCL.

Objective To explore the role and mechanism of tumor necrosis factor ligand -related molecule 1A (TL1A) in chronic experimental colitis associated intestinal fibrosis .Methods The model of chronic experimental colitis-associated intestinal fibrosis was induced by dextran sodium sulfate (DSS).The mice with high TL1A (L-Tg) expression in lymphoid cells and wild -type mice with the same genetic background were divided into wild type control group, wild type DSS group, transgenic control group and transgenic DSS group. The changes of body mass, length of colon, disease activity index (DAI) and colonic pathological score were compared among different groups .The degree of colonic inflammation was evaluated by Hematoxylin -Eosin (H-E) staining. The degree of intestinal fibrosis was assessed by Masson staining and Sirius red staining .The expression of vimentin, αsmooth muscle actin ( α-SMA), type Ⅰ collagen, Ⅲ collagen and transforming growth factor-β1 ( TGF-β1 ) /Smad3 in colon tissue was examined by immunohistochemistry .T test was performed for statistical analysis. Results The body mass of the transgenic DSS group decreased by (9.6 ± 1.8)%, which was more than wild-type DSS group (6.2 ±1.3)%, the difference was statistically significant (t =3.751, P <0.01).The DAI score and colonic pathological score of transgenic DSS group were both higher than those of wild-type DSS group (7.33 ±0.58 vs.6.00 ±1.00, and 14.00 ±1.05 vs.11.75 ±0.50, respectively), and the differences were statistically significant (t =2.818 and 4.739, both P <0.05).The results of Masson staining and Sirius red staining showed aggravation of intestinal fibrosis .The results of immunohistochemical staining showed that the cumulative positive absorbance values of vimentin , α-SMA, TGF-β1 and Smad3 of wild-type DSS group were lower than those of transgenic DSS group (0.650 ±0.050 vs. 0.800 ±0.020, 0.390 ±0.040 vs.0.600 ±0.040, 0.550 ±0.040 vs.0.730 ±0.040, 0.590 ±0.020 vs. 0.830 ±0.040), and the differences were statistically significant (t =6.823, 9.093, 7.794 and 10.390, all P <0.01).Conclusion TL1A may promote the proliferation and activation of fibroblasts through TGF -β1 /Smad3 pathway, leading to the genesis and development of experimental colitis associated intestinal fibrosis .

OBJECTIVE:
To observe the therapeutic effect of electro-acupuncture on tendon healing and functional recovery of rotator cuff injury in rats and explore the therapeutic mechanism of electro-acupuncture.
METHODS:
Ninety SD rats were randomly divided into electro-acupuncture group, model group and blank control group, and models of rotator cuff injury were established in the former two groups. The rats in electro-acupuncture group was treated with electro-acupuncture after the operation, and those in the other two groups received no treatment. The right forefoot thermal withdrawal latency (TWL), the contents of IL-1β, IL-6 and TNF-α in the synovial fluid and the maximum tension load of supraspinatus tendon were measured at 2, 4 and 8 weeks after the operation.
RESULTS:
TWL in the model group was significantly lower than that in the blank control group and electro-acupuncture group at 2, 4 and 8 weeks after the operation (
CONCLUSIONS
Electro-acupuncture treatment not only effectively reduces the expression of inflammatory factors to relieve pain, but also promotes the repair of damaged tissue to improve the biomechanical properties of rotator cuff in the rat models.

The air quality of simulated moxibustion clinic was tested, which could provide references for the evaluation on air pollution in moxibustion clinic. After the clinical environment of moxibustion was established, the contents of CO,NO, PM 10 and PM 2.5 in the air at 5 different time points (0.5 h, 1 h and 2 h after 10 moxa sticks were ignited as well as 5 min ventilation after 0.5 h moxibustion burning and 5 min ventilation after 1 h moxibustion burning) were measured by testing organizations.0.5 h, 1 h and 2 h after 10 moxa sticks were ignited, the content ranges of CO,NO, PM 10 and PM 2.5 in the air were 15.9 to 37.0 mg/m,0.012 6 to 0.022 4 mg/m,0.22 to 1.28 mg/mand 0.13 to 0.53 mg/m, respectively; the contents of CO, PM 10 and PM 2.5 were higher than national standard. With 5 min ventilation after 0.5 h moxibustion burning and 5 min ventilation after 1 h moxibustion burning, the content ranges of CO,NO,PM 10 and PM 2.5 were 0.3 to 0.4 mg/m,0.015 5 to 0.018 0 mg/m,0.11 to 0.13 mg/mand 0.04 mg/m, respectively; the contents of CO, PM 10 and PM 2.5 were lower than national standard. It is concluded that long-time moxibustion could cause relatively high concentration of moxa smoke, and the contents of CO, PM 10 and PM 2.5 in the air will exceed the national standard. However, by keeping good ventilation, the contents of CO,NO,PM 10 and PM 2.5 in the air can be controlled within safe ranges.
