Journal of Practical Stomatology 2001;0(03):-
Objective:To combine the cold lateral condensation with System B root canal filling techniques in order to increase the amount of gutta-percha to fit different canal that could improve percentage of gutta-percha-filled area(PGFA)and decrease the probability of apical extrusion. Methods: Two groups of extracted human canines (total 80) were prepared by modified double-flared technique and filled with gutta-percha by System B technique and the combined technique respectively. The overfilling samples were collected. A horizontal section was cut 1.5 mm from the apical foramen of each tooth. The cross-sectional area of the canal and the gutta-percha was measured using an image-analysis program. The PGFA was then calculated. Results:Overfilling rate in the combined technique group was significantly lower than that of the control group (P

Objective To understand the etiopathogenesis of pancytopenia (PCP) in Sichuan area and to analyze the statistical difference in the aspects of sex ,season and age .Methods 224 cases of PCP were performed the etiological statistics on sex ,season and age by SPSS11 .0 .Results Among 224 cases of PCP ,46 cases(21% ) were megaloblastic anemia ,followed by 36 cases(16% ) of myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) and 27 cases(12% ) of aplastic anemia(AA) .224 cases of PCP included 110 males(49 .10% ) and 114 females(50 .90% ) ,there was no statistical difference between sexes (P>0 .05) .In the seasons groups ,most of the patients went to see doctor and were diagnosed in the fourth quarter (32% ) and the first quarter was least (13% ) ,the difference between them had statistical significance(P<0 .05);In the age groups ,the age group of 45- <65 years old was the highest(36 .71% ) and the age group of less than 18 years was lowest(3 .57% ) ,the difference between them had statistical significance(P<0 .05) .Conclu-sion Megaloblastic anemia is the main etiology causing PCP in Sichuan area ,and the next is MDS and AA .The sex has no statisti-cal significance to the patients with PCP ,while the incidence rate in the aspects of season and age has statistical significance .

Objective:To compare the quality of root-end preparation quantitatively between ultrasonic retrotips and traditional slow-speed handpiece. Methods: 27 maxillary second bicuspid teeth with two canals and an isthmus were randomly assigned to 3 groups.Root-end preparations were made respectively using ultrasonic diamond tip Berutti and niti tip RE2, ultrasonic 40~#K file and slow-speed handpiece with No.2 round bur. Image processing and analysis system were used to measure the preoperation and postoperation parameters for further evaluating the difference between the two techniques. Results: The cutting volume of ultrasonic instruments was less than slow-speed handpiece(P<0.000 1). Conclusion: Ultrasonic instrument is better in the root-end preparation than traditional slow-speed handpiece.

Objective:To compare the quality of the canal isthmus retropreparation among three ultrasonic retrotips.Methods:120 maxillary bicuspid teeth with 2 canals and an isthmus were randomly assigned to 3 groups(n =40).The canal isthmus were retro-preparated by ultrasonic Ni-Ti tip RE2,diamond tip Berutti and #25K file respectively. The quality of cavity margin, the number and type of the micro-cracks were evaluated by SEM.Data were statistically analysed by Kruskal Wallis Test of SPSS 13.0.Results:The cavity margin quality of ultrasonic Ni-Ti tip RE2 group was superior to that of other 2 groups(P =0.003);The number of micro-crack in Ni-Ti tip RE2 group was less than that of other 2 groups(P =0.003).The type of micro-cracks has no significant difference among the 3 groups(P =0.830).Conclusion:Ultrasonic Ni-Ti tip RE2 is feasible in the canal isthmus retropreparation.

Objective To observe the effect of electroacupuncture in preventing delayed cerebral vasospasm (DCVS).Method Sixteen healthy Japanese big ear rabbits were randomized into a treatment group and a control group, 8 in each group. The treatment group was developed into models by intramuscular anesthesia on the 6th day after 5 days’ 20-min daily intervention of transcutaneous acupoint electrical stimulation during a specific time period; the control group was developed into models by the same way on the 6th day but without electrical stimulation. The diameter of basilar artery was measured by using CTA prior to the electrical stimulation and after modeling in both groups, the plasma levels of ET-1, CGRP, and IL-6 were detected, and behavioral changes 1 d, 3 d, and 5 d after modeling were observed.Result After modeling, there was a significant difference in comparing the basilar artery diameter between the two groups (P<0.05). The plasma levels of ET-1, CGRP, and IL-6 in the treatment group were significantly different from that in the control group (P<0.05). In the treatment group, the neural function scores 3 d and 5 d after modeling were markedly different from that 1 d after modeling (P<0.05). There were significant differences in comparing the neural function scores 3 d and 5 d after modeling between the two groups (P<0.05).Conclusion Pre-intervention with electroacupuncture prevents and improves DCVS possibly via modulating the levels of ET-1, CGRP, and IL-6, and subsequently involving in anti-inflammation, immune inhibition, and vasodilation.

Objective To test the efficacy of low-frequency electrical acupoint stimulation plus rehabilitation training in improving swallowing function after stroke. MethodsEighty dysphagic stroke patients were randomly allocated into 2 groups of 40.Patients in the experimental group received low-frequency electrical acupoint stimulation plus 2 courses of rehabilitation training.Control group patients received the same protocol, but the electrical stimulation was not over acupoints.Their swallowing function was assessed using the Kubota water drinking test.ResultsAfter treatment, both groups showed significantly lower Kubota scores compared with pre-treatment.Prepost test difference was 1.25 ± 0.78 in the experimental group and 0.70 ± 0.72 in the control group,a significant difference. The total recovery rate in the experimental group was 87.5%.In the control group it was 55%.The improvement in swallowing function was significantly better in the experimental group. Conclusion Both groups showed a significant improvement in swallowing function, but low-frequency electrical acupoint stimulation increased the effectiveness of the rehabilitation training.

Chinese Journal of School Health 2019;40(10):1536-1538
Objective:
This paper analyzes the changing trends of lower limb strength and flexibility in colleges in Ningxia for 14 years, and provides a reference for government and school to jointly guide college students to improve their lower limb strength and flexibility.
Methods:
Data of physical health of 19 to 22 years old college students in Ningxia were collected from 2000-2014. Mean value, standard deviation and index compliance were used to describe the development trend of lower limb strength and flexibility indexes.
Results:
From 2000 to 2014, the variation trend of lower limb strength of boys and girls in ningxia university was basically the same, and they all decreased first, then increased and then decreased(P<0.05). The variation trend of flexibility of boys and girls was basically the same, rising first and then falling (P<0.05). The mean values of standing long jump and sitting forward bend of boys and girls were higher in rural area than in urban area (P<0.05). There was no age group difference in the mean of standing long jump of girls in 2014, and no age group difference in the mean of standing long jump of boys and girls in other years (P<0.05).
Conclusion
The lower limb strength and flexibility of boys and girls in Ningxia from 2000 to 2014 showed a declining trend, and effective intervention measures should be taken in time.
