Objective To analyze the implementation effects of peer-assisted learning on critical thinking ability of undergraduate nursing students. Methods A total of 411 college nursing students were selected with 203 students of Class One, Class Three, and Class Five from Grade 2012 majoring in nursing were taken as the control group, 208 students of Class Two, Class Four, and Class Six as the experimental group. In the course of basic nursing practice, the control group was trained by the traditional practice, and the experimental group was trained by the way of peer mutual aid. Critical thinking disposition inventory Chinese version (CTDI-CV) was adopted to evaluate the level of critical thinking ability of the nursing students of both groups. SPSS 17.0 was used and the data of the two groups were compared by t test. Results The score of experimental group students' critical thinking ability and the score of 7 dimensions including their seeking truth, analysis ability, self-confidence, inquisitiveness, cognitive maturity, open mind and systematic ability were higher than those before the experiment (P<0.05). The total score of the experimental group students' critical thinking ability and the score of 5 dimensions including seeking truth , analysis ability, self-confidence, curiosity and cognitive maturity were higher than those of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Peer-assisted learning is beneficial to the improvement of critical thinking ability of nursing undergraduate students.

Objective: To evaluate the quality of life,peripheral blood and immune function of patients with malignant tumors treated by PSP.Methods: We searched MEDLINE,Pubmed and other databases by computer.We assessed the identified studies in order to include high quality studies.Results:A total of 7 into the study,701 cases of patients.Meta analysis showed that polysacchariopeptide treatment for patients with certain malignant tumors after chemotherapy might improve the quality of life.Polysacchariopeptide group combined with chemotherapy drugs might improve the white blood cells,hemoglobin,platelet compared to chemotherapy drugs or batyl alcohol drugs combined with chemotherapy.Polysacchariopeptide drug combined with chemotherapy may increase the CD_3~+ ,CD_4~+ ,CD_8~+ and CD_4~+/CD_8~+ ratio,and the NK cells was no significant difference.Conclusion:PSP combined with chemotherapy to treat malignant tumors has a certain effect.However,most of trials included in the review may be of low quality,therefore,it may be neccessity to conduct multi-center randomized-controlled trials of high quality.

Objective To investigate the effects of electroacupuncture (EA) on spatial learning and memory ability, long-term potentiation (LTP) and synaptophysin (Syp) levels in the dentate gyrus of the hippocampus.Methods Forty Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into a sham-operated control group, a model group, an EA group and a medication group. A rat model of vascular dementia (VD) was established by repeated ischemia and reperfusion after pretreatment with sodium nitroprusside. EA was applied to the rat homologues of the human "Baihui" (GV20) and "Dazhui" (DU14) acupoints of the rats in the EA group for 20 min, once daily for 10 d.Morris water maze tests were conducted for evaluating the rats,learning and memory ability. LTP in the hippocampal dentate gyrus was recorded as an electrophysiological index for evaluating learning and memory. Antigenic Syp produced in hippocampal tissue was examined with immunohistochemical assays. Results In comparison the with model group, escape latency (EL) shortened and target-platform crossing times increased significantly in the EA and medication groups. After high frequency stimulation the population spike (PS) latency shortened in the EA group compared with the model group, and the excitatory postsynaptic potential (EPSP) slope and PS amplitude increased.All of these differences were statistically significant. Syp positive cells also increased significantly in the EA-treated rats. Conclusions EA can increase Syp expression and improve the learning and memory ability of rats with this model of VD. EA could facilitate the induction and maintenance of LTP in the dentate gyrus of the hippocampus through influencing synaptic transmission.

Objective To investigate the diagnostic accuracy and the clinical usefulness of the combination of troponin I (cTnI) and copeptin detected in patients with suspected non-ST elevation myocardial infarction. Methods 176 patients presenting to the emergency departments with chest chocking or chest pain within 6 hours and without ST elevation on a 12-lead electrocardiogram (ECG) were enrolled in this study. The level of copeptin and cTnI was measured. The diagnosis was adjudicated by 2 independent experts.The diagnostic performance of them was assessed using ROC analysis , and the sensitivity and specificity of them were inferred based on the positive rate of two cardiac markers. Results (1)The levels of copeptin and cTnI in NSTEMI patients were markedly higher than other groups (P<0.05).(2)The AUCs of copeptin and cTnI were 0.846 and 0.683, and the 95%CI of two markers were 0.786 ~ 0.906 and 0.577 ~ 0.789, respectively. (3)Using 10.85 pmol/L as cut off value,the sensitivity and specificity of copeptin were 90% and 64%,and the positive predictive value and the negative predictive valueof NSTEMI diagnose were 42.4% and 95.6%,respectively.Using 0.05 ng/mL as cut off value,the sensitivity and specificity of cTnI were 42.5% and 94.1%,the positive predictive value and the negative predictive value were 68%and 84.8% for diagnosis of NSTEMI. (4)The copeptin level over 10.85 pmol/L in combination with cTnI could be used to detect NSTEMI with higher sensitivity than that of copeptin or cTnI alone (95% vs 90% vs 42.5%). The negative predictive value of the combination of copeptin and cTnI was increased , compared to that of copeptin or cTnI alone (97.7% vs 95.6% vs 85.7%). Conclusions Determination of copeptin in addition to cTnI can improves diagnostic performance , especially early after chest pain onset. It seems to allow a rapid and reliable rule out of NSTEMI.

Protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) 1B is a potential target for the treatment of diabetes and obesity. We have previously identified the benzoyl sulfathiazole derivative II as a non-competitive PTP1B inhibitor with in vivo insulin sensitizing effects. Preliminary SAR study on this compound series has been carried out herein, and thirteen new compounds have been designed and synthesized. Among them, compound 10 exhibited potent inhibition against human recombinant PTP1B with the IC50 value of 3.97 micromol x L(-1), and is comparable to that of compound II.

Objective To check the changes of endothelial progenitor cell (EPC) number of patients with anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL) in the peripheral blood,investigate their clinical significance.Methods The number of EPC in blood was determined by FCM method in 30 patients with ALCL and 10 healthy cases as the control group.Results The number of EPC in the peripheral blood of patients with ALCL before treatment was significantly higher (15.530±28.659/μl) than that in control group (0.515 ±0.294/μl,P ＜ 0.001).The number of EPC of ALCL patients in the high-risk groups (21.521±36.057/μl) and the middle-risk groups (16.830±24.273/μ1) differently increaasd than that of the low-risk group (6.508±7.356/μl,P ＜ 0.01),but between the high-risk groups and the middle-risk groups there was no significant value (P ＞ 0.05).There were significant difference between the number of EPC of ALK+-ALCL (8.367±9.609/μl) and ALK-ALCL (22.541± 20.845/μl) patients (P ＜ 0.01).The survive curve before 60 weeks had significant difference between groups of ＞20/μl and ＜20/μl of EPC.Conclusion EPC may be correlated with progression of the disease in a certain degree.Dynamic observation with the level of EPC may be used to evaluate the treatment outcomes and act as a prognostic marker for ALCL.

Aim To explore the differences in hyper-trophic marker genes such as atrial natriuretic peptide ( ANP) , brain natriuretic peptide ( BNP) and β-myo-sin heavy chain (β-MHC) genes in different models of cardiac hypertrophy. Methods Respectively using re-nal abdominal aortic coarctation ( AAC) , arteriovenous fistula ( AVF) and isoproterenol ( ISO) methods to es-tablish C57BL/6 mouse model of cardiac hypertrophy. After modeling, each mouse ’ s body weight ( BW ) , heart weight ( HW) and left ventricular weight ( LVW) were weighed, and the heart weight ( HW/BW) and left ventricular index ( LVW/BW ) were calculated;myocardium by HE staining, pathological morphologi-cal changes were observed; myocardium by immuno-histochemistry, ANP, BNP and β-MHC protein ex-pression was observed;myocardium by Real-time PCR detection, ANP, BNP and β-MHC mRNA expression was observed. Results Compared with control group, HW/BW and LVW/BW were increased in three mod-els. Through the light microscope, each mouse model showed varying degrees of cardiac hypertrophy. ANP, BNP and β-MHC were increased in the protein and mRNA expression. Compared with AAC group, AVF and ISO groups’ myocardial tissue ANP, BNP and β-MHC expression were decreased in the protein and mRNA expression. Conclusions Three cardiac hy-pertrophy models are successful. Cardiac tissue ANP, BNP and β-MHC expression in AAC model exceeds AVF and ISO model.

ObjectiveTo explore the attentional biases in male alcohol dependent (AD) patients and the correlations between the attentional bias and alcohol-related factors.MethodsA total of 30 recently detoxified male individuals with alcoholism were compared with 37 healthy controls ( HC ) on the Chinese Emotional Stroop Task using negative,neutral,and alcohol-related words.ResultsThe comparison between AD group( ( 1382.13 ±323.38) ms,( 1365.76 ±313.03)ms,( 1433.20 ±342.23) ms,respectively) and HC group( (797.27 ±216.97)ms,( 794.11 ± 209.41 ) ms,(799.40 ± 215.82 ) ms respectively) on the reaction time of neutral,negative and alcohol-related words were significant ( t =8.822,P ＜ 0.001 ; t =8.922,P ＜ 0.001 ; t =9.234,P ＜ 0.001 ).The error number of of the neutral and negative- related words of the patients ( ( 3.70 ± 2.56) time,( 4.23 ± 2.53 ) time)was worse than that of HC group( ( 2.11 ± 1.87 ) time,( 1.92 ± 1.82 ) time) ( t =2.939,P =0.005 ; t =4.355,P ＜0.01 ).Error number of the alcohol- related words between two groups were not significant;Its alcohol-related words attentional bias negative correlation to the age of initial alcohol use(P＜ 0.05 ),and positive correlation to continue drinking and score of self-rating depression scale (P＜0.05).Age of addiction and the score of self-rating anxiety scale enter the regression equation of alcohol-related words.ConclusionThese results demonstrate that alcoholics have attentional bias in alcohol-related words and reward-related brain regions may be associated with craving among male patients with attentional bias.

Objective To characterize the whole-sequence of plasmid pB557-NDM isolate from Enterbacter cloacae and elaborate its antibiotic-resistant mechanisms .Methods Antibiotic resistance genes were determined by PCR , followed by amplicon sequencing .The activity of class A/B/D carbapenemases was determined by modified Carba NP test .Conjugation experiments were performed to verify the transferability of plasmid pB 557-NDM.The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) values of bacterial strains were tested using VITEK 2.The genetic structure, mobile elements and antibiotic-resistant mechanisms of transferable plasmid pB 557-NDM were determined by a whole genome sequencing method .Results The modified CarbaNP test showed that B557 and B557-EC600 had class B carbapenemase activity , and that the blaNDM was carried by plasmid pB557-NDM.This plasmid could be transferred into E.coli through conjugation experiments and therefore could confer corresponding antibiotic resistances to the transconjugant B 557-EC600.Plasmid pB557-NDM was an IncA/C2 plasmid, whose total length was 141.65 kb, and the GenBank accession number was KX786648.It had two inserted regions.One was the blaCMY-6 region where the blaCMY gene was carried by a transposition unit IS Ecp1-blaCMY , the other was the blaNDM-1 region which consisted of a ΔTn1696-In46-rmtC-ISKpn14-ΔTn125 complex structure.Conclusion The production of plasmid pB557-NDM in strain B557 contributes most to its high resistance to many antibiotics .The blaNDM-1 gene is carried in a trancated transposition ΔTn125.

Objective To study the serum levels of oxidative stress markers in the new type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD),and the effect of o-lipoic acid (A-LA) on oxidative stress markers.Methods From August 2016 to August 2017,80 new T2DM patients complicated with NAFLD (T2DM + NAFLD group) and 80 new T2DM patients without NAFLD (T2DM group) admitted to Xuzhou Municipal Hospital Affiliated to Xuzhou Medical University were selected.The serum levels of Fasting blood glucose (FPG),body mass index (BMI),triglyceride (TG),total cholesterol (TC),high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C),low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C),insulin resistance index (HOMA-IR),serum superoxide dismutase (SOD),serum malondialdehyde (MDA),glutathione peroxidase (GSH-PX) were detected and compared between the two groups.And then,the T2DM patients with NAFLD were treated by A-LA for two weeks.The SOD,MDA,GSH-PX levels were compared before and after treatment.Results The FPG,BMI,TG,HOMA-IR of the T2DM + NAFLD group were (10.71 ± 3.63) mmol/L,(27.08 ± 3.87) kg/m2,(3.40 ± 1.85) mmol/L,(5.40 ± 2.98),respectively,which were significantly higher than those of the T2DM group[(9.50 ± 3.78)mmol/L,(23.58 ± 2.75) kg/m2,(1.79 ± 1.44) mmol/L,(2.41 ± 1.18)] (t =2.022,6.603,2.829,4.157,all P ＜ 0.05).The age and levels of HbA1c,TC,HDL-C,LDL-C between the two groups had no statistically significant differences (all P ＞ 0.05).The level of MDA in the T2DM + NAFLD group was (5.11 ± 0.25) μmol/L,which was significantly higher than (4.56 ±0.28) μmol/L in the T2DM group(t =2.106,P ＜0.05).The levels of SOD,GSH-PX,SOD/MDA in the T2DM + NAFLD group were (77.42 ± 10.31) U/mL,(69.62 ± 9.24) U,(15.39 ± 2.23),respectively,which were significantly lower than those in the T2DM group [(93.26 ± 11.21) U/mL,(87.54 ± 9.58) U,(20.33 ± 2.93)] (t =2.455,2.653,3.148,all P ＜ 0.05).After treatment with A-LA,the MDA level of the T2DM + NAFLD group was (4.81 ±0.26) μmol/L,which was significantly lower than that before treatment[(5.11 ±0.25) μmol/L,t=2.117,P ＜0.05],the levels of SOD,GSH-PX,SOD/MDA of the T2DM + NAFLD group were (87.15 ± 10.88) U/mL,(78.73 ± 9.57) U,(18.05 ± 2.51),respectively,which were significantly higher than those before treatment (t =2.117,2.207,2.228,3.148,all P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion A-LA might prove usefully in the treatment of patients with T2DM and NAFLD by change the oxidative stress.
