1.Preparation and determination of polyclonal immune milk to H pylori

Objective:To prepare anti-H pylori immune milk to prevent the infection of H pylori.Methods:The whole active H pylori as immunogen, cows were immunized and the polyclonal immune milk to H pylori was obtained. Results: With direct agglutination test and doubled agar diffusion detection, the titer of antibody was 1:2 048 and 1:32.Conclusion: The prepared immune milk against H pylori has good polyclonal specificity and high antibody titeration.
2.Effects of Intermittent Hypoxic Exposure on the Production of Erythrocyte and Some Haematopoietic Factor in Rats with Exercise-Induced Anemia

0.05).Conclusion The hypoxic exposure can accelerate the production of erythrocyte, and treat the exercise-induced anemia effectively. Improvement of some haematopoietic factors and enhancement of hematopoiesis in marrow is thought to be the possible mechanism.
3.Effect of Kechuanning on Expression of IL-5mRNA in Lung Tissue of Bronchial Asthmatic Rats

Objective To observe effect of Kechuanning on the expression of IL-5mRNA in lung tissue of bronchial asthmatic rats.Methods Forty rats were randomly divided into 5 groups:the normal group,the model group,Kechuanning high-dose group (27 g/kg),Kechuanning low-dose group (13.5 g/kg),Guilong Kechuanning control group (0.45 g/kg),8 rats in each group.The bronchial asthmatic model was established by egg protein sensibilization and inhalation provocation.The rats of each treatment group were lavage administration each day from the first time of provocation to execution.After 4 weeks of treatment,the rats were killed and lung tissue were taken to dying of HE to be observed.The expression of IL-5mRNA in lung tissue were determined by RT-PCR.Result Compared with the normal group,the thickness of bronchus wall and bronchus smooth muscle,the numbers of eosinophile granulocyte and leukomonocyte,and expression of IL-5mRNA in lung tissue were increased (P

Clinical experience of professor YANG Mu-xiang in treating hypertension,hyperplasia of prostate gland,acne and thyroid hyperfunction by brunellae spica were introduced,it was considered that the taste of brunellae spica was bitter and sweet,which was not hurt the spleen and stomach,and its cold nature was not consumption of yang,and it could remove hepatic heat,and have the function of eliminating stagnation.It was used when position of disease was liver,and pathogenesis was stagnation of liver qi or accumulation of heat;the dosage of 10-15g was used when the cooling-relieving heat accumulation therapy,and the dosage of 15-30g was used when eliminating stagnation.
5.The Expression of Interleukin 13 mRNA in Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells in Patients with Ulcerative Colitis

Objective To explore the expression of interleukin 13(IL-13) mRNA in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) and its association with serum C-reaction protein(CRP) in patients with ulcerative colitis(UC). Methods IL-13 mRNA expression in PBMCs was detected by RT-PCR in patients with UC(21 cases of active UC and 10 cases of quiescent UC)and 20 healthy subjects. At the same time, the serum level of CRP was detected by ELISA. Results The expression level of IL-13 mRNA in PBMCs of patients with active UC was significantly lower than that in PBMCs of patients with quiescent UC and healthy subjects (6.45?1.23 vs 14.72?2.12 or 15.17?2.38,P0.05). BACKGROUND: The onset of vascular dementia (VD) is closely related to brain ischemic-hypoxia. Previous research has proved that behavioral disturbance can be obviously attenuated by xingnao qizhi capsule in VD rats; however, it remains unclear whether the improvement of VD is due to the protection on ischemic cells.OBJECTIVE: Pheochromocytoma PC12 cells were cultured in vitro and exposed to Na2S2O4 to induce hypoxia injury. Then serum pharmacological technique was used to investigate the protection of xingnao qizhi drug serum on hypoxia-injured PC12 cells.DESIGN: Randomized controlled study.SETTING: School of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Hebei Medical College.PARTICIPANTS: This study was conduced at the Experimental Animal Laboratory and Cell Culture Laboratory, School of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Hebei Medical College, between June and December 2003.Forty SD rats were randomized into 5 groups, namely serum control group (n=12) and xingnao qizhi serum 25.42, 12.71, 6.35 and 3.18 g/kg groups (n=7). PC12 cell line was purchased form the Cell Center of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences.serum 25.42, 12.71, 6.35 and 3.18 g/kg groups were exposed through gastric lavage to xingnao qizhi of corresponding dosages (composed of wolfberwhile normal saline was given by gastric lavage to rats in control group in dosage of 10 mL/kg, twice a day at an interval of 12 hours for 3 consecutive days. One hour after the last administration, femoral blood samples were collected when rats were deeply anaesthetized and serum was sepainto 6 groups. Cells in control group were cultured with control serum while in experimental model groups cells were exposed to Na2S2O4 to induce hypoxia injury 1 hour later. Cells in Xingnao Qizhi 25.42, 12.71,6.35 and 3.18 g/kg groups were cultured in 5% drug serum with corresponding dosage of xingnao qizhi drug for 1 hour before being exposed to changes of PC12 cells in the six groups were observed under reversal microscope after exposure to Na2S2O4 for 16 hours; the inhibition rate of lactate dehydrogenase production and PC12 cell injury (MTT method) was calculated for assessing cell activity.nase production and PC12 cell injury.of xingnao qizhi displayed better refraction, with fewer cell fragments that tion: It was 81.6%, 69.6%, 54.4% and 27.8% in xingnao qizhi 25.42,PC12 cell injury: It was 82.9%, 75.6%, 65.9% and 53.7% in Xingnao Qizhi 25.42, 12.71, 6.35 and 3.18 g/kg groups, respectively.CONCLUSION: xingnao qizhi drug serum can markedly attenuate hypoxia injury of PC12 cells in dose-dependant manner, which is presented by strengthened cell activity and decreased lactate dehydrogenase activity.
8.Analysis of the lymphocyte subsets of 508 cases of cancer patients

Objective To study the characteristics of peripheral blood lymphocyte subsets in patients with lung cancer,gastric cancer and breast cancer.Methods Five hundred and eight patients with cancer from the First Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (256 cases with lung cancer,152 cases with gastric cancer,100 cases with breast cancer),and 50 healthy volunteers were collected.Two ml peripheral blood were obtained from these cases.The distribution of lymphocyte subsets in peripheral blood was measured by flow cytometry in these cases.The data were analyzed using SPSS 16.0 software.Results The number of lymphocytes of cancer patients was decreased,the healthy volunteers was 5125,breast cancer patient was 3642,gastric cancer patient was 3178,lung cancer patient was 2895.The case of outliers of lymphocyte subsets classified based on the three kinds of cancer was 218 (85.2%,lung cancer),133 (87.5%,gastric cancer),88 (88.0%,breast cancer).The case of outliers of T-lymphocyte subsets classified based on the three kinds of cancer was 83 (32.4%,lung cancer),32 (32.0%,breast cancer),44 (28.9%,gastric cancer).The case of outliers of CD4 +/CD8 + classified based on the three kinds of cancer was 185 (72.3%,lung cancer),108 (71.1%,gastric cancer),84 (84.0%,breast cancer).The case of outliers of natural killer-lymphocyte subsets classified based on the three kinds of cancer was 32 (12.5%,lung cancer),22 (14.5%,gastric cancer),16 (16.0%,breast cancer).The case of outliers of B-lymphocyte subsets classified based on the three kinds of cancer was 38 (14.8%,lung cancer),52 (34.2%,gastric cancer),12 (12.0%,breast cancer).Compared to healthy subjects,the CD19+% of patients with lung cancer was decreased (12.8 ± 5.0 vs.11.5 ± 5.7,t =3.006,P =0.003);the CD4 + % of patients with gastric cancer was decreased (39.2 ±7.7 vs.35.3 ± 7.6,t =2.315,P =0.023);the CD19 + % of patients with gastric cancer was decreased (12.8 ± 5.0 vs.8.9 ± 4.2,t =3.302,P =0.010);the CD8 + % of patients with breast cancer was increased (24.0 ± 8.1 vs.29.1 ± 13.0,t =2.019,P =0.047).Conclusion The number of lymphocytes in cancer patients is decreased,the abnormal rates of lymphocyte subsets in the three kinds of cancer patients are higher than those in healthy volunteers,the lymphocyte subsets of different kinds of cancers perform different characteristics.
