OBJECTIVE: To investigate the clinical application and developing trend of narcotic analgesics in our hospital.METHODS: Analgesics used in our hospital during 2003～2007 were analyzed statistically.RESULTS: The consumption(amount of money and quantity) of narcotic analgesics especially that of morphine preparation witnessed an year-on-year increase while that of pethidine injection decreased year by year.CONCLUSION: The use of narcotic analgesics in our hospital was reasonable on the whole,but the dosage form and variety should be increased further.

Objective To study the probability of transferring the regulatory T cells induced by TGF-β1 to prolong the allograft survival and the mechanisms involved.Methods According to the different culture conditions.three experimental groups were established:control group(T cells from C57 BL/6 mice cultured with II-2),MLR group(T cells from C57BL/6 mice activated by alloantigen)and TGF-βgroup(T cells from C57BL/6 mice activated by alloantigen and cultured with 5.0 ng/ml TGF-β1).After the culture,the ratio of CI4+CD25+T and the Foxq3 expression were measured by FACS and RT-PCR,respectively.On 9th day,the pathologic analysis was performed and the ratios of TH1,TH2 and Treg and the proliferation of lymphocytes were measured.Results The ratio of CD4+CD25+T in TGF-β group was higher than that in control group and MLR group(P<0.05),and Foxp3 was expressed in CD4+CD25+T cell from TGF-βgroup.After transferring ofthe cells,the allografi survival time in TGF-β group was prolonged and its mean survival time(MST)was(22.8±1.9)d,which was longer than that in MLR group and control group (P0.05),lower than that of control group(P<0.05). Objective To analyze the imaging manifestations of primary non-Hodgkin lymphoma of skeletal muscle and improve the recognition of this rare disease.Methods Five cases of primary non-Hodgkin lymphoma of skeletal muscle proved pathologically underwent imaging exam,including MRI and CT in 3 cases,only MRI in 1 case,only CT in 1 case,X-ray in 2 cases and bone scintigraphy in 2 cases.Results Diffuse enlargements of involved muscle with presentation of overall configuration were observed in all five cases.All 4 cases manifested as homogeneous soft masses,which is isoattenuating to normal muscle on unenhanced CT images.After intravenous injection of contrast media,the masses enhanced homogeneously and slightly(2 cases)or moderately(1 case)on CT images.The lesions were homogenous and had isointense or slightly low signal intensity compared with that of uninvolved muscle on T1-weighted images and high signal intensity on T2-weighted images.After intravenous injection of contrast media,all 2 cases enhanced homogeneously and moderately with the enhanced signal intensity of involved muscle greatly higher than that of uninvolved muscle on MR images.Two cases of X-ray plain showed no destruction of bone and 2 cases of bone scintigraphy exams showed increased radiotracer uptake of involved muscle with no infiltration of bone marrow.Conclusion There are several characteristics on the imaging of primary non-Hodgkin lymphoma of skeletal muscle.MRI is the optimal imaging method for the diagnosis of this disease.

This article is aimed to establish the method of quality standards for highland barley Monascus.Microscopic and TLC were adopted to identify Araliataibaiensis. Referring the relevant method in Chinese Pharmacopoeia (2010 edition) for the determination of its moisture, total ash, acid insoluble ash and extracts,lovastatin in acid and lactone form was determined using high performance liquid chromatography. The characteristics of highland barley Monascus in microscopic and TLC were obvious and specific. The contents in barley red yeast are: water 6.04%-8.78%, total ash 2.15%-2.92%, acid insoluble ash 0.23%-0.29%, water extracts 27.99%-30.17%; alcohol extracts 14.12%-18.51%. The ranges of lovastatin in acid and lactone form are 0.11%-0.29% and 0.02%-0.08%, respectively. The established method is simple, accurate, reliable and duplicable, and can be used to control the quality of highland barley Monascus.

Objective To analyze MR imaging manifestations of spinal area lymphoma in order to improve the recognition and understanding of the disease. Methods A group of 45 patients with pathologically or clinically proven spinal area lymphoma were reviewed. Five cases were primary NHL,40 cases were secondary with 9 HL and 31 NHL (27 B-cell type NHL and 4 T-cell type NHL). MR Imaging findings were analyzed and correlated with clinical and pathologic findings. Results (1) Location of lesions: 13 cases were focal type and 32 cases were multifocal type. All of the 5 patients with primary lymphoma were focal type, while 32 of 40 cases of secondary lymphoma were multifocal type. (2) Type oflesions: ①Vertebral destruction: 27 cases manifested as bone destruction with 23 of them had soft tissuemass and the extent of soft tissue masses were larger than that of bone destruction in 18 cases.②Soft tissuemasses: 6 cases manifested as soft masses without obvious bone destruction, of which 5 cases had soft tissuemasses imbedded vertebrae and communicated paravertebral and epidural spaces through intervertebralforamen.③Bone marrow infiltration: 9 cases of secondary spinal lympboma had signal intensity changes ofbone marrow without obvious cortical bone destruction and soft tissue mass. ④ Spinal cord infiltration:3 cases of secondary spinal lymphoma had spinal cord swelling and signal intensity changes. (3) MRIfindings: all lesions of bone destruction and marrow infiltration manifested as hypointense on T1-weightedimages, hypointense, isointense or hyperintense on T2-weighted images and hyperintense on T2-weightedimages with fat-suppression technique. All soft tissue masses were homogeneous hypointense on T1-weightedimages and hyperintense on T2-weighted images. After intravenous injection of contrast media, the lesions ofthe bone and the soft tissue showed mild or moderate enhancement without remarkable cystic degenerationand necrosis. Conclusions Most of the spinal area lymphoma is the secondary B type NHL with complexMRI manifestation. Osteolytic lesion with contiguous paravertebral soft tissue mass imbedded vertebrae whichcommunicated paravertebral and epidural spaces through intervertebral foramen with a mild or moderateenhancement may suggest the diagnosis of this rare disease.

This study was aimed to establish and optimize the reaction system of MSAP for analysis on DNA methylation inCyathula officinalis Kuan of Sichuanmedicinal. The tender leaves ofC. officinalisKuan were used as materials. Orthogonal method was used in the study of main factors which affected the system quality of MSAP. The results showed that the optimal reaction systems of MSAP included: enzyme digestion (20μL), 300 ng DNA, 1.5μL EcoRI, 1.5μL HpaII or 1.5μL MspI (HpaII); ligation (25μL): 15μL digestion products, 1μL EcoR I adaptor, 1μL Hpa II/Msp I adaptor, 0.2μL T4 ligase; pre-amplication mixture (25μL): ligation products 1μL, rTaq polymerase 1 U, each primer 1.5μL, dNTP 2μL; selective amplification mixture (25μL): pre-amplification product was diluted 50 times, rTaq polymerase 1 U, each primer 1.5μL, dNTP 3μL. The optimal MSAP reaction system was used to screen for 6 pairs of effective primers from 256 pairs of primers of MSAP. It was concluded that the optimized system ensured the stable and clear bands and the screened 6 pairs of primers were with good specificity. It provided useful references for further studies of epigenetic onC. officinalisKuan DNA methylation and MSAP analysis for other medicinal plants.

Internal fixation is one of the most important treatments for fractures.The stability of screws in internal fixation can be influenced by bone mineral density,quality of pilot holes,improper structure and surface characteristics of screws chosen,insertion torque,insertion angle,and screws unfit for the bone holes.Internal fixation of fractures can fail due to the instability of screws.This paper,on the basis of a comprehensive review of the studies on all the above factors influencing the screw stability,proposes effective methods to enhance screw stability so as to improve surgical outcomes of fracture internal fixation.

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the effectiveness,safety and economy about Wenxin granules in the treatment of cardio-vascular diseases based on Meta-analysis. METHODS:Using“Wenxin granules”“Wenxinkeli”“Wenxin”as the search terms, searching PubMed,ProQuest,Springer,The Cochrane Library,CNKI,VIP and Wanfang data(Jan. 2000-Oct. 2015)through com-puter,relevant journals and conference papers by hand,randomized controlled trials about Wenxin granules in the treatment of car-diovascular diseases were screened and classified according to indications. Meta-analysis was performed by using RevMan 5.3 soft-ware,while cost-effectiveness analysis and minimum cost analysis were used for economic evaluation. RESULTS:Totally,38 liter-atures were involved,including 20 literatures of arhythmia,9 of premature ventricualr contraction,4 of coronary disease angina pectoris,3 of unstable angina pectoris,2 of pediatric viral myocarditis. Meta-analysis showed that compared with control drug, Wenxin granules showed better clinical efficacy for arrhythmia with less ADR;showed better clinical efficacy and ECG efficacy for premature ventricualr contraction with less ADR;showed better clinical efficacy for angina pectoris of coronary disease,unstable angina pectoris and pediatric viral myocarditis,with statistical significance (P<0.05). The incremental cost-effectiveness analysis showed that the additional cost of Wenxin granules in the treatment of above indications was worth it all,compared to control drug. Single factor sensitivity analysis supported the stability of results. CONCLUSIONS:Wenxin granules have a better effectiveness, safety and economy in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases,but still need high-quality evidence to support.

Objective To investigate the characteristics of cerebral vascular imaging and risk factors of stroke in popu?lation with family history of stroke in rural areas of Ji County, Tianjin. Methods The volunteers with family history of stroke were recruited in the study to undergo computed tomography and computed tomography angiography (CTA) of head as well as physical and laboratory examinations. A total of 281 subjects, including 153 male and 128 female, underwent exami?nation, and were divided into stroke group and non-stroke group. Results The detection rates were significantly higher in male subjects than those of female subjects, including smoking rate, drinking rate, educational level, and decreased level of high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), whereas the detection rate of high level of triacylglycerol (TG) was significant?ly higher in female than that of male subjects (P<0.05). There were 38 subjects in stroke group. The age, internal carotid ar?tery calcification rate (ICAC) and internal carotid artery tortuosity (ICAT) rate were significantly higher in stroke group than those of non-stroke group (P<0.05) . The results of multivariate Logistic regression analysis indicated that age, hyperten?sion, ICAC, and ICAT were independent risk factors for stroke. Conclusion For population with family history of stroke, age, hypertension, ICAC and ICAT were risk factors of stroke.

Objective The inhibitory effects of avastin on new blood vessels in nonproliferation diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration and neovascular glaucoma have been demonstrated. But only seldom report of avastin on corneal neovascularization(CNV) was seen. Present study was to evaluate the effect of topical bevacizumab (avastin) on experimental corneal neovascularization in mice. Methods Thirty eyes of 30 Balb/c mice were chemically cauterized by applying a 2 mm-diameter filter paper soaked 1 mol/L NaOH solution at the central cornea for 40 s. All animals were randomly assigned to five groups, including 1 mg/mL, 3 mg/mL and 5 mg/mL bevacizumab eye drops group respectively, 1 mg/mL dexamethasone sodium phosphate eye drops group (positive control) and normal saline solution group (negative control) . The drug was topically utilized twice per day. CNV was examined under the slim lamp on the 3rd, 7th and 14th day after alkali burn. Animals were killed on the 14th day after alkali burn. Area of CNV was calculated in terms of pixels on digital photographs. The use of animals followed the Regulations for the Administration of Affair Concerning Experimental Animals by State Science and Technology Commission. Results No significant difference was found in the grade of corneal injury among five groups (F = 0. 201, P = 0. 935). The area of neovascularization at the cornea surface was (37.11 ±3.17)% in 1 mg/mL bevacizumab group, (29.75 ±3.56)% in 3 mg/mL bevacizumab group, (18. 76 ± 2. 55) % in 5 mg/mL bevacizumab group, (20. 91 ± 2. 75) % in dexamethasone group and (41. 65 ±2. 11)% in normal saline group, showing a significant difference among groups(F = 71. 687, P =0. 000) with the further comparative decline in 5 mg/mL bevacizumab group compared with other groups (P ＜ 0. 01) . Conclusion The topical use of bevacizumab (avastin) inhibits alkali burn-induced CNV in mice.
