1.Technologies for Surface Display of Lipase

Lipase is a kind of widely used hydrolase.Surface display is an efficient method of highthroughput screening for protein engineering of lipase.Besides,lipase displaying on surface of microorganism has many advantages,such as higher stability against high temperature and organic solvent,compared with free lipase,so the host strain displaying lipase can be used as wholecell biocatalyst,which has some advantages compared with traditional immobilization of lipase.There are three kinds of host strain for displaying lipase:phage,bacteria and yeast.The surface display of lipase in the three display systems were systematically discribed,and their current uses and possible trends in the future were discussed also.
2.Comparison and Cluster Analysis of Anthraquinone in Commercially Available Yiqing Granule

OBJECTIVE:To establish a method for the contents determination and cluster analysis of free and combined anthra-quinone of aloe emodin,rhein,emodin,rhubarb phenol and physcion in commercially available Yiqing granule from different man-ufacturers. METHODS:HPLC was performed on the column of Eclipse plus C18 with mobile phase of methanol-0.1%Phosphoricac-id solution (gradient elution) at a flow rate of 0.8 ml/min,the detection wavelength was 254 nm,the column temperature was 25 ℃,and the injection volume was 20 μl. RESULTS:The linear range was 0.001 6-0.128 0 μg for aloe emodin(r=0.999 9), 0.003 4-0.273 6 μg for rhein(r=0.999 9),0.003 7-0.299 2 μg for emodin(r=0.999 9),0.006 7-0.536 0 μg for rhubarb phenol (r=0.999 9)and 0.001 7-0.134 4 μg(r=0.999 9)for physcion;RSDs of precision,stability and reproducibility tests were lower than 3%;recoveries were 97.77%-101.47%(RSD=1.30%,n=6),98.09%-100.26%(RSD=0.76%,n=6),96.42%-100.38%(RSD=1.58%,n=6),96.63%-102.50%(RSD=2.17%,n=6) and 97.10%-103.70%(RSD=2.47%,n=6),respectively;the content range of total anthraquinone was 0.042-0.218 mg/g, 0.029-0.448 mg/g, 0.022-0.167 mg/g, 0.032-0.284 mg/g and 0.006-0.060 mg/g,combined anthraquinone was 0.010-0.111 mg/g,0.013-0.092 mg/g,0.011-0.097 mg/g,0.030-0.246 mg/g and 0.001-0.034 mg/g,and free anthraquinone was 0.022 3-0.143 mg/g,0.015-0.356 mg/g,0.008-0.071 mg/g,0.006-0.075 mg/g and 0.003-0.032 mg/g. Cluster analysis showed there were 4 batches belonged to Category 1,2 batches belonged to Category 2 and 4 batches belonged to Category 3 for the total anthraquinone in 5 components;4 bathes belonged to Category 1,2 batches belonged to Category 2 and 4 batches belonged to Category 3 for the combined anthraquinone;and 6 bathes belonged to Category 1 and 4 batches belonged to Category 2 for the free anthraquinone. CONCLUSIONS:The method is simple and accurate,and can provide reference for improving the quality and diarrhea efficacy control of Yiqing granule;there were great differences in Rheum palma-tum and combined anthraquinone from different manufacturers.
3.Study of the Relationship Between Air Pollution and Respiratory Diseases in Nanning

Objective To investigate the relationship between air pollution and respiratory diseases in Nanning. Methods To analyze the prominent pollutants in the last 12 years: total suspensible particulate (TSP), drop dust, sulphur dioxide (SO2) and nitrogen oxide (NOx) by using Shanghai Air Quality Index, and study the correlation between the above data and the constituent ratio of chronic odstructive lung disease(COPD) inpatients of Guanxi Zhuangzu Autonomous Region People's Hospital as well as the mortality of respiratory diseases in Nanning in the same period. Results The air pollution in Nanning was classified into coal pollution. The dominating pollutants were TSP, drop dust, SO2 and NOx. The epidemiology research showed that the mortality of respiratory diseases in industrial zone were 1.4-2.4 times of that in the city zoon, the city zone was less higher than suburb. During the most severe air pollution period in 1991-1995, the mortality of respiratory diseases was highest, and the inpatients of COPD in the hospital was relevant higher. Conclusion Air pollution is the primary environmental pathogeny and fatal factor for respiratory diseases.
4.Effects of biomechanical characters of ankle joint in consequence of shortened fibula

[Objective]To evaluate the effect of fibula shortening on biomechanical characters of tibiotalar joint and prescribe the most acceptable extent of fibula shortening.[Method]Six fresh cadaveric specimens were disarticulated though the knee,and the soft tissues were removed from the knee to the level of the ankle joint.The position of the ankle joint during testing simulated the single leg stance phase of gait.Every group of specimen carried out a biomechanical test in the turn of intact,fibula 2mm shortening,4mm shortening,6mm shortening.The biomechanical change of the tibiotalar joint after fibular shortening was found.[Result]The total contact area of the tibiotalar joint tended to decrease in the fibular shortening model.The contact area and contact pressure in anteromedial and posteromedial quadrant tended to decrease,while,the contact area and contact pressure in anterolateral and posterolateral quadrant tended to increase.[Conclusion]The 2 mm fibular shortening(including 2 mm) significantly alter the biomechanical characters in tibiotalar joint.
5.Analyse selective non-operative management of closed splenic injuries in 98 cases

Objective To discusses the methods of the case selection and monitoring and diagnosis and treatment to selective non-operative management of closed splenic injuries .Methods The clinical data and results of 98 cases from October 1999 to Octo-ber 2011 with closed splenic injuries managed non-operative treatment were analyzed retrospectively .Results There were 90 cases (91 .8% ) conservative successfully ,5 cases(5 .1% ) transit operation because hematoma increase and bleeding continuously during therapeutic observation and 2 cases(3 .1% ) died from multiple injuries merge infection and multiple organ failure .Conclusion Most of the closed splenic injuries below level Ⅱcan be treated by non-operative management ,the effect and prognosis determined by the reasonable case selection and monitoring conditions and diagnosis and treatment .
6.Early effectiveness of P50 and P200 Ex-PRESS glaucoma drainage device implantation for open angle glaucoma:a randomized controlled study

Background Ex-PRESS glaucoma drainage device implantations have been clinically applied worldwide.In China,50 type and 200 type of Ex-PRESS glaucoma drainage devices are used for different types of open angle glaucoma.However,whether the clinical outcomes are similar between 50 type and 200 type of Ex-PRESS glaucoma drainage devices are not elucidated.Objective This study was to compare the therapeutic efficacy and security of Ex-PRESS implantation between PS0 type and P200 type of Ex-PRESS glaucoma drainage devices for open angle glaucoma Methods A randomized,parallel-group trial was designed,and written informed consent was obtained from each patient prior to entering in the cohort.Eighty eyes of 69 patients with various types of open angle glaucoma were included from March 2012 to April 2013 in Wuhan General Hospital of Guangzhou Military Command.The patients were randomized into 2 groups according to randomized digital table.The P50 type Ex-PRESS glaucoma drainage device was implanted in 40 eyes of 35 patients in the P50 group,and P200 type was implanted in 40 eyes of 34 patients in the patients of the P200 group.The disease composition,best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) recovery time,theoretical hospitalization days,lowing intraocular pressure (IOP) range and postoperative complications were compared between the two groups.Results The average lowing-IOP ranges of the P50 type group and P200 type group were (21.19±11.22) and (24.35±12.27) mmHg,respectively,with an insignificant difference between them (t =-1.201,P>0.05).The theoretical hospitalization days and BCVA recovery time in the of P50 type group were (3.65±0.92) days and (2.85±0.95)days,and those in the P200 type group were (4.90±0.81) days and (3.40± 0.96) days,showing significant decreases in the P50 type group (t =-6.444,P<0.01 ;t =-2.584,P< 0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications were 6.06% and 25.00% in P50 type group and P200 type group,respectively,with a significant difference between the two groups (.x2 =9.800,P<0.05).Conclusions Although P50 and P200 Ex-PRESS implantation provide a similar effect in lowing IOP,P50 type Ex-PRESS implantation can restore BCVA more rapidly and lessen complications in comparison with P200 type Ex-PRESS implantation in the early postoperative stage.
7.Influences of stemona alkaloids on esterase isozymes activities and glycogen content in Oncomelania hupensis

Objective To observe the influences of stemona alkaloids on esterase isozymes activities and glycogen content of Oncomelania hupensis in order to explore the molluscicidal mechanism of stemona alkaloids.Methods O.hupensis snails were immersed in the liquid of stemona alkaloids at the concentration of 6.5 mg/L(72 h LC50),the surviving ones were picked out and sampled after being immersed for 12,24,48,72,96 h,then PAGE and anthrone colorimetry methods were used to observe the changes of liver esterase isozymes activities and tissue glycogen content of O.hupensis during the immersion period.A group of snails immersed in de-chlorinous water served as control.Results Esterase isozymes activities firstly increased,and then decreased until almost lost completely during the 96 h immersion period.Meanwhile,glycogen content gradually decreased as the immersion time extended.After being immersed for 96 h,glycogen content decreased by 72.00% compared with the control group.Conclusion Stemona alkaloids could inhibit the viability of O.hupensis by causing decrease of esterase isozymes activities and glycogen content.
8.Epidemiological analysis of food poisoning deaths in Wenshan Prefecture, Yunnan Province, 2010-2019

Objective To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of food poisoning deaths in Wenshan Prefecture of Yunnan Province from 2010 to 2019, so as to provide the basis for formulating the strategies and measures for prevention and control of food poisoning deaths in Wenshan Prefecture. Methods The data of food poisoning deaths in Wenshan Prefecture from 2010 to 2019 were collected and analyzed by Excel software. Results From 2010 to 2019, 65 food poisoning deaths were reported, accounting for 7.5% of the food poisoning incidents in the same period.The fatality rate of food poisoning deaths was 36.7%, and the mortality rate of food poisoning events in the same period was 2.1%.The high incidence of food poisoning deaths occurred in summer and autumn, with the highest in June and July.Wild mushroom poisoning was the main cause of death in food poisoning, and the incidence was mainly in rural families. Conclusion Wild mushroom poisoning should be the focus of controlling food poisoning deaths in Wenshan Prefecture.It is necessary to strengthen public education, improve people′s ability to identify edible wild mushrooms, strengthen the building of capacity of medical institutions in towns and villages, and establish a long-term mechanism for food safety management.

DNA marked-assisted selection of medicinal plants accelerated the breeding and promotion of new cultivars, and guaranteed the healthy development of Chinese medicinal materials industry. The first disease-resistant cultivar of notoginseng, namely "Miaoxiang Kangqi 1", served as the object of study. We evaluated the Kangqi's resistance of seeds, seedlings and root against the pathological bacteria (Fusarum oxysporum) of root rot. Compared to the traditional cultivars, the disease index of notoginseng seeds declined by 52.0% after inoculation for seven days; the death rate of seedlings and disease index of root respectively decreased by 72.1% and 62.4% after inoculation for 25 days. Additionally, the growth inhibition ratio of notoginseng seeds and seedlings declined after inoculation. The seeds, seedlings and roots of "Miaoxiang Kangqi 1" showed significantly resistant to root rot. The evaluation of disease-resistance of Kangqi provided the basis for the popularization of new cultivar and guaranteed the favoring conduct of notoginseng pollution-free cultivation.
10.Human vascular endothelial growth factor 121 gene-modified materials repair firearm-induced radial defects

BACKGROUND:Bone defects are the leading cause of nonunion after firearm injury. Firearm injury is relatively special. Autograft and alograft al have big drawbacks, which cannot meet the requirements of basic-level hospitals. Using tissue-engineered bone with good blood vessels and osteogenic capability in repair of firearm bone defect wil be an ideal and feasible restoration method. OBJECTIVE: To explore the application of human vascular endothelial growth factor 121 gene-modified materials in the repair of firearm-induced radial injury in rabbits. METHODS: A total of 128 rabbits were randomly divided into surgical injury group and firearm injury group (n=64 per group). In the firearm injury group, 0.25 g steel bal was launched using 56-style musket to establish a firearm radial injury model; in the surgical injury group, surgical methods were used to produce a 1.2 cm radial injury model. Human vascular endothelial growth factor 121 gene-modified materials were used. The related histocytes from rabbits were harvested to obtain bone marrow stromal cels for culture. A porous scaffold material was prepared. The obtained materials were respectively implanted into radial defect sites in the surgical injury and firearm injury groups. The application of human vascular endothelial growth factor 121 gene-modified materials in rabbit radial defect repair was analyzed. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Compared with the surgical injury group, at 8, 12 and 16 weeks after repair, the gray level ratio of bone defect site and the anti-compression mechanical ratio at the healthy and repairing sides of the radius in the firearm injury group were decreased (P < 0.05), and the new bone area increased (P < 0.05). At 2 and 4 weeks after repair, the local blood flow at the repair area was significantly increased (P < 0.05). These results suggest that compared with the surgical injury group, the curative effect of human vascular endothelial growth factor 121 gene is more ideal in the firearm injury group because of the emergence of local ischemia and hypoxia in the process of radial defect repair. Human vascular endothelial growth factor 121-modified material can repair bone marrow stromal cels. The application of human vascular endothelial growth factor 121 in firearm burns can enhance the synthesis and secretion of angiogenic factors, improve the local blood flow, reduce anti-compression mechanical ratio, and increase the new bone area.
