1.Effects ofYiqi Huoxue Jiedu Recipe on Immunomodulatory of Patients with Advanced Ovarian Cancer

Objective To study the effects ofYiqi Huoxue Jiedu Recipe on immunomodulatory of patients with advanced ovarian cancer.Methods It was performed in a single-arm, open-label study with 40 patients with advanced epithelial ovarian cancer. All patients were treated withYiqi Huoxue Jiedu Recipe lasting for 4 weeks (200 mL, twice a day). The main endpoint was the quantities of CD4+CD25+ cells, CD8+CD28- regulatory T cells and CD8+CD28+ cytotoxic T cells measured by flow cytometry, and the accessory endpoints were variations of symptoms which included pain, fatigue, and numbness etc.Results The quantities of CD4+CD25+ and CD8+CD28- cells significantly decreased compared with those of pre-treatment (P<0.05); the quantity of CD8+CD28+ cell increased significantly (P<0.05). Except for pain, significant improvement showed in fatigue, tinnitus, numbness, poor appetite, abdominal discomfort, insomnia, diarrhea and abnormal urinate (P<0.05).ConclusionYiqi Huoxue JieduRecipe is proved to be effective in regulating immunosuppression advanced ovarian cancer and improving patients’ life quality.
2.Quantitative analysis of contrast-enhanced ultrasound in renal lesions: a preliminary study

Objective To investigate the value of quantitative analysis in the diagnosis of renal lesions with contrast-enhanced ultrasound.Methods Sixty cases with renal lesions confirmed by surgery and pathology underwent contrast-enhanced ultrasound preoperatively and quantitative analysis retrospectively.The Sonoliver software was applied in the analysis of CEUS imaging and in the recoustruction of quantitative parameter,s.Five parameters were calculated,including the maximum intensity (IMAX),rise time (RT),time to peak (TTP),mean transit time (mTT) and area under the curve (AUC).Results There were statistically differences in parameters RT,mTT and AUC ( P < 0.05) and significant differences in parameter IMAX ( P <0.01).In malignant tumors,the RT and mTT were less than that of the benign while IMAX and AUC were more than that of the benign.Conclusions Contrast-enhanced ultrasound using a quantitative parametric analysis offers more information and is a promising tool in the diagnosis and differentiation of renal masses.
3.The effect of Shugan-Yishen formula on HER2-ERK/MAPK-ERα Pathway of TAM-resistant breast cancer cell lines

Objective To investigate the effect of Shugan-Yishen formula on Tamoxifen-resistant MCF-7 cell line(LCC9) through HER2-ERK/MAPK-ERα pathway. Methods Four serums were prepared with the method of serum pharmacology:the serum of Shugan-Yishen formula, Shugan-Yishen formula plus Tamoxifen(TAM), blank and TAM alone. After LCC-9 cells were affected in the above-mentioed serums in vitro, the inhibition rate and the level of mRNA as well as the protein expression of HER2, ERα, ERK/MAPK, p-ERK/MAPK were detected. Results MTT showed that TAM alone group、Shugan-Yishen formula group and the Shugan-Yishen formula plus TAM group had higher inhibition rates at 48th hour, the inhibition rates was(6.61±0.129)%, (47.43±2.24)%, (54.19±3.364)%, compared to the blank group, Shugan-Yishen formula group and the Shugan-Yishen formula plus TAM group had a stronger inhibition on LCC9 at 48th hour (P<0.05), and the combination group was better than Shugan-Yishen formula alone(P<0.05), there was no difference between TAM group compared to the blank group(P>0.05). RT-PCR result showed that compared to the blank group, the expression levels of ESR1 mRNA of group of Shugan Yishen formula plus TAM werehigher by and large at 48th hour (P<0.05), the expression of ESR1 mRNA was(2.282±0.185);and the levels of ERBB2, MAPK3 mRNAwere lower(P<0.05), which levels were(0.71±0.095), (0.336±0.058). Western blotting result showed that Shugan-Yishen Formula plus TAM group could markedly decrease the expression of HER2, p-ERK/MAPK of LCC9 at 48th hour (P<0.05), which the expressions were(0.708± 0.072), (0.228±0.034), and the expression of ER-αelevated(P<0.05). There was no significant difference on ERK/MAPK(P>0.05). Conclusions ①The combination of Shugan-Yishen formula with tamoxifen can inhibit the LCC9 cells. The inhibition effect reaches the peak at 48th hour. ②The mechanism of Shugan-Yishen formula plus TAM combination effects on human breast cancer TAM-resistant cell line LCC9 may improve the sensitivity of ERαby inhibiting the expression of HER2, ERK/MAPK.

5.Diagnostic Vlaue of Diffusion Weighted Imaging with Background Body Signal Suppression in Tumors of Intestinal Tract

Objective To estimate the value of diffusion weighted imaging with background body signal suppression(DWIBS)in tumors of intestinal tract and metastasis.Methods 15 cass with tumors of intestinal tract underwent MRI and DWIBS examinations.Four of them underwent CT scan.Results All primary tumors were showed by conventional MR sequences and DWIBS.DWIBS showed that 4 cases had the invasion of placenta percreta,5 cases had transcoelomic metastasis in abdominal cavity and 5 cases had lymphatic metastasis,while the conventional MR sequences showed the invasion of placenta percreta in 10 cases,the invasion of fat interspace in 8 cases,transcoelomic metastasis in abdominal cavity in 3 cases and lymphatic metastasis in 3 cases.Conclusion DWIBS is better than the conventional MR sequences and CT in detecting the primary tumor of intestinal tract,transcoelomic metastasis in abdominal cavity and lymphatic metastasis.However,the conventional MR sequences and CT is better than DWIBS in detecting the invasion of placenta percreta and fat interspace.

In recent years, the College of Stomatology of Chongqing Medical University has created the scientific research atmosphere, established the platform of scientific research, attempted the undergraduate tutorial system, expanded the construction of teaching resource, and involved undergraduate to take part in the scientific research practice. The college has taken many active measures to train the scientific innovation ability of undergraduates, and has obtained good results. Some undergraduates have already possessed a certain ability to find and solve problems as well as independently think. They have also enhanced their awareness of reading literature and critically accepting knowledge and improved their comprehensive quality.
7.Parametric imaging for characterizing clear cell renal cell carcinoma with contrast-enhanced ultrasound

Objective To investigate the features of quantitative analysis and parametric imaging of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) in renal clear cell carcinoma (ccRCC).Methods Ninety-seven pathologically confirmed ccRCCs underwent conventional ultrasound and CEUS.Both quantitative parameters and dynamic vascular pattern (DVP) reconstructure were analyzed with Sonoliver software.Four types of DVP curves were described with type Ⅰ (Unipolar +),type Ⅱ (Bipolar + /-),type Ⅲ (Bipolar -/+) and type Ⅳ (Unipolar-),while the DVP parametric images,similarly,were divided into four types,with type Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ and Ⅳ,respectively.Results As for the parameter of CEUS,there were statistical differences in maximum intensity (IMAX),area under the curve (AUC) and mean transit time (mTT) (P <0.05) and no statistic differences in rise time (RT) and time to peak (TTP) between ccRccs and peripheral renal parenchyma.Concerning of DVP of ccRCCs,type Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ and Ⅳ accounted for 58.8% (57/97),11.3% (11/97),10.3% (10/97) and 19.6% (19/97) respectively.As for each type in DVP parametric images,the percentages were 58.8% (57/97),11.3% (11/97),8.2% (8/97),21.7% (21/97),respectively.Conclusions Quantitative analysis and parametric imaging can depict different features of vascularity in ccRCCs and improve the diagnosis of the tumors.
8.Comparison of enhancement features of hepatic tumors between dynamic three-dimensional and two-dimensional contrast-enhanced ultrasonography

Objective To investigate the enhancement features of hepatic tumors between dynamic three-dimensional contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (3D-CEUS) and two-dimensional contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (2D-CEUS).MethodsTotally,65 patients with 67 focal liver lesions were examined with 2D-CEUS and dynamic 3D-CEUS.Enhancement patterns,sharpness or three-dimensional effect in different phases,definition of blood vessel in arterial phase and spatial relationships of tumor and vascularity of different hepatic tumors on the two imaging modes were compared statistically,the value of two modes in differential diagnosis of hepatic tumors was also evaluated.ResultsDynamic 3D-CEUS was similar to 2DCEUS with respect to enhancement patterns,sharpness or three-dimensional effect of tumor in arterial and portal phases( P >0.05).And there was no significant difference between the value of dynamic 3D-CEUS and 2D-CEUS in differential diagnosis of hepatic tumors:the sensitivity,specificity,positive predictive value and negative predictive value were 98.0%,81.3 %,94.3 % and 92.9% for 3D-CEUS,and were 96.1%,81.3%,94.2% and 86.7% for 2D-CEUS,respectively.However,3D-CEUS was superior to 2D-CEUS in the display of definition of blood vessel in arterial phase,and spatial relationships of hepatic tumor and vascularity( P <0.05).ConclusionsDynamic 3D-CEUS is a useful technique in the differential diagnosis of hepatic tumors as well as 2D-CEUS,and dynamic 3D-CEUS displays the spatial relationship of hepatic tumors and vascularity more visually and effectively,which provides additional information in the diagnosis and therapy of hepatic tumors.
9.Study of influential factors in evaluating tissue stiffness by virtual touch tissue quantification

ObjectiveTo investigate the influence of different depths and mediums on tissue stiffness measurement by virtual touch tissue quantification technology.Methods Four kinds of in vitro porcine tissue were recruited,three (fat,muscle and liver) were assigned as medium group and three (kidney,liver and muscle) as sample group.The shear wave velocity (Vs) of the samples was measured under different mediums and at different depths (2 cm,3 cm,4 cm and 5 cm),respectively.ResultsAccording to the depth of measurement,two groups of Vs were defined with one group at the depth of 2 cm and 3 cm while the other at 4 cm and 5 cm.The difference of Vs between the two groups was of statistical significance and with the increase of the depth Vs values decreased.Even at the same depth,the differences of Vs under different mediums were statistically significant.ConclusionsDepths and mediums have great influence on evaluating elasticity measurements by virtual touch tissue quantification technology.
10.Clinicopathological analysis of intestinal polypoid lymphoma in children: report of 15 cases

Objective To investigate the clinicopathologic features of intestinal polypoid lymphoma (PL) in children. Methods The clinicopathologic data of 15 cases of pediatric intestinal PL in Jiangxi Provincial Children 's Hospital were retrospectively analyzed. Immuohistochemistry was used to detect the expressions of CD10, bcl-6, bcl-2, MUMl and ERCC1, then EB virus (EBV)-encoded RNA (EBER) status was tested by using in situ hybridization. Results Amongst 15 cases studied, 13 cases were Burkitt lymphoma (BL), 1 case was diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) and 1 case was between DLBCL and BL (DLBCL/BL). The positive rate of CD10, bcl-6, bcl-2, MUMl, ERCC1 and EBER were 100.0%(13/13), 92.3%(12/13), 0, 7.7 % (1/13), 15.4 % (2/13), 53.8 % (7/13), respectively in 13 BL cases. The clinical stage of 13 patients with BL: 11 cases (84.6 %) Ⅱ stage, 1 case (7.7 %) Ⅲ stage, 1 case (7.7 %) Ⅳstage. The clinical stage of DLBCL and BL/DLBCL: Ⅱstage. 14 cases of PL had survival time without tumors, 24-120 months follow-up, and 1 BL patient inⅣstage without chemotherapy died after 2 months. Conclusion BL is a major subtype of intestinal PL in children, which shows a low clinical stage and a good prognosis.
