To understand the relationship of neurotransmitter between the striatum and limbic system such as amygdaloid nucle-us and bed nucleus of the stria terminalis. 30 male Sprague Dawley rats were used. Immunohistochemical ABC method was per-formed to detect the expression of substance P (SP), calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP), leucine-enkephalin (L-enk),cholecyctokinin (CCK) and neuronal nitric oxide synthase (NOS) on seetions of the brain. Some transmitters including substanceP, calcitonin gene-related peptide and cholecyctokinin were mainly distributed at the marginal division of the striatum. Theleucine-enkephalin was mainly distributed at the globus pallidus and was secondly distributed at the marginal division of the stria-tun. The neuronal nitric oxide synthase was mainly distributed at caudate putamen and the marginal division. All these transmit-ters were not only distributed at amygdaloid nucleus and bed nucleus of the stria terminalis, but also had fibers connection amongthe amygdaloid nucleus, marginal division and bed nucleus of the stria terminalis. CONCLUSION: There were special fibersconnection between the marginal division and other basal ganglia nucleus or the limbic system. The marginal division may beplayed some important functions of basal ganglia and limbic system.

Objective To observe the hemodynamic change and stress reaction of target-con-trolled infusion (TCI)of propofol guided by Narcotrend for anesthetic induction in renal transplanta-tion patients. Methods Forty patients (25 males,1 5 females, aged 21-38 years,ASA grade Ⅲ orⅣ)undergoing related living donor kidney transplantation were randomly divided into two groups:group A and group B (n =20).Group A was induced using TCI system with propofol under the moni-toring of Narcotrend.Group B was induced with propofol manually.HR,MAP,Narcotrend index (NTI),blood glucose (Glu)and plasma cortisol (Cor)were measured before induction (T0 ),before tracheal intubation (T1 ),and 1 (T2 ),3 (T3 ),and 5 (T4 )minutes afterwards. Results HR and MAP at T1 were lower than those at T0 (P < 0.05 )in two groups, they were significantly lower in group B than in group A at corresponding points(P <0.05).HR and MAP in group B increased sig-nificantly (P <0.05)and were significantly higher than those in group A (P <0.05)at T2 and T3 . There was no obvious difference in Glu and Cor between T0 and T2-T4 in group A.Glu and Cor at T2-T4 were obviously higher than those at T0 (P <0.05)in group B and those at corresponding points in group A (P <0.05).Conclusion TCI of propofol guided by Narcotrend in renal transplantation pa-tients can better control the depth of anesthesia, attenuate the stress reaction caused by tracheal intu-bation,and keep hemodynamic smooth during anesthesia induction.

Objective To evaluate the effect of case-PBL method and case-PBL method combined with SPSS software on the teaching of medical statistics for medical undergraduates. Methods Students from two classes major in experimental medicine from Nantong University Xingling College were selected as Experimental Class 1 ( using case-PBL teaching ) and Experimental Class 2 ( using case-PBL teaching combined with SPSS software). Each class attended lessons for five times. The teachers would send cases for each lesson one week in advance, and students would form into groups to access information, learn and discuss independently. Representatives from groups spoke in class, members would complement and discuss, while teachers offered guidance, review, analysis and summary. We shortened the discussion time in the class, and added instructions on the operation steps of SPSS software for case analysis and how to interpret the analysis result correctly in Experiment Class 2 . The Control Class received traditional teaching . Questionnaires, process assessment and final assessment were used to evaluate teaching effectiveness. SPSS 21.0 software was used to implement variance analysis and chi-square test for comparison between groups. Results The scores of the two experimental classes were higher than those of the control class in the five process assessments ( P<0 . 05 ) . Experimental Class 2 was the best in three section process assessments including those of t-test, the rank sum test and the straight-line correlation (P<0.05). However, there was no difference in the theoretical test scores among the three classes (P=0.670). 94%-100%of the students in the two experimental classes believed that the teaching effects of the case-PBL method and case-PBL method combined with SPSS software were better than the traditional teaching method (P<0.05) in such areas as stimulating interest in learning, improving learning efficiency, etc. Students in Experimental Class 2 were more prone to think these methods improved teaching effect. Conclusion The case-PBL teaching combined with the application of SPSS software will further help students to systematically grasp the statistical knowledge and cultivate statistical practice ability . However , neither methods will improve students' theoretical test scores.

Laparoscopic right hemicolectomy is currently the most commonly used surgical procedure for right-sided colon cancer. Although this procedure is maturing in terms of key tech-niques such as the extent of surgical resection, the extent of lymph node dissection, and the recons-truction of digestive tract, it still lacks a standardized surgical procedure and quality control system. In the pre-preparation phase of the COLOR Ⅳ study (an international, multicenter, randomized contro-lled trail comparing the efficacy of intracorporeal anastomosis versus extracorporeal anasto-mosis in laparoscopic right hemicolectomy for right-sided colon cancer), the research team of the authors formulates a standardized procedure for laparoscopic right hemicolectomy based on the Delphi survey, and develops a competency assessment tool for surgical ability and quality. Attempts are being made to automate the evaluation of surgical techniques using artificial intelligence. It is hoped that the above work will help colorectal surgeons to standardize surgical operations and reduce complications, provide support for the homogenization of multicenter clinical studies, and promote the implementation of structured training for this procedure.
