Objective To assess the quality of international studies on using aldosterone to renin activity ratio (ARR) to diagnose primary aldesteronism. Methods We searched the Cachrane Library (1962-2007.12), PubMed(1970-2007.12) ,VIP(1989-2007.12) ,Wan Fang database(1982-2007.12) ,CBMdisc(1978 -2007.12) systematically. Language was limited to Chinese and English. The Quality Assessment of Diagnostic Accuracy Studies(QUADAS) was used to assess the quality of induced diagnostic studies by two reviewers inde-pendently. Results Fourteen studies were included and assessed. We found that most of the studies were not met with QUADAS items. Nine studies didn't chose correct cases that included miscellaneous cases and confused ca-ses. Eight studies didn't describe internalized or exclusive references clearly. The gold standard in three studies could not discriminate whether the diagnosis of patients was confirmed or not. Thirteen studies did not use blind trial to compare the diagnostic test and the gold standard. Conclusions The studies using ARR to diagnose pri-mary aldesteronism should be improved in patients selection, the gold standard selection, comparison of blind trial and bias control.

Objective:
To evaluate the safety and efficacy of oblique lateral interbody fusion (OLIF) in the surgical treatment of lumbar degenerative diseases.
Methods:
All literatures of OLIF performed in lumbar degenerative diseases were searched in recognized databases including Pubmed, OVID, Embase, Cochrane Library, Science Direct, springer, CNKI, Wanfang and VIP databases. Methodological Indexfor Non-randomized Studies (MINORS) was used to evaluate the quality of the literatures. The meta-analysis was performed using Review Manager 5.3 and Stata 15.0 statistical software.
Results:
A total of 35 literatures were included, including 22 English literatures and 13 Chinese literatures. There were 3 630 patients with 45.2% of males, aged from 14 to 89 years old (mean, 62.6 years). The average of length of stay (LOS), operation time (OT) and blood loss (BL) of OLIF procedure were 6.7 days, 117 minutes, and 128 ml, respectively. The VAS scores of low back pain of postoperative and final follow-up decreased by 4.33 and 4.70, respectively. The VAS scores of leg pain decreased by 4.57 points and 5.31, respectively. Compared with preoperative, the postoperative JOA score increased by 7.58 and the postoperative ODI were also improved by 33.89%. All the postoperative imaging data were significantly different from those before surgery. The surgical level intervertebral heightincreased 4.14 mm, and the intervertebral foramen height and intervertebral foramen area increased by 3.54 mm, 53.96 mm2, while the dura sac cross-sectional area increased by 36.61 mm2, and the overall lumbar lordosis increased by 13.78° with the local segmental lordosis increased by 4.62°. The overall incidence of complications of OLIF was 32%, with a 95% confidence interval of 25%-38%.
Conclusion
OLIF is a minimally invasive procedure for the treatment of lumbar degenerative diseases. OLIF has a simply procedure and short learning curve, with short LOS and operation time, less blood loss. OLIF can effectively open the narrow intervertebral space and increase the spinal canal and nerve root canal, significantly improve the symptoms, while the complication rate is low, so OLIF is worthy of widespread clinical application.

With the increasing maturity of laparoscopic surgery, laparoscopic radical resec-tion of colorectal cancer has been widely used in colorectal surgery. Accurate localization of colorectal tumors and surgical margins in the absence of tactile sensation during surgery, ensuring sufficient blood flow perfusion at the anastomotic site and effectively reducing the incidence of anastomotic leakage have become barriers to the development of laparoscopic radical resection of colorectal cancer. The application of indocyanine green fluorescence imaging (ICG-FI) technology is expected to provide feasible solutions to the above-mentioned problems. Through this technology, accurate localization of colorectal tumors, evaluation of blood supply to the anastomotic site, lymphatic system imaging, detection of colorectal liver metastases, and protection of pelvic autonomous nerves and ureters can be achieved during laparoscopic surgery, thereby further improving the surgical quality of laparoscopic radical resection of colorectal cancer. However, the clinical application of ICG-FI technology in colorectal surgery is relatively short, which is still in the stage of exploration and experience accumulation, and there are few guideline or consensus available for reference. Therefore, the authors aim to provide a reference for the clinical application of this technology by reviewing and summarizing relevant literature based on different application types of ICG in colo-rectal cancer surgery.

The clinical data, laboratory test, and gene mutations were collected from a family with pseudohypoaldosteronism type II(PHA2). The proband, aged 1 year and 7 months, presented with hyperkalemia(6.69 mmol/L; reference range 3.5-5.3 mmol/L), blood pressure of 110/68 mmHg(normal<106/61 mmHg, 1 mmHg=0.133 kPa), blood chloride of 111.5 mmol/L(reference 99-110 mmol/L), blood HCO 3- of 17.1 mmol/L(reference 22-29 mmol/L), estimated glomerular filtration rate of 128.5 mL·min -1·(1.73 m 2) -1[>90 mL·min -1·(1.73 m 2) -1], and blood renin concentration of 0.30 μIU/mL(reference 4.2-45.6 μIU/mL). The mother and maternal grandfather also exhibited normal renal function with hyperkalemia, hypertension, hyperchloremia, metabolic acidosis, and low renin. Genetic testing revealed a heterozygous missense mutation(c.1685A>G, p. E562G) in exon 7 of the no-lysine kinase 4(WNK4) gene. Treatment with hydrochlorothiazide was effective. Literature review comparing this E562G pedigree with other WNK4 variants suggested clinical heterogeneity of WNK4 mutations. For unexplained hyperkalemia, especially with concurrent hypertension, PHA2 should be considered early for genetic screening to prevent misdiagnosis or delayed diagnosis.

Objective:To evaluate the association between dietary pattern and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) in local residents aged 40 years and above in Songjiang district of Shanghai. Methods:Data was obtained from the baseline investigation of Shanghai Peak-Plan cohort. According to inclusion and exclusion criteria, we selected people with T2DM as the case group, and people without T2DM as controls, matched with gender, age and alcohol intake status. Dietary patterns were established by factor analysis. Conditional logistic regression model (CLRM) was used to explore the relationship between different dietary patterns and T2DM, as well as the association between multiplicative interactions of dietary patterns and T2DM.Results:We used factor analysis to obtain six dietary patterns: including meat, desserts-coarse cereals, condiment-egg, beverage, cereals-tubers and fruit-vegetable. Data from multivariate condition logistic regression suggested that condiment-egg patterns as ( OR=0.543, 95 %CI: 0.377-0.781), beverage ( OR=0.590, 95 %CI: 0.409-0.852), cereals-tubers ( OR=0.592, 95 %CI: 0.414-0.848), fruit-vegetable ( OR=0.604, 95 %CI: 0.417-0.876) were associated with the reduced risks for T2DM. After analyzing the multiplicative interactions between dietary patterns, there were three interaction items associated with T2DM with statistical significances: the multiplicative interaction between meat pattern and condiments-egg pattern was related with the increased risk for T2MD, and the multiplicative interactions between cereal-tubers pattern, meat pattern between cereal-tubers pattern and fruit-vegetable pattern were related with the reduced risks for T2MD. Conclusions:In the six dietary pattern under study, cereals-tubers pattern undwr studly, fruit-vegetable pattern might be more practical in preventing T2DM. In addition, the dietary pattern with cereals and potatos as the main ingredients, appropriate meat and reduced condiment intake might also play positive roles in reducing the risk for T2DM.
