Objective To clarify the factors influencing development of cholecystopathy in schis-tosomiasis portal hypertension. Methods The data of 116 schistosomiasis portal hypertension patients from 1998 to 2002 were retrospectively analyzed and compared with non-liver disease pa-lients. Results Of the incidence of cholecystitis, the schistosomiasis portal hypertension patients vs non-liver-disease were 87.9% (102/116) vs 36.6% (15/41) (P0. 05). Of the incidence of cholecystolithiasis, the schistosomiasis portal hypertension patients vs non-liver-disease were 38.8% (45/ 116) vs 19.5% (8/0.41) (P0. 05). Conclusion The incidences of cholecystolithiasis and cholecystitis are closely correlated with portal hypertension in schistosomiasis, and are not closely correlated with hypersplenism.

ObjectiveTo study the effect of SSY-B2 on regeneration of central nervous system of rats with bilateral fornix/fimbria transaction.MethodsMale adult SD rats were divided randomly into 6 groups as sham group, model group, positive control agent piracetam group, SSY-B2 low dosage(1.5g crude drug/kg) group, medium dosage(3g crude drug/kg) group and high dosage(6g crude drug/kg) group. The bilateral fornix/fimbria transection in the rats were carried out. After operation, drugs were fed introgastrically to each group respectively for 6 weeks. The immunoreactive products of growth-associated protein-43(GAP-43 )and chondroitin sulfate proteoglycans(CSPG) in defined areas were measured using immunohistochemical methods. ResultsThere was no difference in number of cells expressing GAP-43 between the model group and sham group (P>0.05),but that in low dosage group increased compared with the model group (P<0.001). The CSPG in parietal lobes after lesion expressed, which was in sham group and model group(sham group and model group respectively, 56.43±59.6,116.36±10.561), and SSY-B2 in low and medium dosage inhibited its expression compared with the model group (P<0.05,P<0.01). Conclusions SSY-B2 can enhance the expression of GAP-43 and inhibit the expression or deposition of CSPG, promote axonal regeneration in the CNS, and thus structural repair and functional restoration in certain degree.

ObjectiveTo evaluate the possible effect of SSY-B2 on reducing the loss of neurons and enhancing the expression of nerve growth factor(NGF).MethodsMale adult SD rats were divided randomly into 6 groups as sham group, model group, positive control agent piracetam group, SSY-B2 low(1.5g crude drug/kg), medium(3g crude drug/kg)and high dosage (6g crude drug/kg)group.Bilateral fornix/fimbria transection was carried out in the rats' septohippocampal pathway and 6 weeks' drug treatment was administered with different doses of SSY-B2 and positive control agent piracetam. After behavioral tests, the numbers of neurons in medial septum and immunoreactive products of NGF in different areas were measured, using Nissle staining and immunohistochemical methods.ResultsThere was neural loss in medial septum after fornix /fimbria transection, but SSY-B2 at each dosage markedly reduced the loss(59.13±22.02,50.60±23.18,63.93±18.35,the number of neurons for three SSY-B2 dosage groups,P<0.005 for all compared with the model group 20.33±14.01).The number of NGF positive cells decreased in model group, but did not show significant statistic difference compared with the sham group (P>0.05) in the medial septum, polymorph layer of dentate gyrus and entorhinal cortex/Subiculum area. In the medial septum, all three dosage enhanced the expression of NGF positive cells(145.1±57.7,161.3±08.2,200.6±58.2,the number of neurons for three SSY-B2 dosage group,P<0.005 for all compared with the model group 50.2±48.6). SSY-B2 at low and medium dosage group also increased the number in both entorhinal cortex/Subiculum and polymorph layer of dentate gyrus. Conclusions SSY-B2 can reduce the loss of neurons in the medial septum, which may be involve in increasing expression of NGF;NGF expression in dentate gyrus, subiculum of hippocampal formation and entorhinal cortex increased by SSY-B2 may play a role in the compensation of these area for learning/memory.

Objective To evaluate the correlation between the degree of cochlea endolymphatic hydrops(EH) and hearing loss and symptoms in patients with unilateral Meniere's disease. Methods Fifty seven patients with unilateral Meniere's patients were retrospectively quantitatively analyzed, which evaluated the correlation between the cochlea EH and hearing loss and symptoms. The affected ears in the experimental group(57 ears) and the asymptomatic ears in the control group(57 ears), were confirmed by bilateral intratympanic Gd-DTPA injection and 3D real IR MRI scan after 24 h. The maximum length of endolymph space and labyrinth chamber along the modiolus cochleae and their ratio which represented the endolymph space proportion of each turn(R1, the basal turn;R2, the middle turn;R3, the apical turn) were calculated. And the paired t test was used to compare the differences in EH degree between the experimental and control group;Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation between the cochlea EH degree and hearing loss and duration of symptoms. Results R1, R1 and R3 of ipsilateral cochlea were higher than normal cochlea(ipsilateral R1:0.354±0.097 vs. normal R1:0.185±0.031, P<0.01;ipsilateral R2:0.445 ± 0.098 vs. normal R2:0.201 ± 0.046, P<0.01;ipsilateral R3:0.467 ± 0.102 vs. normal R3:0.221 ± 0.053, P<0.01). A positive correlation was found between the degree of EH in each turn and high-frequency hearing loss(r=0.275, 0.281, 0.329, respectively;all P<0.05), whereas no correlation was found between the extent of EH and the time of vertigo, tinnitus and hearing loss(P>0.05). In addition, there was a correlation between the degree of EH in the apical turn and low, medium, high-frequency hearing loss(r=0.271, 0.269, 0.329, respectively; all P<0.05). Conclusions The degree of cochlea EH in the basal and second turn showed great relevance with the high-frequency hearing loss, and the apical turn EH degree was relevant with the low, medium, high-frequency hearing loss, but there was no correlation between the EH degree of each turn, ages and symptoms.

Objective:To investigate the efficacy of CT virtual colonoscopy with carbon dioxide (CO 2) versus room air and the effects of bowel cleanliness on polyp detection rate. Methods:A total of 186 patients who underwent CT virtual colonoscopy in the Affiliated Hospital of Hangzhou Normal University (Hangzhou Second People's Hospital), China between October 2015 and November 2020 were included in this study. They were randomly divided into CO 2 and control groups ( n = 93/group). In the CO 2 and control groups, CO 2 and room air were respectively injected through the anus to fill the intestinal cavity. The Boston Bowel Preparation Scale (BBPS) score, abdominal distension score, Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) score, Bruggrmann comfort scale (BCS) score and polyp detection rate were compared between the two groups. Results:According to BBPS score, there were 62 and 60 patients with good bowel cleanliness (BBPS score ≥ 7 points), and 31 and 33 patients with poor bowel cleanliness (BBPS score < 7 points) in the CO 2 and control groups, respectively. There were no significant differences in abdominal distension score, VAS score and BCS score measured during the examination between the two groups (all P > 0.05). At 30 minutes after examination, abdominal distension score and VAS score in the CO 2 group were (2.21 ± 0.40) points and (1.43 ± 0.34) points, respectively, which were significantly lower than those in the control group [(3.50 ± 0.49) points, (3.03 ± 0.55) points, t = 2.59, 2.38, both P < 0.05)]. At 60 minutes after examination, abdominal distension score, VAS score and BCS score in the CO 2 group were (1.15 ± 0.39) points, (1.22 ± 0.28) points, (1.27 ± 0.35) points, which were significantly lower than those in the control group [(2.16 ± 0.43) points, (1.91 ± 0.32) points, (1.85 ± 0.37) points, t = 2.45, 2.27, 2.40, all P < 0.05). The detection rate of small (< 6 mm) - and large (≥ 6 mm) -sized polyps in the CO 2 group was 32.7% (34/104) and 88.1% (37/42), respectively and they were 29.0% (29/100) and 85.1% (40/47) respectively in the control group. There were no significant differences in the detection rate of small- and large-sized polyps between CO 2 and control groups (both P > 0.05). The detection rate of large-sized polyps in patients with good bowel cleanliness in the CO 2 group was 92.3% (24/26) and 89.7% (26/29), respectively, which were significantly higher than those in patients with poor bowel cleanliness in the control group [81.3% (13/16), 77.8% (14/18), χ2 = 6.03, 6.44, both P < 0.05]. The detection rate of small-sized polyps in patients with poor bowel cleanliness in the CO 2 group was 41.9% (26/62) and 42.9% (21/49), respectively, which were significantly higher than those in patients with poor bowel cleanliness in the control group [19.0% (8/42), 15.7% (8/51), χ2 = 15.32, 13.78, both P < 0.01]. Conclusion:CT virtual colonoscopy with CO 2 injection is less uncomfortable than CT virtual colonoscopy with room air and it does not affect polyp detection rate. Bowel cleanliness has a remarkable effect on polyp detection rate in virtual colonoscopy.

Objective:To investigate and analyze the allocation status of oral health resources in Yunnan Province at the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan, providing a scientific basis for the rational resource allocation and formulation regional oral health plan for government health administrative departments. Methods:With the method of general survey, a cross-sectional study was conducted to investigate the allocation of material and human resources of all kinds of stomatological medical institutions registered in the health administrative departments in Yunnan before January 1, 2020. The general situation of oral health resources was analyzed by descriptive statistical analysis. Results:There were 2 712 stomatological medical institutions in Yunnan, 634 public and 2 078 non-public included. The largest number was in Kunming (1 167) and the least in Diqing (19). There were 9 018 dental chairs in total, among which 2 584 in public and 6 434 in non-public. Kunming had the largest number of chairs (3 612) and Nujiang had the least (57). There were 702 oral and maxillofacial surgical beds, all of which were distributed in public. There were 15 148 stomatological personnel, including 3 667 in public and 11 481 in non-public. The average ratio of stomatologist to population was 1∶6 615. Dehong (1∶6 620) was close to this average level, while Kunming (1∶2 283) and Yuxi (1∶4 936) were lower than the average and the other 13 states (cities) were higher. The population ratio of licensed stomatologist was only 1∶9 110. The average ratio of stomatologist to nurses was 1∶0.94. Honghe (1∶1.05), Kunming (1∶1.00), Yuxi (1∶1.18) and Qujing (1∶0.94) was better than or reached the average level, while the other 13 states (cities) were lower than this average. And this ratio in public comprehensive medical institutions was only 1∶0.38.Conclusions:The distribution of oral health resources in Yunnan was unbalanced between public and non-public institutions and among states (cities), mainly distributed in economically developed states (cities) and non-public institutions. For the oral health in Yunnan Province, the workforce was insufficient and the structure was unreasonable, and the proportion of nurses was seriously insufficient in public comprehensive medical institutions.
