Objective To evaluate the potential effect of HLF (Hawthorn leave flavonoids, w/w, 80% flavonoids) against thrombus formation, effect of HLF on hypoxia-treated human umbilical vein endothelial cell (HUVECs) was studied. Method The levels of cytotoxicity and NO upon HUVECs were studied by flow cytometry. Moreover, the level of calcium ion in HUVECs was examined through laser scanning confocal microscopy. Result Data from this study showed that HLF at concentrations of 5 μg/ml and 10 μg/ml decreased the cytotoxicity of hypoxia to HUVECs (P<0.05, P<0.01). The intracellular levels of NO and calcium ion were downregulated by HLF at concentrations of 5 μg/ml (P<0.01; P<0.01) and 10 μg/ml (vs control, P<0.01; P<0.01) too. Conclusion Results observed suggest that HLF protect HUVECs from hypoxia partly through its regulative effect on NO and calcium ion levels.

Objective:To investigate whether knee osteoarthritis has an impact on the patient′s depression and whether it′s progression will affect the patient′s depression, and to provide a reference for clinical work. Methods:Patients diagnosed with osteoarthritis in Dalian Central Hospital from 2016 to 2019 were divided into 4 groups according to Kellgren-Lawrence staging, and the patients were scored on WOMAC scale, AKSS clinical scale, and AKSS. The score of the scale and the score of the HAMD scale were collected and statistically analyzed using SPSS 17.0.Results:χ2 test was used to show that there was no difference in the gender composition of patients in different stages ( P<0.05). The AKSS clinical scale score, AKSS functional scale score, WOMAC scale score and HAMD scale score were statistically analyzed for each stage. The results showed that the average AKSS clinical scores of patients in each stage were as follows: stage Ⅰ: (90.01 ± 8.41) points; stage Ⅱ: (79.98 ± 10.93) points; stage Ⅲ: (71.78 ± 13.64) points; stage Ⅳ: (54.18 ± 12.58) points. The AKSS functional scores were as follows, stage Ⅰ: 100 points; stage Ⅱ: 80 points; stage Ⅲ: 70 points; stage Ⅳ: 45 points; the average WOMAC scale scores of patients in each stage were as follows, stage Ⅰ: (28.69 ± 19.22) points ; stage Ⅱ: (49.43 ± 22.69) points; stage Ⅲ (70.13 ± 24.84) points; stage Ⅳ: (107.79 ± 24.39) points. The average HAMD scale scores of patients in each stage were as follows, stage Ⅰ: (4.89 ± 3.42) points; stage Ⅱ: (7.65 ± 4.20) points; Stage Ⅲ: (9.05 ± 5.03) points; stage Ⅳ: (12.35 ± 5.41) points. The analysis showed that there were significant statistical differences in the scale scores between each period ( P<0.05). There was a correlation between the patient′s depression status and the patient′s age, pain, and joint function, and there were statistical differences ( P<0.05). Conclusions:There is a significant correlation between depression and pain and function in patients with knee osteoarthritis. The progress of the osteoarthritis course will aggravate the patient′s depression state. Conversely, the patient′s depression state can also aggravate the symptoms of osteoarthritis patients and affect the clinical efficacy of the patients.

Objective:To compare the efficacy and safety of azacitidine alone or combined with half-course CAG (arorubicin + cytarabine + granulocyte colony stimulating factor) regimen and azacitidine combined with full-course CAG regimen in treatment of patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) or myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS).Methods:The clinical data of 51 patients with AML and MDS admitted to Datong Fifth People's Hospital from September 2019 to March 2022 were retrospectively analyzed. Among them, 17 patients received azacitidine alone 7-day regimen, 17 patients received azacitidine combined with half-course CAG regimen and 17 patients received azacitidine combined with full-course CAG regimen. The remission rate, adverse reaction rate and supportive treatment were compared among the three groups. Results:The objective remission rate (ORR) was 58.8% (10/17), 64.7% (11/17) and 70.6% (12/17) in azacitidine alone group, azacitidine combined with half course CAG group, and azacitidine combined with full course CAG group, respectively, and the difference was not statistically significant among the above groups ( P = 0.773). The main adverse reaction after treatment with azacitidine was bone marrow suppression, and 32 patients had grade 3-4 hematological side effects. The average time of agranulocytopenia was (15±5) d, 23 patients had infection and 11 cases had hemorrhage. There were no significant differences of the three groups in the hemorrhage incidence, the infection, incidence, agranulocytosis time, the amount of red blood cell infusion and the amount of platelet infusion (all P > 0.05). Except 1 patient died of acute left ventricular dysfunction after chemotherapy in the first cycle and 1 patient died of cerebral hemorrhage after chemotherapy in the third cycle, all the patients successfully completed the chemotherapy after active symptomatic support treatment and safely passed the bone marrow suppression period. Conclusions:Azacitidine alone, azacitidine combined with half-course CAG, azacitidine combined with full-course CAG regimens in the treatment of AML/MDS all show good curative effects, and their adverse reactions are similar to supportive treatment. Azacitidine combined with full-course CAG regimen has a relatively high effective rate.

OBJECTIVE:
We investigated the influence of obstructive sleep apnea -hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS) on hypertension and metabolism.
METHOD:
There were two groups in this research; they were the research group including 115 patients who were diagnosed with polysomnography and the control group of 122 healthy persons. The blood pressure in the morning, plasmas glucose (GLU), total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), and uric acid (UA) were measured. There were 32 moderate or severe OSAHS patients and 20 healthy persons were selected to be measured the mitochondrial coupling factor 6 (CF6) with radio-immunity method. The results were analyzed with statistic method. The P < 0.05 means the significant difference.
RESULT:
The patients' blood pressure in the morning was significantly higher than the control healthy persons. The plasmas glucose, total cholesterol, triglyceride, and uric acid of the OSAHS patients were all in a higher level than those of the control group healthy persons. There were significant differences between the two groups. The mitochondrial coupling factor 6 (CF6) of moderate OSAHS patients or severe OSAHS patients was more than that of the healthy persons (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSION
OSAHS is a potential risk factor on the cardiovascular diseases and the metabolism disorders. The mitochondrial coupling factor 6 (CF6) may play an important role in the procedure of X syndrome.
