This paper introduces the structure, components, function and technical design of the multi -physiological information system, which can not only collect but also register and check parameters. The parameters acquired by the system include electrocardiogram, blood pressure, oxygen saturation and pulse.

Objective to investigate the efficacy of functional electrical stimulation(FES)on the postoperative treatment of lumbar disc hernia-tion. Methods Informed consents were obtained from all the subjects before the study. totally 60 patients who had remnant nervous lesion after sur-gery of lumbar disc herniation were divided into two groups:FES group and Control group. FES group received treatment since the first day after sur-gery. the parameters of therapeutic apparatus were as follows:35 Hz,0.28 ms,1 time daily and 30 min each time. the intensity of the treatment was the maximum tolerated that the patients can take. the course was 4 weeks. the control group during the study did not receive any stimulation. the myodynamia of hallux dorsiflexion and JOA score of patients were recorded and analyzed. Results After 2 weeks treatment,the myodynamia of FES group was 15.10±5.03,which was significantly larger than that of the control group at 12.03±6.30(P < 0.05). After 4 weeks treatment,the myody-namia of FES group was 20.43±5.73,which was significantly larger than that of the control group at 14.57±7.17(P < 0.05). After 4 weeks of treat-ment,the JOA score of FES group was 24.63±1.91,which was significantly higher than that of the control group at 19.87±2.33(P < 0.05). Conclu-sion After 2-4 weeks of functional electrical stimulation therapy,myodynamia of hallux dorsiflexion in FES group was significantly improved. And at the 4th week after operation,JOA score was more higher than that of the control group. Functional electrical stimulation in the treatment of remnant nervous lesion after postoperative of lumbar disc herniation has exact curative effect,which is worthy of popularization.

Objective To explore the expression and clinical significance of Twist. E-cadherin and N-cadherin in gallbladder carcinoma. Methods From 2000 to 2008, in Zhejiang Provincial People's Hospital, the expression of Twist, E-cadherin and N-cadherin protein were detected in 79 surgically removed gallbladder carcinoma tissue specimens in paraffin blocks and 20 normal gallbladder tissue specimens by tissue microarray technique and immunohistochemistry. Results Compared with normal gallbladder tissues, the expression of Twist and N-cadherin was up-regulated in gallbladder carcinoma tissues and the positive percentage was 68.3％ and 49.4％ respectively, while which both were 1/20 in normal gallbladder tissues. The percentage of high E-cadherin expression in gallbladder carcinoma tissues was only 27.8 ％, which was significantly lower than that in normal gallbladder tissues (20/20;X2 ＝29.31, P＜0. 05). The expression of Twist was correlated with T classification, lymph node metastasis, distant organ metastasis, hepatoduodenal ligament invasion, lymphatic invasion and UICC stage of gallbladder carcinoma (P＜0.05). The expression of E-cadherin was correlated with T classification, distant organ metastasis, hepatoduodenal ligament invasion, differentiation degree and UICC stage of gallbladder carcinoma (P＜0.05). The expression of N-cadherin was only correlated with lymphatic invasion of gallbladder carcinoma (P ＜0.05 ). There was significant negative correlation between Twist and E-cadherin expression (P＜0. 01). All the 79 gallbladder carcinoma patients were followed up after the surgery, the mean follow-up time was 30.6±14.3months. The 3-year survival rates of patients with low or high Twist expressions were 66％ and 7％ respectively,there was significant difference between the two groups(P＜0. 01). The 3-year survival rates of patients with low or high E-cadherin expressions were 25 ％ and 86 ％ respectively, the difference of two groups was significant(P＜0.01). The 3-year survival rates of patients with low or high Ncadherin expressions were 39％ and 41％ respectively, there was no significant difference between the two groups(P＞0.05). The multivariate analysis indicated that the Twist expression was one of independent prognostic factors of gallbladder carcinoma. Conclusion The abnormal expression of Twist and E-cadherin was correlated with the development and progression of gallbladder carcinoma,and Twist expression was one of the independent prognostic factors of gallbladder carcinoma.

Objective To investigate the imaging features of intra-osseous ganglia surrounding the ankle joints and their diagnostic value.Methods Imaging features of 40 cases of intra-osseous ganglia proved by the pathology from 1 982 to 2012 were analyzed ret-rospectively.33 cases underwent radiography,26 cases underwent computed tomography (CT)and 13 cases underwent magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).Results Intra-osseous ganglia were detected at talus in 23 cases,distal tibia in 1 5 cases (8 cases in pos-terior melleolus,6 cases in medial melloulus and 1 case in anterior part of distal tibia),and lateral malleolus in 1 case.Multiple in-tra-osseous ganglia was detected in 1 case,which located in both talus and posterior malleolus.29 cases were oval,monolocular os-teolytic lesions.1 1 cases were multilocular lesions with separation.All cases were observed with slightly sclerous edge.Articular surface disruptions were observed in 1 5 cases,and lesions were connected with the joint space.① Oval cystic translucent areas with sharp and sclerous edge adjacent to the ankle joint were observed in 34 lesions of 33 cases on radiograph.Cracks were noted on the articular surface of 12 lesions.② Round translucent areas with sharp and sclerous edge were observed in 26 isolated lesions on CT images.Cracks were noted on the articular surface of 14 lesions.③ 14 lesions of 13 cases showed low to moderate signal on T1 WI and high signal on T2 WI.Cracks were observed in 4 lesions adjacent to the ankle joint,and soft tissue swelling was noted in 6 le-sions.Conclusion Intra-osseous ganglia can be diagnosed accurately based on the typical imaging features and special locations.

Objective To explore the association of lipid metabolism and bomocysteine with hypertensive disorders in pregnancy and observe the inflammatory reaction and the pathological change of placenta.Methods We conducted a prospective randomized placebo-controlled study.Seventy-four cases with hypertensive disorders in pregnancy were recruited as the experimental group and 77 cases of normal pregnant women were recruited as matched control group from Aug.2008 to Mar.2010.The relationship between lipid metabolism and homocysteine was analyzed.Results There was significant difference between the two groups in body-mass index before pregnancy(29.03±4.52 vs.23.99±5.90,t =5.88),cholesterol[(6.16±1.48)mmol/L vs.(5.01±1.05) mmmol/L,t =5.52],low density lipoprotein[(3.46±1.35) mmol/L vs.(2.26±0.86) mmol/L,t =6.54]and C-reactive protein[(29.04±14.90) mmol/L vs.(15.48±4.57) mmol/L,t =7.62](P ＜ 0.05).No significant difference was found on triglycerides[(3.29±1.03) mmol/L vs.(3.49±1.37) mmol/L],high density lipoprotein[(1.84±0.40) mmol/L vs.(1.88±0.35) mmol/L],homocysteine [(8.77±2.65) mmol/L vs.(8.40±2.03) mmol/L]and neonatal weight[(3547±519)g vs.(3431±461)g](P ＞ 0.05).Significant difference exists in placenta pathology of infarction(54.55％ vs.31.04％),villi dysplasia,fit nodules form and hypoxia(65.46％ vs.39.66％)(P ＜0.05).Conclusion We should detect lipid,homocysteine and C-reactive protein by dynamic combinational ways,pay more attention to women with high BMI before pregnancy,and value placenta pathology research on hypertensive disorders in pregnant women.This has high clinical significance in revealing the etiology of hypertensive disorders in pregnant women and improving pregnant outcomes.

Objective: To investigate the relationship of loss of P16 expression with biologlical behaviors and prognosis of gastrointestinal stromal tumors(GISTs). Methods: The expression of P16 protein and mRNA was detected in GISTs tissues by immunohistochemistry,Western blot and RT-PCR.The prognosis was evaluated through follow up. Results: The expression rates of P16 protein and mRNA in GISTs were 53.8%(21/39，Frozen tissue)，51.3%(20/39，Frozen tissues)and 51.4%(37/72，Paraffin-embedded tissues)，respectively.The expression of P16 was significantly different among GISTs of different aggressive risk(P<0.05).With the incease of aggressive risk，the expression of P16 was deceased.The expression of P16 was negtively correlated with Ki-67 and patient survival(P<0.05). Conclusion: The loss of P16 expression has a positive correlation with the infiltration and progression of GIST.Detection of P16 protein and mRNA is helpful for the evalutaion of biological behaviors and prognosis of gastrointestinal stromal tumors.

Background Liver X receptors (LXRs) are members of the nuclear hormone receptor superfamily which involve in energy metabolism of intracellular cholesterol and glucose regulation.Objective To investigate the effect of Liver X receptors (LXRs) agonists on the hypertrophy induced by angiotensin Ⅱ(Ang Ⅱ) in the murine HL-1 cardiomyocytes in vitro.Methods Hypertrophy in murine HL-1 cardiomyocytes was induced by Ang Ⅱ and treated with LXRs agonist T0901317 (1 ?mol/L).Immunofluorescent staining was carried out to identify the HL-1 cells.The surface area of HL-1 cells was analyzed by using NIH Image J software.The synthetic rate of protein in HL-1 cells was detected by {}3H leucine incorporation.The mRNA level of atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) was measured by quantitative realtime PCR.Results HL-1 cells hypertrophy induced by Ang Ⅱ were manifested by the increases in surface area,mRNA expression of ANP,and {}3H leucine incorporation(control group vs Ang Ⅱ group:cell surface:1.00?0.16 vs 2.00?0.21,ANP mRNA:1.00?0.02 vs 1.58?0.27,{}3H leucine incorporation:1.00?0.03 vs 1.44?0.07,respectively,all P

Objective To investigate the expressions of E-cadherin (E-cad)in arterial chemoembolization interventional therapied bladder carcinoma.Methods The expressions of E-cad in bladder tumor tissues of30 non-muscle-invasive bladder carcinoma treated with preoperative interventional chemotherapy and 20 invasive bladder carcinoma treated with surgical were measured by streptavi-din-peroxidase immunohisto chemical method.The changes of E-cad expression in bladder carcinoma before and after interventional treatment were analyzed.Results The averaged normal expressions rate of E-cad in non-muscle-invasive and muscle invasive bladder carcinoma was 70.0% (21/30),25.0% (5/20)respectively.The averaged normal expressions rate of E-cad after interventional treatment was improved to 90% (27/30),the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05 ).Conclusion The expressions of E-cad in bladder carcinoma had significant relations with pathological grade and clinical stage.The abnormal expressions of E-cad in the mucosal surface, may be associated with inflammation.Interventional treatment can significantly improve the expressions of E-cad of tumor tissue and delay the progress of bladder cancer.

Background As assessment of the peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) has been an important approach for detecting structural damage in patients with glaucoma and myopia is a vital risk factor of primary open glaucoma,it is urgent to establish the correlation between RNFL thickness and myopia,not only for understanding the characteristics of RNFL with the change of the degree of myopia,but also for identifying those myopic patients with the early stage of glaucoma.Objective This study was to assess the influence of myopia for the thickness of RNFL measured by 3D optical coherence tomography (3D-OCT).Methods Two hundred and fifty-eight eyes of 258 myopic subjects from General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University were recruited.The myopic eyes were divided into low myopia group (42 eyes,-0.5 D ≤ SE ≤-3.0 D),middle myopia group (120 eyes,-3.0 D＜SE≤-6.0 D),high myopia group (58 eyes,-6.0 D＜SE≤-8.0 D) and extreme high myopia group (38 eyes,SE ＞-8.0 D).The peripapillary RNFL thickness profile including temporal,superior,nasal and inferior quadrants and each of the 12 clocks was measured by 3D-OCT.The measured values were compared among different degrees of myopia,and the correlations between spherical equivalent (SE) and axial length with RNFL thickness were analyzed using linear regression equation.Results The RNFL thickness was gradually declined with the increase of SE and elongation of axis,showing significant differences among the 4 groups in the superior,nasal and inferior quadrants and mean RNFL thickness (F=10.48,15.60,3.31,8.98,all at P＜0.05),but temporal RNFL thickness was increased with the SE rise,with markedly difference among the 4 groups (F =2.92,P =0.03) ; and RNFL thicknesses in the superior,nasal,inferior quadrants and mean RNFL thickness were evidently declined in the high and extreme high myopia group in comparison with low myopia group (all at P＜0.05).The overall RNFL parameters at 1:00,2:00,3:00,4:00,5:00,6:00,8:00,12:00 o'clock sectors were thinning as the increase of SE (all at P＜0.05) and unchanged at the 7:00,9:00,10:00,11:00 sectors in different SE groups (all at P＞ 0.05).Negative correlations were found between axial length or SE with the RNFL thicknesses at superior,nasal and inferior quadrants,average thickness as well as 1:00,2:00,3:00,4:00,5:00,6:00,11:00,12:00 o 'clock,and positive correlation was seen between the axial length or SE with the RNFL thicknesses at temporal quadrant.Conclusions The thickness of RNFL varys with the different degree of myopia and axial length.
