1.Experimental study on the treatment of ulcerative colitis with the combination of Tongxiening granule and Mesalazine

Objective To observe the clinical effect of combination of Tongxiening granule and Mesalazine on treating mild and moderate ulcerative colitis(UC) .Methods Totally 380 patients with mild‐to‐moderate UC diagnosed through endoscopy were allocated to the control group (n=190) and observation group(n=190) .For the observation group ,patients were remedied with the combination of Tongxiening Granules and the Mesalazine by oral administration for eight weeks ,meanwhile the control group only received the Mesalazine for eight weeks .The total effective rate of the two groups were statistically analyzed ,and the levels of ser‐um MMP‐2 and MMP‐9 before and after treatment in the two groups were measured .The expression of S100A12 and RAGE were detected by immunohistochemistry SP method .Results The total effective rate of the observation group and the control group was 94 .74% and 89 .47% respectively ,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0 .01) .After treatment ,the expression levels of MMP‐2 and MMP‐9 in the two groups were decreased ,additionally the expression levels in the observation group was lower than those in the control group ,and the difference was statistically significant (P< 0 .01) .After treatment ,the expression levels of RAGE and S100A12 in the observation group were decreased ,and there was a significant difference when compared with the control group(P<0 .01) .Conclusion Combined application of Tongxiening Granules and Mesalazine in treating patients with mild‐to‐mod‐erate UC could better improve clinical symptoms and bring better therapeutic effect than single use of Mesalazine .
2.Correlation of MRI enhancement features and histopathology after partial resection of nomal brain:an experimental study in rats

Objective To study the contrast enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)features of surgical margin and its path-ologic basis of the experimental rat model by resecting partial brain tissue.Methods Forty-two rats were randomly divided into six experimental groups (postoperative 1d,3d,7d,14d,21d,28d groups)and one contrast group.A partial resection of the parietooc-cipital region was performed.MRI procedures consisted of T1 WI and T2 WI and contrast enhanced T1 WI,pre-and postcontrast scan-ning were enforced in different postoperative days.Brain tissue samples were obtained after MRI examination.Pathological study was made and the results were compared with MRI findings.Results (1 )The earliest enhancement was observed around surgical margin on the first day after surgery,which enhancement was lasted until 28 days;(2)The enhancement of the surgical margin was significantly increased after 7d,the signal intensity ratio in this period reached the peak,but this ratio between 7d and 14d had no ob-vious disparation.The degree of enhancement gradually weakened in the next few days;(3)The number of neovessels reached the peak at 7d,which was higher than that at other experimental groups and contrast group (P <0.05);The amount of neovessels in 14d,21d and 28d had no obvious disparation (P >0.05).Conclusion The contrast enhanced MRI features of the surgical margins after resected partial brain tissue is related to the time of the postoperation,and the neovascularization plays an importent role in this process.

With the global pandemic of COVID-19, cytokine storms in critical patients with pneumonia is really a problem and need to be solved immediately.Low dose radiation therapy (LDRT) has been temporarily used to treat pneumonia.In the past decades, researchers were dedicated to clarify the biological mechanism of LDRT.LDRT plays a unique role in the suppression of inflammation, preliminary outcomes have been acquired in critical patients with COVID-19 pneumonia, and radiotherapy community is paying attention to this treatment strategy.This review summarizes the application of LDRT in pneumonia, its biological mechanism, the result of LDRT in COVID-19 pneumonia, the existing problems and prospective in clinic.
5.Correlations between HIV-1 subtypes and changes in CD4+T cell count over time

Objective To understand the correlations between HIV-1 subtypes and changes in CD4+T cell count over time in patients with different subtypes of HIV-1 infection.Methods A total of 94 patients who were diagnosed with HIV-1 infection in Nanjing and received at least twice CD4+T cell counting test before antiretroviral therapy (ART) were recruited in this study.Descriptive analysis was used to present the rates of CD4+T cell decline for different HIV-1 subtypes.Logistic regression analysis and nonparametric test were conducted to investigate the factors responsible for CD4+T cell decline and to analyze the correlations between the rates of CD4+T cell decline and HIV-1 subtypes.Results The median monthly rate of CD4+T cell decline was-2.20 [interquartile range (IQR):-11.36-2.13] cell/μl.Of all patients,25.5% (24/94) had a significant decline (≥30%) in CD4+T cell count.Compared with the patients infected with CRF01_AE,those infected with CRF07_BC (OR=0.28,95%CI: 1.7-6.5) or other subtypes (OR=0.16,95%CI: 1.0-2.9) had a lower risk of significant decline in CD4+T cell count.In addition,results of the nonparametric test showed that the patients infected with CRF01_AE (M=-21.54,IQR:-30.97——11.92 cell/μl) had a faster CD4+T cell loss than those infected with CRF07_BC (M=-11.26,IQR:-14.06——5.63 cell/μl) (P=0.033).Conclusion HIV-1 subtype is associated with the rate of CD4+T cell decline.It is important to monitor the changes in CD4+T cell count in patients infected with CRF01_AE and to carry out timely ART.
6.The relationship between tooth discoloration and caries in primary teeth in preschool children

Objective: To study the relationship between primary tooth discoloration and caries in preschool children. Methods: 675 preschool children enrolled from 5 preschools in Suzhou City, China were examined for dental caries and tooth surface stain. Parents completed the questionnaires about their children's eating habit and living habit. The relationship between primary tooth discoloration and caries was analyzed with the respect to diet, hygiene, and the use of medicine or medical supplements. Results: Of the 675 children, 117(17. 3%; 52 boys and 65 girls) had tooth discoloration with no significant differences between gender(P> 0. 05). In the 117 children with tooth discoloration, 36(30. 8%) had dental caries, and in the 558 children without tooth discoloration 325 had caries (58. 2%, between the 2 groups, P< 0. 05). The incidence of discoloration was related with the frequency of consuming pigmented foods, vegetable and Chinese herbal medicines(P< 0. 05). The frequency of brushing teeth, use of water purifier and the water intake quantity were not significantly associated with discoloration of the teeth(P> 0. 05). Conclusion: The discoloration of primary teeth was negatively correlated with caries in primary teeth. Intake of pigmented food and medicine, vegetable and Chinese herbal medicine is related to tooth discoloration in preschool children.
7. Influence of growing experience on non-heterosexual orientation among male college students in Nanjing

Objective:
To analyze the influence of growing experience on non-heterosexual orientation among male college students.
Methods:
From October to November in 2015, a total of 2 535 male students from 96 classes in 14 colleges/departments were recruited from two colleges that participated in the experimental work of AIDS prevention by cluster random sampling method. A structured questionnaire was administered in this study, including general demographic information, growing experience and Kinsey scale (to evaluate sexual orientation). Out of 2 500 questionnaires distributed in this study, 2 332 effective copies were withdrew, with the effective rate at 93.3%. Chi square test was used to analyze the differences of non-heterosexual orientation among the individuals with different social demographic characteristics. Multivariate logistic regression model was used to analyze the influencing factors of non-heterosexual orientation.
Results:

8.Application of intelligent family doctor model in community resident health management during COVID-19 epidemic

During the prevention and control of new coronavirus pneumonia, Fangzhuang community health service center gave full play the advantages of internet technology, developed and implemented the Intelligent Family Doctors Optimized Coordination Model for epidemic prevention in the community. An epidemic prevention and control team was established in the center, the team carried out the epidemic prevention and control with the opening of health records and by using "doctors around" APP. The center also opened the intelligent voice return visits, the 24-hour service hotline, and WeChat public column to provide consultation for the community residents; it also strentherned pre-check triage, realized the medical insurance sharing and the other measures. All these measures enabled the residents to have a correct understanding of the epidemic situation, eased their psychological panic, enhanced their sense of gain, and made residents more convenient to seek medical treatment nearby reducing interpersonal contact and aggregation, reduced the risk of cross-infection, and achieved accurate health management among community residents during COVID-19 epidemic.
9.Evaluation on application of intelligent voice call system in popularizing knowledge of prevention and control of COVID-19 for chronic disease patients in the community

Objective:To evaluate an intelligent voice call system in popularizing knowledge of prevention and control of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) for chronic disease patients in the community.Methods:An intelligent voice call system for popularization of scientific knowledge of COVID-19 and protective measures was developed in Fangzhuang Community Health Service Center of Beijing Fengtai district, in which 12 popular education modules ware designed and 3-6 core points were extracted from each module. During January 23 to January 29, 2020, the system was applied to send voice calls and text messages to all contracted chronic disease patients in Fangzhuang community with popular science education in different time points. Using equidistant sampling method, 400 participants were selected from the patients of successful voice outbound calls. The intelligent voice outbound system was used to investigate the participants′ COVID-19 knowledge levels, the main sources of knowledge and satisfaction with education. The outbound results of the above indicators were queried from the database of the intelligent voice outbound system.Results:A total of 98 487 voice outbound calls were effectively connected, the average call duration per person was 2.24 minutes, and the total call duration was equivalent to 488.5 workdays. A total of 141 201 messages were sent, with a read rate of 97.8% (141 201/144 405) . After the voice outbound education, the participants′ scores in answering the questionnaire on 12 popular science knowledge modules ware all significantly increased compared to those before the education ( t=22.4, 27.5, 24.3, 31.2, 25.6, 18.9, 22.5, 27.3, 28.1, 26.4, 15.2, 22.6, all P<0.01) ; 94.8% (235/248) of participants′ knowledge of COVID-19 mainly came from voice call. In addition, the patient′s overall satisfaction with the application of the intelligent voice call system for popularizing science education was 90.8% (225/248). Conclusions:The knowledge levels of COVID-19 and its prevention and control measures effectively have been improved among the community chronic disease patients with the application of an intelligent voice outbound system. Moreover, this mode is highly acceptable to patients, which would be introduced to other urban communities in China.
10.Health seeking behavior and related factors among hypertensive and diabetic patients contracting medical service in Fangzhuang community health service center

Objective To investigate the health-seeking behavior and related factors among hypertensive and diabetic patients contracting medical service in Beijing Fangzhuang Community Health Service Center.Methods By using stratified random sampling method, 830 contracted hypertensive and diabetic patients were selected in the study.A face to face questionnaire survey was conducted in Fangzhuang Community Health Service Center from November 2016 to January 2017.Total 800 questionnaires were completed, and the medical behavior and influencing factors of patients were analyzed.Results The first-contact rate of community for hypertensive and diabetic patients was 73.0%(584/800).The reasons for choosing community service were: near home(86.3%,690/800), shorter waiting time(71.4%, 571/800)and trust in doctors(50.3%, 402/800); while the reasons for not choosing community service were less drug varieties(76.1%, 609/800), poor facilities(32.1%,257/800)and lower technical level(11.4%, 91/800).Its influencing factors were: frequent need of accompanying for visit(χ2=5.719, P=0.012),family income(χ2=4.540,P=0.021),awareness of service scopes(χ2=64.668,P=0.000),purpose of service(χ2=19.234,P=0.000),frequency of doctor contact(χ2=9.367, P=0.001), the awareness of referral(χ2=5.736,P =0.011).Conclusion The community health service centers should take the advantage of easy access, short waiting time and patients′trust,at the same time should improve the service conditions and quality,so as to increase the first-contact rate for patients contracting medical service.
