Objective To observe the Clinical effects on Sanao tables combined with Montelukast Tables for cough variant asthma (CVA) (cold beam lung card).Methods Eighty-nine cases of sydrome differentiation (cold beam lung card) complied with CVA diagnostic criteria were randomly divided into treatment group (45 cases,3 cases were lost) and control group(44 cases,4 cases were lost)).The treatment group was given oral San'ao tables combined with Montelukast tables,and the control group was given oral Montelukast tables.The course of treatment were all 14 days.Chinese medical syndrome,cardinal symptom and airway reactivity effects were determined and compared at pretherapy.Results Clinical effects of Chinese medical syndrome (effective rate (90.48％,38/42),cough severity (85.71％,36/42),frequency (90.48％,38/42),cough up phlegm (85.71％,36/42),pharyngeal itching (80.95％,4/42) and aversion to cold (76.19％,32/ 42)) in treatment group were all superior to control group (70.00％ (28/40),62.50％ (25/40),70.00％ (28/ 40),55.00％ (22/40),52.50％ (21/40),25.00％ (10/40)).The differences were statistical significance (x2=14.046,14.046,13.923,23.104,17.729,17.729;P＜0.05 or P＜0.01).Conclusion Clinical effects of San' ao tables combined with Montelukast tables on CVA is superior to Montelukast tables.

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Shiwei Longdanhua Capsule combined with western medicine on patients with mild acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) with phlegm-heat obstructing lung syndrome. Methods Totally 192 cases of COPD with mild acute exacerbation (phlegm-heat obstructing lung syndrome) were recruited. They were randomly divided into the treatment group (96 cases) and the control group (96 cases). Patients in the control group were treated in line with the regular Western treatment, while patients in the treatment group were additionally treated by Shiwei Longdanhua Capsule. After 10-day treatment, the changes of TCM syndrome score, symptom integral and the lung function before and after treatment were compared. Results After treatment, 14 patients withdrew from the treatment group and 15 patients withdrew from the control group. The total efficiency rate of TCM syndrome was 80.49% (66/82) in the treatment group, while it was 56.79% (46/81) in the control group, with statistical difference between the two groups (P<0.05). The severity and frequency of cough and expectoration of the treatment group were better than the control group (P<0.05). The breathing symptom and pulmonary function of patients in the two groups improved, with similar efficacy. Conclusion The efficiency of Shiwei Longdanhua Capsule combined with Western medicine in the treatment of acute exacerbation of COPD is superior to that of simple Western medicine treatment, especially in terms of relieving cough and expectoration.

The study is designed to investigate the progress in cardiac auscultation proficiency of residents after training program.Thirty eight residents were selected to test their ability of cardiac auscultation.There were 13 cardiac events(or murmurs)in 15 patients,and the auscultation proficiency was expressed as the percentage of recognizing cardiac events accurately.The results showed that the highest auscultation proficiency was whole systolic and diastolic murmurs(up to 79 percent and 61 percent respectively)before training.The percentage of recognizing continuous murmurs,click,mitral stenosis and regurgitation,aortic stenosis increased significantly after training program(P＜0.05).

Objective To study the effect of sodium ?-aescin on the matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) and laminin (LN) expression in rats after focal cerebral ischemia and reperfusion, and provide experimental evidence for the relationship of MMP-9 and LN expression change with the neuroprotection of sodium ?-aescin. Methods The Spraque-Dawley (SD) rat model of focal cerebral ischemia and reperfusion of cerebral middle artery was prepared. Fifty-six rats were randomly divided into the normal, sham, ischemia and reperfusion, as well as ischemia and reperfusion-treated with sodium ?-aescin groups. The latter two were further divided into six subgroups according to reperfusion time interval of 3h, 6h, 12h, 24h, 72h and 7d after brain ischemia, with 4 rats in each subgroup. Immunohistochemical staining and image analysis were used to measure the expression of MMP-9 and LN in the ischemic region. Results The expression of MMP-9 started to increase at 6h, reached the peak at 12h, decreased in 24h, and reached the lowest on 7d in cerebral ischemia and reperfusion group. Objective To establish an in vivo imaging method of normal or tumorous liver in mice by using a new type nanoparticle contrast agent, ExiTron nano 12000, coupled with micro-CT imaging.Methods Six 6-8-week old male C57BL/6J mice were randomly divided into group A and group group B, by intravenous injection of 50μL and 100μL Ex-iTron nano 12000, respectively.In vivo Micro-CT scans were performed before contrast agent injection, 3 minutes, 24 hours, 7, 14, 28 and 56 days after injection.To determine which dose is suitable for long-term studies, gray scale value a-nalysis was performed on selected region of interest ( ROI) in the left lobe and right anterior lobe of the liver, and the chan-ges of liver tissue contrast was monitored after ExiTron nano 12000 injection.Three male HBV transgenic mice bearing liver tumors ( group C) were intravenously injected with the determined dose of ExiTron nano 12000 and were monitored by mi-cro-CT scans as above described.At 56 days after ExiTron nano 12000 injection, the mice were sacrificed and liver sam-ples were taken for histological analysis.Results Cross-sectional images taken at various time points and the average gray scale value ( AGSV) analysis in the mouse liver revealed that the AGSV peaked at 24 hours after injection of contrast rea-gent and good contrast still presented in the livers within 56 days of observation for both groups, though group B showed a significantly higher contrast than group A (P＜0.01).Those data indicated that the dose of group B (100μL) was better to maintain ExiTron nano 12000 in the liver of mice for a long time.Contrast-enhanced by 100μL of ExiTron nano 12000, the liver tumor nodules in the mice of group C could be clearly delineated by Micro CT imaging during a 56 days observa-tion.Histological analysis revealed atypical hyperplasia, enlarged nuclei with hyperchromasia and cell necrosis in the tumors.Conclusions An in vivo imaging method was established to non-invasively visualize mouse liver using micro-CT combined with nanoparticle-based contrast agent and this technology may be applied to a live imaging of murine primary liv-er tumors.

Objective To evaluate the regional cerebral metabolic changes in different episodes by magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) after explosive brain injury in rabbits. Methods Fortyfive New Zealand white rabbits were randomly divided into eight groups, ie, normal control group( 10 rabbits) and trauma group (35 rabbits). The explosive injury in trauma group was induced by explosion of 600 mg TNT equivalent of paper detonators at 6.5 cm above the rabbit brain. The rabbits in trauma group was divided into 1,6, 12, 24 hours, 3, 7, 14 days subgroups (6 rabbits per group). The survival rate was observed at different time points after explosive injury. The MRS was used to detect the regional cerebral metabolic changes including N-acetylaspartate (NAA)/creatine (Cr) ratio and choline(Cho)/Cr ratio as well as evolution of blast injuries over time. Results The rabbits survived for overseven days in the trauma groups, with typical brain contusion manifested by pathological and conventional MRI. Compared with the normal control group, the NAA/Cr ratio was markedly decreased at one hour after injury, slightly rose again at 24 hours and fell again after seven days. The Cho/Cr ratio was markedly increased at one hour after injury, slightly fell again at 12 hours and rose again at three days after injury.Conclusions MRS can manifest the regional cerebral metabolic changes of rabbits with explosive injury at different time points and hence provide a theoretical basis for understanding the local tissue changes and determining the type of tissue damage after blast injury.

NAC(NAM/ATAF/CUC) protein plays an important role in plant growth and development, secondary cell wall formation and stress response. In this study, based on the sequencing data of Angelica dahurica, the NAC family was systematically analyzed using bioinformatics methods and its expression pattern was analyzed. Studies showed that 75 candidate genes had been selected from the NAC transcription factor family of A. dahurica, with the protein size of 148-641, all of which were unstable hydrophilic proteins. Most NAC proteins were localized in the nucleus, and had complete NAC domain. Phylogenetic analysis of NAC family proteins of A.dahurica and Arabidopsis thaliana showed that among the 17 subfamilies, NAC members were unevenly distributed in each subfamily, indicating that the evolution of species is developing in multiple directions. Among them, ANAC063 subfamily contained no NAC sequence of A. dahurica, which might be due to the functional evolution of the species. Analysis of protein transmembrane structure and signal peptide showed that NAC transcription factor could carry out transmembrane transportation, but its signal peptide function had not been found. Expression analysis showed that most transcription factors responded to abiotic stress and hormones to varying degrees, and the effects of hormones were obvious, especially ABA and IAA. In different organs of A. dahurica, most members of the NAC family had higher expression in root phloem, followed by root xylem. This study lays a foundation for further research on the function of A. dahurica NAC transcription factor and for solving the biological problems of A. dahurica.

Objective To discuss the value of combining superselective mesenteric angiography (SSMA)with methylene blue in-jection for localization of the Obscure Gastrointestinal Bleeding (OGIB).Methods 12 patients presenting with OGIB had preopera-tive localization of the bleeding site by SSMA.The microcatheter was remained inside the bleeding artery branch after angiography. Then the methylene blue was injected via the microcatheter for localization during exploratory laparotomy and the dyed intestine was then removed.Results The detected rate of bleeding sites by using preoperative SSMA was 100%.The lesions in total 12 patients were found quickly during the exploratory laparotomy.The length of the removed intestine was 9 -12 cm (median,10 cm).After followed up for 10-24 months (median,18 months),all patients with OGIB had no recurrence.Conclusion The method of SSMA combined with the use of methylene blue injection is a safe and effective procedure for the localization of OGIB and could be beneficial for increasing the surgical success rate of hemostasis.

Objective To evaluate the cause and the treatment of the vagus nerve reflex in patients with hemoptysis during bron-chial artery embolization (BAE).Methods 1 12 patients with much hemoptysis were enrolled,9 of whom represented vagus nerve reflex in the process of interventional embolization.Results In 9 patients with mixed vagal reflex,5 occurred in the process of bron-chial artery embolization,1 in removing of sheath,1 in hemostasis by compression and 2 in returning to the ward.The intraoperative vagus reflex during BAE was related to over tension and unnormolized operation,and it improved by block of vagus nerve,raising blood pressure and fluid expansion without serious complications.Conclusion Vagus nerve reflex during BAE should be noticed, and early detection and timely intervention may improve its prognosis.
