[Objective] To explore Ganoderma spore powder on severe acute pancreatitis(SAP) for the role. [Methods] Retrograde cholangiopancreatography injection of 5% sodium taurocholate caused SAP model; SD rats were randomly divided into sham surgery group, model group, octreotide treatment group, Ganoderma spore powder treatment group and Ganoderma spore powder octreotide in the treatment group; After hours of the serum amylase levels in the rats killed after 7 days administration, the level of plasma endotoxin and pancreas for histopathologic examination.[Results]SAP results in serum amylase concentration and plasma endotoxin were significantly increased, with serious pancreatic tissue damage. OBJECTIVE:To study the potential of three kinds of Chinese medicines in combination with Ceftriaxone in inducing endotoxin release from Klebsiella for references of combined use of Chinese medicines and western medicines in the treatment of severe infections.METHODS:The amount of endotoxin released from Klebsiella after being treated in vitro by Ceftriaxone(high,medium and low concentrations)alone or in combination with 3 antibacterial Chinese medicines for 4 hours was compared.RESULTS:The amount of endotoxin released by Klebsiella in low concentration of Ceftriaxone either alone or in combination with Chinese medicines were the maximum but minimum in high concentration Ceftriaxone group.The amount of endotoxin released in low concentration group was larger than in blank group(without antibacterial treatment),and that released amount in Shuanghuanglian plus Ceftriaxone group was less than in Ceftriaxone alone group.CONCLUSION:Low concentration of Ceftriaxone can induce Klebsiella to release endotoxin,while Shuanghuanglian can reduce Ceftriaxone-induced release of endotoxin.

Objective To investigate the effect of meridian massage on the growth and development of premature infants.Methods 60 preterm infants were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group with 30 cases in each group,the control group adopted modified domestic simple meridian massage method,and the observation group increase meridian massage based on the control group,2 times a day and 15 minutes one time.Body weight,length,intake of milk,sleep time,time to regain birth weight,and meconium drained time were eomparel between two groups.Results The observation group was significantly better than the control group in body weight,length,intake of milk,sleep time,time to regain birth weight,and meconium drained time.Conclusions Meridian massage based on the domestic simple touch method plays a significant role in promoting the growth and development of premature infants.

Objective To investigate the meridian touching on neonatal hyperbilirubinemia effect of adjuvant therapy.Methods 120 cases of neonatal hyperbilirubinemia were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group,60 cases in the control group were treated with modified simple touch of domestic law,on the basis of modified simple touch,the observation group increased meridian touching,2 times per day,once every 15 min.The nursing effect was compared between two groups.Results The observation group was significantly better than the control group in items such as daily intake of milk,sleep time,meconium drained time,jaundice.Conclusions On the basis of modified simple touch of domestic law,the addition of meridian touching can effectively reduce neonatal hyperbilirubinemia serum bilirubin levels,prevent high bilirubin encephalopathy,and promote the growth and development of newborns.

Objective To assess the clinical value of dobutamine 201Tl stress-redistribution/nitroglycerin augmented ~(99m)Tc-metho~(99m)Tc-xyisobutylisonitrile (MIBI) gated myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI) in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD). Methods A total of 132 patients with suspected CAD underwent dobutamine 201Tl stress-redistribution/nitroglycerin augmented MIBI gated MPI and coronary arteriography (CAG) within two weeks after MPI. Percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) were performed in 23 patients with myocardial infraction. The regional wall movement was assessed with echocardiography before and within three months after PCI. Results Taking stenosis ≥50% as standard of CAD, the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of dual-isotopic SPECT imaging in diagnosing CAD was 93.41%, 87.80% and 91.67%, respectively. The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy in diagnosing left anterior descending artery (LAD) stenosis was 93.85%, 91.04% and 92.42%, for left circumflex artery (LCX) was 86.79%, 89.87% and 88.64%, while for right coronary artery (RCA) was 81.25%, 82.14% and 81.82%, respectively. Of all 207 myocardium segments in 23 patients with myocardial infarction, radioactivity defect was found in 113 segments on the redistributed ~(201)Tl images, and radiofilling was found in 52 (52/113) segments on the nitroglycerin augmented ~(99m)Tc-MIBI images, whereas 61 segments had no radiofilling. Taking regional wall movement improvement as the criterion of viable myocardium, the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of identifying viable myocardium with nitroglycerin augmented ~(99m)Tc-MIBI imaging was 87.23%, 83.33% and 84.96%. Conclusion Dobutamine ~(201)Tl stress-redistribution/nitroglycerin augmented ~(99m)Tc-MIBI gated MPI is able to effectively detect CAD and viable myocardium and helpful in diagnosis and treatment of CAD.

Objective To study the effect of Guizhi Fuling Wan(GFW) on tumor apoptosis and apply the experimenting basis of GFW's development and utilization.Methods The S180 mice sarcoma model was used to detect the inhibitory effects of GFW,observe the ultrastructural change by electron microscopy,and the flow cytometer was used for apoptosis determination.The protein expression of P21waf/cip and the mRNA expression of Survivin were evaluated by immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization.Results For S180 sarcoma,the inhibition ratio of GFW was 38.93%.The apoptosis was 17.79% by the flow cytometer.Some typical apoptotic cells and apoptotic bodies were observed through electron microscope.Chromatin gathered at the side of cell,the nucleus turned into the nucleus band and nucleus projected.Survivin mRNA markedly declined in the GFW group when compared with that in the model group(P

Objective To explore the factors influencing pneumococcal vaccination uptake among the el-derly people in Guangzhou. Methods A survey by questionnaire was performed among 827 subjects aged 60 years or above and living in Guangzhou for five consecutive years. Chi-square test and multiple logistic regression analysis were applied to identify factors influencing pneumococcal vaccination uptake among the elderly. Results The positive factors for vaccination uptake among the elderly people included age of over 70 years (OR=1.677, 95%CI: 1.156 ~ 2.434), mental workers (OR = 1.837, 95%CI: 1.214 ~ 2.779), education background of over-three-year-course training (OR=1.769, 95%CI:1.039~3.012), and history of chronic diseases (OR=1.659, 95%CI:1.096~2.512) were positively associated with pneumococcal vaccination uptake. Monthly disposable income was not an influencing factor (OR=1.420, 95%CI: 0.895 ~ 2.251). Conclusion Strengthened publicity of pneumo-coccal vaccination among the elderly people and flexible measures tailored to the needs of different groups are rec-ommended in order to improve pneumococcal vaccination uptake among the elderly people.

AIM: To investigate mutations of oncogene k-ras in colorectal cancer tissues and the relationship between mutations of k - ras and biological behavior of colorectal carcinoma. METHODS:The specimens of 123 patients with colorectal cancer were collected. Real - time fluorescence quantitative PCR were performed to detect k-ras mutations at codon 12 and codon 13 of exon 1, and the results were analyzed with the corresponding clinical pathological data. RESULTS: Among 123 colorectal cancer cases, point mutations were detected in 53 cases (40.8% ) , point mutations at codon 12 were found in 42 (34.1 % ) cases, and 11(8.9% ) cases at codon 13.No closely relationship between mutations of k-ras and tumor size, location, invasive depth and differentiation extent was observed. The rate of k-ras mutation in the cases with more invaded lymph nodes was higher than that in the cases without invaded lymph nodes ( P < 0.05 ) , and the rate of k-ras gene mutation in the cases with hepatic metastases was higher than that in no hepatic metastases (P <0.05). The rate of k - ras gene mutation was higher in TNM staging Ⅲ/Ⅳ than that in Ⅰ/Ⅱ( P < 0.05 ). CONCLUSION: Mutation of oncogene k-ras plays an important role in the carcinogenesis and development of colorectal cancer, and it is closely associated with invaded lymph notes and hepatic metastases, suggesting that mutation of k- ras indicates a poor prognosis.

Objective To observe the effects ofYiqi Shuxin Pills on the coronary flow reserve (CFR) of patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) in the coronary angiography (CAG); To discuss its relevant mechanism of action.Methods Totally 101 patients with ACS were divided into control group (49 cases) and treatment group (52 cases). Patients in the treatment group were treated with western therapy andYiqi Shuxin Pills, while patients in the control group were treated with western therapy only. After treated for 6 months, CAG was reviewed to compare the CFR in both groups before and after the treatment. The blood-stasis syndrome and qi-deficiency syndrome scores and the level of NO, ET-1, hs-CRP, sVCAM-1, P-selectin in blood of both groups before and after the treatment were observed.Results The blood-stasis syndrome and qi-deficiency syndrome scores in the treatment group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.01); The levels of ET-1, hs-CRP, sVCAM-1, P-selectin were obviously reduced and NO obviously increased in treatment group than those of control group (P<0.05). The CFR in the treatment group was significantly better than that of control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). ConclusionYiqi Shuxin Pills can improve the state of blood-stasis syndrome and qi-deficiency syndrome, improve vascular endothelial function, relieve inflammatory reaction, lower the expression of platelet, stabilize atherosclerotic plaque of coronary artery, and then improve the CFR of ACS patients in CAG.

Objective To study the effect of operative modalities on the prognosis of gastric carcinoma patients suffering from various types of intra-abdominal metastasis. Methods In this study, 150 cases of gastric cancer with abdominal metastasis screened from data base, were divided by the location into peritoneal dissemination group (n=106), hepatic metastasis group (n=19) and both peritoneal dissemination and hepatic metastasis group (n=25). The surgical interventions include total resection, palliative resection and no resection. The clinicopathological parameters and prognosis were analyzed. Results The total tumor resection rate in peritoneal dissemination group (48.1%) and hepatic metastasis group (63.2%) was significantly higher than that in both peritoneal and hepatic metastasis group (20.0%), with the mean survival time (months) being 31.1, 12.8, 9.7 respectively (P<0.05). In peritoneal group, the mean survival (months) for tumor total resection, palliative and no resection subgroup was 46.3,1.7,4.8 respectively (P<0.05), whereas in hepatic metastasis group, the mean survival (months) was 17.2,4.0,5.4 respectively (P<0.05), in both peritoneal and hepatic metastasis group, the mean survival (months) was 11.2,8.9,5.0 respectively (P>0.05). Lymph nodes resection significantly prolonged survival in peritoneal dissemination group. Conclusions The prognosis of gastric cancer with peritoneal dissemination is better than with hepatic metastasis. Tumor total resection and lymph node dissection significantly improve the survival of patients suffering from peritoneal or hepatic dissemination.
