1.Assessment of reporting quality of randomized controlled trial related to dentine hypersensitivity.

OBJECTIVETo assess the reporting quality of randomized controlled trials (RCT) related to dentine hypersensitivity which were published between 2000 and 2009 in nineteen Chinese stomatological journals, learn the current status and the influence factors of reporting quality of the dentine hypersensitivity RCT, and determine whether they can provide high quality evidence clinically.
METHODSA handsearching of nineteen Chinese stomatological journals to identify dentine hypersensitivity RCT which were published between 2000 and 2009 and labeled "random". Assess the reporting quality of these RCT by Consolidated Standards of Reporting Trials (CONSORT) statement and then analyze the influence factors of reporting quality by univariate and multivariate analyses.
RESULTSWe identified 61 dentine hypersensitivity RCT, among which 45 belonged to journals of Chinese scientific study statistical source and 16 belonged to journals of non-statistical source. The reporting quality of dentine hypersensitivity RCT was not high at large and the CONSORT score was 8.1 +/- 2.4 on average. Multiple linear regression showed that the score of improved Jadad scale (t=4.656, P=0.000) was the main influence factor of reporting quality of dentine hypersensitivity RCT. The better the intrinsic authenticity was, the higher the reporting quality would be.
CONCLUSIONCurrently, reporting quality of Chinese dentine hypersensitivity RCT needs to be improved. In order to improve the reporting quality of dentine hypersensitivity RCT, experts in stomatology should not only improve experimental design before experiments, but also write papers in accordance with CONSORT statement.

2.Quality assessment on reports of randomized controlled trials of oral and maxillofacial surgery in China.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the report quality of randomized controlled trials (RCT) of oral and maxillofacial surgery in China during 2000-2009.
METHODSA comprehensive electronic search was carried out through Chinese Biomedical Literature Database (CBM), VIP Database for Chinese Technical Periodicals (VIP) and China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), and 19 kinds of journals of stomatology in China were also hand-searched. We identified RCT published between 2000 and 2009, and classified into oral and maxillofacial surgery and labeled "random" and assessed the quality of these reports using the consolidated standards of reporting trials (CONSORT) statement.
RESULTS53 RCT articles were included. Reporting quality of the 53 articles was not high and the CONSORT score was 8.2 +/- 2.5.
CONCLUSIONThe reporting quality of RCT of oral and maxillofacial surgery in China is poor. The CONSORT statement should be used to standardize the reporting of RCT.

3.Application of four-low scanning scheme of dual-source CT in triple-rule-out CT angiography for evaluation of acute chest pain

Objective To investigate the feasibility and value of the four-low scanning scheme of dual-source computed tomography(DSCT)on triple-rule-out computed tomography angiography(CTA)examination in acute chest pain.Methods Triple-rule-out CTA examination was performed on 150 patients with prospective electrocardiogram gating.They were divided into two groups:group A(100 kV)and group B(70 kV).According to different body mass index(BMI),group A were divided into Anon-overweight and Aoverweight,while group B were divided into Bnon-overweight and Boverweight.Subjective and objective evaluations[signal-to-noise ratio(SNR),contrast-to-noise ratio(CNR),standard deviation(SD)]of the two groups were analyzed,and radiation-related parameters were recorded.Results There was no significant difference in subjective scores between the two groups(Kappa value=0.372,P>0.05).CT value,SD,CNR and SNR were significantly different among the four subgroups(P<0.05).SNR and CNR of A(B)non-overweight were higher than those of A(B)overweight(P<0.05).Effective dose(ED)of group B decreased by 74.5%.Conclusion ADMIRE-3 and iterative beam-hardening correction(iBHC)combined with four-low scanning scheme of DSCT could improve the images quality of vascular,and reduce the radiation dose,contrast agent dosage and flow rate,which is worthy of promotion and application in patients with BMI≤30 kg/m2 acute chest pain triple-rule-out.
4.Analysis of clinical characteristics of in-stent reocclusions after coronary stenting for chronic total occlusions in elderly patients

Objective:To investigate clinical characteristics for in-stent reocclusion lesions after coronary stent implantations in aged patients.Methods:229 patients diagnosed with chronic total reocclusions were recruited from Jan 2005 to Dec 2019 in this retrospective study.According to age, patients were divided into a 40-49 year-old group(n=60), a 50-59 year-old group(n=58), a 60-69 year-old group(n=55), and a 70-80 year-old group(n=56)to examine different lesion characteristics after coronary stent implantations.Results:In the 40-49 year-old group, the 50-59 year-old group, the 60-69 year-old group and the 70-80 year-old group, the rates of multi-vessel reocclusions were 11.6%, 15.5%, 21.8% and 25.0%, respectively( χ2=10.03, P=0.01). For each group, lesions with concurrent proximal and middle coronary reocclusions accounted for 8.3%, 12.0%, 30.9% and 35.7%, respectively( χ2=11.83, P=0.005); Reocclusions with severe coronary calcification accounted for 6.6%, 15.5%, 36.3% and 37.5%, respectively( χ2=11.56, P=0.006); Long coronary reocclusion lesions(36-47 mm)accounted for 15.0%, 17.2%, 21.8% and 25.0%, respectively( χ2=11.56, P=0.007); Coronary reocclusions with diffuse long calcified lesions accounted for 8.3%, 13.7%, 32.7% and 35.7%, respectively( χ2=10.80, P=0.01). Conclusions:The clinical characteristics of in-stent reocclusion lesions after coronary stent implantations include multiple chronic total coronary reocclusions, concurrent proximal and middle coronary reocclusions, heavily calcified coronary reocclusions, long coronary reocclusions and diffuse long calcified coronary reocclusions in aged patients.
5.The value of ultraGlarge pitch Turbo Flash scan mode in the diagnosis of tracheal foreign body in infants

Objective To explore the value of ultra-large pitch Turbo Flash scan mode in the diagnosis of tracheal foreign body in infants.Methods The imaging data of 60 infants with foreign body in trachea confirmed by bronchus endoscopy were analyzed retrospectively. The 60 infants were equally divided into 2 groups according to the scanning time.For group A,the routine scan with the mode of CARE Dose 4D/CARE kV and pitch as 1.9 was performed.For group B,the scan with ultra-large pitch Turbo Flash model was performed.The scanning time,volume CT dose index (CTDIvol)and dose length product (DLP)of each patient were recorded in both groups and statistically analyzed.Results The scanning time,DLP and CTDIvol of group A and group B were statistically significant.CTDIvol and DLP of group B were significantly lower than those of group A (P<0.05).The diagnostic accuracy of group A and B were 100%(30/30),respectively (P>0.05).The foreign body display of group A and B were 100% (30/30),respectively (P>0.05).Conclusion Ultra-large pitch Turbo Flash can be used to detect tracheal foreign body in infants.It can significantly reduce radiation dose,shorten examination time and obtain satisfactory image quality.
6.Effect of hypertension on prognosis in patients with pregnancyrelated acute kidney injury: A retrospective, propensity scorematched cohort study.

OBJECTIVES:
Hypertension is a serious complication of pregnancy-related acute kidney injury (PR-AKI). This study aimed to determine the effect of hypertension on the prognosis of PR-AKI, maternal outcomes, and fetal outcome.
METHODS:
Patients with PR-AKI in a hospital from January 2008 to June 2018 were enrolled for this study. Patients with or without hypertension were grouped by 1꞉1 propensity matching score. The effect of hypertension on the prognosis of PR-AKI was evaluated by multivariate Cox regression before and after matching.
RESULTS:
Of the 30 680 women who attended the Department of Obstetrics, 126 patients were diagnosed as PR-AKI, the incidence was 0.41%. The age was (29.04±2.32) years. There were 50 cases in the hypertension group, accounting for 39.68%. Using the propensity score method, 48 pairs of patients were successfully matched, and the covariates between the two groups were balanced. After matching and adjusting for relevant clinical factors, Cox regression analysis showed that risk of end-stage renal disease (ESRD) was increased in the hypertension group compared with the normal blood pressure group (HR=2.951, 95% CI 1.067 to 8.275, =0.034). The risk of risk of adverse maternal outcome was increased (HR=2.815, 95% CI 1.271 to 6.233, =0.009), and the risk of fetal adverse outcome was increased (HR=1.437, 95% CI 1.028 to 4.623, =0.021).
CONCLUSIONS
Hypertension is an independent risk factor for ESRD, adverse maternal outcomes, and adverse fetal outcomes in the PR-AKI patients.

7.Effect of hemX gene deletion on heme synthesis in Bacillus amyloliquefaciens.

Heme, which exists widely in living organisms, is a porphyrin compound with a variety of physiological functions. Bacillus amyloliquefaciens is an important industrial strain with the characteristics of easy cultivation and strong ability for expression and secretion of proteins. In order to screen the optimal starting strain for heme synthesis, the laboratory preserved strains were screened with and without addition of 5-aminolevulinic acid (ALA). There was no significant difference in the heme production of strains BA, BAΔ6 and BAΔ6ΔsigF. However, upon addition of ALA, the heme titer and specific heme production of strain BAΔ6ΔsigF were the highest, reaching 200.77 μmol/L and 615.70 μmol/(L·g DCW), respectively. Subsequently, the hemX gene (encoding the cytochrome assembly protein HemX) of strain BAΔ6ΔsigF was knocked out to explore its role in heme synthesis. It was found that the fermentation broth of the knockout strain turned red, while the growth was not significantly affected. The highest ALA concentration in flask fermentation reached 82.13 mg/L at 12 h, which was slightly higher than that of the control 75.11 mg/L. When ALA was not added, the heme titer and specific heme production were 1.99 times and 1.45 times that of the control, respectively. After adding ALA, the heme titer and specific heme production were 2.08 times and 1.72 times higher than that of the control, respectively. Real-time quantitative fluorescent PCR showed that the expressions of hemA, hemL, hemB, hemC, hemD, and hemQ genes at transcription level were up-regulated. We demonstrated that deletion of hemX gene can improve the production of heme, which may facilitate future development of heme-producing strain.
