Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 1993;0(06):-
Objective To introduce a new field-based operating astral lamp. Methods The operating astral lamp employs specially -designed LED as the main light source, and IC as the control circuit. All the components are arranged in a combinatorial structure. It uses no glass material and makes the most of light plastic materials instead of metal. Results By testing the use of it in field training, this astral lamp proves to possess the following traits that high efficiency of light-emitting and low heat and thermal radiation, small power consumption affording a long time of use, strong abilities for vibration and shock resistance, and light-weighted conformation and easy assembly providing a convenient portability. Conclusion It is very suitable for field patrolling and defending.

Progress in Biochemistry and Biophysics 2006;0(06):-
A systematic analysis of the typeⅢ secretion genes of Aeromonas hydrophila strain AH-1 by constructing ahyR and ahyI mutant revealed that they are under quorum-sensing control. This observation was supported by the down-regulation of the TTSS genes in the presence of lacZ-TTSS gene promoter and the corresponding advanced secretion of AexT in ahyI mutant.

Objective To investigate the value of perfusion CT in the evaluation of neoadjuvant chemotherapy in locally advanced squamous cell carcinoma. Methods Sixty-seven patients with Ib2-IIb squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix underwent CT perfusion imaging before neoadjuvant chemotherapy to measure blood flow (BF),blood volume (BV),peak time (MTT),permeability sur-face (PMB),perfusion time to peak (TTP)and MIP(HU);and underwent routine enhancement CT after the two course of neoadju-vant chemotherapy treatment to measure tumor size, and evaluate the therapeutic effect. Results Among 67 patients,48 patents were effective (2 completely remission and 46 partial remission),and 1 9 patients were ineffective (1 5 stable and 4 progressed),with the overall response rate of 71.6%.The differences of PMB and BV value between effective and ineffective group were statistically significant before neoadjuvant chemotherapy (P <0.001).The BF,MTT,TTP value were no significant difference between effec-tive and ineffective group before neoadjuvant chemotherapy (P >0.05).The BV and PMB value were relatively higher in the patients with effective chemotherapy. Conclusion CT perfusion imaging could measure the BV and PMB value of the tumor before neoadju-vant chemotherapy to provide the basis for treatment selection.

Objective To evaluate the effects of health education of house-to-house visit in malaria prevention and control in the border and minority areas. Methods A health education of house-to-house visit in malaria prevention and control was car-ried out,and baseline and follow up surveys were conducted by qualitative and quantitative methods to document the changes of local villagers’knowledge, attitudes and behaviors(KAP)of malaria prevention and control in 2 counties of Yunnan Province, and the results before and after the interventions were analyzed and compared. Results After the intervention, the cognition rates about malaria symptoms and signs, transmission mode, preventive measures and health-seeking behaviors were 99.3%, 98.9%,79.9%and 99.3%respectively in the local residents, and those were 39.2%,8.2%,47.0%and 49.9%respectively be-fore the intervention, and all the differences were statistically significant(P all<0.01). Conclusions KAP related to malaria among the targeting population has improved after the interventions and the house-to-house visit is an effective community-based health education approach.

Chongqing Medicine 2014;(24):3206-3209
Objective To understand epidemic data and provide evidence for prevention and control of infectious diseases in Yongchuan area .Methods We collected the clinical materials of patients hospitalized during January 2008 to December 2012 ,and retrospectively analyzed the spectrum ,classification and epidemic tendency of infectious diseases in a hospital .Results A total of 4 632 patients were admitted to the department of infectious disease .The top two diseases were always hepatitis B virus infection related diseases and tuberculosis .Fatality mainly also appeared in end-stage liver diseases and tuberculosis .Morbidity of measles and mumps increased obviously in recent years .Hand-foot-mouth disease and influenza A(H1N1) were epidemic in this area .Conclusion The main infectious diseases in Yongchuan area are hepatitis B virus infection related diseases and tuberculosis ,which still are the important points for control and prevention .Also we should strengthen prevention of other infectious diseases such as hand-foot-mouth disease ,H1N1 and the mumps in order to decrease the occurrence of these infectious diseases .

Journal of Xi'an Jiaotong University(Medical Sciences) 2015;(4):514-518
Objective To study the changes and significance of sCD14 in inflammatory response of patients with gouty arthritis. Methods CD14 mRNA was measured using quantitative real-time PCR in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs).The expression of CD14 mRNA in PBMCs was compared between patients with acute gouty arthritis (AGA)(n =31)and non-acute gouty arthritis (NAGA)(n =23)and healthy controls (HC)(n =20).β-actin was selected as the internal control. The protein expressions of sCD14,IL-1βand TNF-αwere measured using enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) in patients’ plasma. The protein expression of CRP was measured using immunoturbidimetry in patients’ plasma. Routine blood and blood biochemistry indexes were measured by routine blood analyzer and blood biochemistry analyzer of patients with AGA,NAGA and HC.We analyzed the correlation between CD14 mRNA,sCD14 protein expression and each clinical indicator. Results When compared with that in AGA group, the mRNA expression of CD14 increased significantly in PBMCs of HC patients (P < 0.05 ).When compared with that in HC and NAGA patients, the protein expression of sCD14 increased significantly in the plasma of AGA patients (P <0.01).The protein expression of sCD14 was significantly lower in the plasma of NAGA than in HC (P <0.05).The protein expression of sCD14 increased significantly in the plasma of AGA compared with HC and NAGA (P < 0.01 ).When compared with those in HC,the protein expressions of IL-1β and TNF-α increased significantly in the plasma of AGA and NAGA (P < 0.01 ).When compared with that in NAGA,the protein expression of IL-1βincreased significantly in plasma of AGA (P <0.01). The indexes of WBC increased significantly in AGA compared with HC (P <0.01),and WBC increased significantly in NAGA compared with HC (P <0.05).The indexes of GR and MO increased significantly in AGA compared with HC (P <0.05),and MO increased significantly in AGA compared with NAGA (P < 0.05 ).The indexes of UA increased significantly in AGA and NAGA compared with HC (P <0.01).There was a positive correlation between CD14 mRNA expression and IL-1β in PBMCs in AGA group (r s =0.362,P =0.045).A positive correlation was found between GR and the protein expression of sCD14 in NAGA patients’plasma (r s = 0.397,P = 0.030 ). Conclusion The dysregulated expressions of CD14 mRNA in PBMCs and sCD14 protein in GA show that sCD14 may play a significantly regulatory role in inflammatory reaction.
