Objective To investigate the relationship between cerebral infarction (CI) and the single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of rs11833579G/A and rs4980959C/A of NINJ2 gene in Han population of the Western Guangdong province in China. Methods Genotype and allele frequency of rs11833579G/A and rs4980959C/A were analyzed in 278 cerebral infarction patients and 120 healthy controls. Results There was insignificant difference in frequencies of genotypes and allele in two polymorphisms (rs11833579 G/A and rs4980959C/A) of NINJ2 gene between CI and control groups (P>0.05). AA genotype frequency of rs4980959C/A was more in patients with small-artery occlusion (SAA) than in the control group (18.3% vs 9.2%, P=0.041), while the A allele frequency was more in the patients with SAA than in the control group (35.4% vs 46.1%, P=0.019). Logistic regression analysis indicated that AA genotypes of rs4980959C/A was a risk factor for SAA over G allele carriers (OR=4.012, 95%CI: 1.209~14.939, P=0.027). Conclusion NINJ2 gene 5' upstream untranslated region SNPrs11833579G/ A polymorphism does not associate with the risk of ischemic stroke. NINJ2 gene 5' upstream untranslated region SNPrs4980959C/ AA allele is a risk factor for SAA, AA genotype is a susceptible genotype for SAA.

Abstract: Objective To research the relationship between promoter polymorphism-438 A/G of thrombin-activatable fibrinolysis inhibitorgene (TAFI-438 A/G) and atherosclerotic cerebral infarction (ACI) in Chinese Han population. Methods TAFI-438A/G genotypes andtheir allele frequencies were identified with the polymerase chain reaction and restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) in225 ACI patients and 184 healthy controls. Results There was no significant difference of TAFI-438A/G polymorphism between ACI groupand control group. Stratified by gender, in males, the incidence of A allele was 28.6% in ACI group, and 20.6% in control (P=0.039); of theAA genotype was 9.0% in ACI group, and 1.9% in control (P=0.019). But no significant difference was found in females. ConclusionTAFI-438A/G polymorphism is associated with the risk of ACI in males, that AA genotype may increase the risk of ACI.

Objective To understand the infection of ureaplasma urealyticum in genitourinary of secondary infertility of male and ex-plore the relationship between the genotype of individual ureaplasma species and genitourinary infection of them . Methods Based on the multiple-banded antigen genes (MBA) of ureaplasma urealyticum, 10 pairs of oligonueleotide primers targeting the 5'ends of the MBA genes were designed to identify the MBA genes of U. parvum and U. ureaplasma by PCR-based genotyping system. The 10 pairs of oligonucleotide primers could distinguish the two biovars and 14 serovars of U. ureaplasma. Results A total of 278 (48.6%) positive ureaplasma culture were obtained from 572 patients attending our clinic of reproductive medical eenter. These methods were used to identify and genotype U. ureaplasma in 311 (54.4%) of 572 patients with genitourinary infection among them U. parvum (biovar 1) was detected in 37.1% and U. ureaplasma (biovar 2) in 17.8%. serovar 1 was in 12.4%, serovars3/14 in 17.1% serovar 6 in 7.5%; subtype 1 of biovar 2 was in 5.6%, subtype 2 in 8.9% and subtype 3 in 2.8%, respectively. Conclusion The PCR-based genotyping system will facilitate future stud-ies of relationship between individual Ureaplasma species or subtypes in genitourinary of secondary infertility of male. The methods described here are relatively rapid, practicable, and specific for the detection species identification and subtyping of Ureaplasma species.

Objective:To study the feasibility and safety in treatment of trauma to right posterior liver using laparoscopic surgery with patients in the left semiprone position. Methods:The clinical data of consecutive patients who were diagnosed to have trauma to the right posterior liver and were treated with laparoscopic surgery with patients in the left semiprone position at the Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery, the Affiliated Hospital of Youjiang Medical University for Nationalities between February 2016 and August 2020 were retrospectively analysed. The patients’ gender, age, mechanisms of injury, operative methods, operative time, amounts of abdominal effusion, degrees of liver injury, extents of intraoperative bleeding, amounts of postoperative drainage, lengths of postoperative hospital stay, and major postoperative complications were recorded and analyzed. Results:Among the 18 patients, there were 16 males and 2 females, aged (41.6±14.4) years. The mechanisms of liver trauma were caused by fall injury ( n=10), traffic accidents ( n=4), blunt injury ( n=2) and penetrating injury ( n=2). The levels of injuries were level Ⅲ in 16 patients and level Ⅳ in 2 patients. Laparoscopic suture repair was performed in 8 patients, partial hepatectomy in 4 patients, electrocoagulation hemostasis in 4 patients and ligation of bleeding vessels in 2 patients. All were successful in hemostasis. Abdominal effusion was (1 528.8±373.2) ml, intraoperative blood loss (80.6±16.7) ml, operation time (88.5±9.1) min, postoperative hospital stay 7 days and postoperative total drainage (93.8±13.6) ml. Ten patients were complicated with right pleural effusion, and they recovered with conservative treatment. There were no bile leakage, infection and other complications. Conclusion:Trauma to right posterior liver treated with laparoscopic with surgery patients in the left semiprone position had the advantages of adequate exposure which facilitated surgical hemostasis, resulting in minimal collateral damages and short hospital stay. The treatment was feasibility and safe.
