Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 1994;0(11):-
Ethyl acetate extract of Tripterygium wilfordii (20mg/kg, 40mg/kg ), given to adjuvantarthritis rats (ig ) for 7 consecutive days, markedly decreased both high and low shear whole blood viscosity, plasma viscosity, whole blood reduction viscosity, hematocrit and fibrinogen content, but without effect on blood sedimentation and K value in blood sedime ntation equation. These resuits indicated that the decreasing effect of T. wilfordii on bloodviscosity ma y be related to ius influenee on red blood cells and plasma composition.

Objective To establish reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) with primers specific for CEA gene and CK20 gene to detect circulating tumor cells in peripheral blood of esophageal cancer pa-tients,and try to find the relationship between the mRNA expression and micrometastasis. Methods The expressions of CEA,CK20 were analyzed by RT-PCR in 53 cases of esophageal tumor tissue and in peripheral blood, compared with 10 patients with benign esophageal disease and 20 healthy volunteers. Results The expressions of CEA-mRNA, CK20-mRNA were 96.23% (51/53), 100% ( 53/53 ) in 53 esophageal tumor tissue and were 52.83% (28/53), 49.06% (26/53) in peripheral blood of 53 esophageal cancer patients. In control group, there was only one expression of CEA-mRNA in peripheral blood of 10 patients with benign esophageal disease,as well as in 20 healthy volunteers. There was no expression of CK20-mRNA in peripheral blood of 10 patients with benign esophageal disease and 20 healthy volunteers. Conclusion CEA-mRNA, CK20-mRNA might be specific and sensitive markers to detect circu-lating tumor cells in peripheral blood and their expression was closely related to TNM stages of the esophageal cancer patients.

Objective To investigate the therapeutic effects of hepatic resection plus Roux-en-Y choledochojejunostomy in combination with reflux prevention on intrahepatie bile duct stone. Methods The clinical data of 230 patients with intrahepaticbile duet stone surgically treated in our hospital in the past 18 years were retrospectively analyzed. Of the 230 patiets, 110 underwent hepatectomy plus Roux-en-Y choledochojejunostgmy in combination with reflux prevention and the others received other surgeries. The complications of pleural effusions, infection of incisional wound, leakage of bile and retained calculus after operation were studied. Meanwhile, the recurrent rate of stone and long-term effects were determined. Results The occurrinjg rate of pleural effusion, infection of incision wound, leakage of bile was not significantly different among different groups. However, the retained calculus and recurrent rate of stone in the group of patients underwent hepateetomy plus Roux-en-Y choledochojejunostomy in combination with reflux prevention were significantly decreased as compared with other group (P<0.05). So was the effect in long-term (P<0.05). Conclusion Hepatectomy plus Roux-en-Y choledochojejunostomy in combination with reflux prevention could have better effect on patients with intrahepatic bile duct stone.

Objective To investigate the correlation of circular RNA-ZNF532(cZNF532)expression level with pancreatic islet cell function and microvascular complications in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).Methods A total of 198 T2DM patients admitted to the Department of Endocrinology,Nanyang Central Hospital from June 2018 to June 2022 were selected as the research subjects(observation group),and 50 healthy volunteers who underwent physical examination in the hospital during the same period were selected as the control group. The expression level of cZNF532 in peripheral blood mononuclear cells was detected by real-time fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction, the fasting blood glucose(FPG),insulin(FINS),glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1c),homeostatic model assessment of insulin resistance(HOMA-IR)and homeostasis model assessment of β-cell function(HOMA-β)of the subjects were detected by the fully automated biochemical analyzer, and the correlation between cZNF532 expression level and pancreatic islet cell function in T2DM patients was analyzed by Pearson correlation analysis. The clinical data of T2DM patients were collected, and they were divided into microvascular complication group(n=120)and non-microvascular complication group(n=78)according to whether microvascular complications occurred during treatment.Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to identify the risk factors for microvascular complications in patients with T2DM,and Spearman correlation analysis was used to explore the correlation between the expression level of cZNF532 and microvascular complications in patients with T2DM.Results Compared with the control group, the levels of cZNF532,FINS,HbA1c and HOMA-IR were significantly higher and HOMA-β was significantly lower in the observation group(P<0.05).The results of Pearson correlation analysis showed that the expression level of cZNF532 in T2DM patients was positively correlated with the FINS,HbA1c and HOMA-IR(r=0.324,0.357,0.410;P<0.05);and negatively correlated with HOMA-β(r=-0.389,P<0.05).There was no significant difference in gender, age, course of disease, number of patients with hypertension,high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),total cholesterol(TC)and triglyceride(TG)levels between the microvascular complication group and the non-microvascular complication group(P>0.05);compared with the non-microvascular complication group, the expression levels of LDL-C,FPG and cZNF532 in the microvascular complication group were significantly higher(P<0.05).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that LDL-C,FPG and cZNF532 were independent risk factors for microvascular complications in T2DM patients. The results of Spearman correlation analysis showed that the expression level of cZNF532 was positively correlated with the occurrence of microvascular complications in T2DM patients(r=0.681,P<0.05).Conclusion cZNF532 is overexpressed in T2DM patients, which is associated with pancreatic islet cell function and microvascular complications in T2DM patients.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the protective effect and mechanism of Ecliptae Herba extract on cigarette smoke extract-induced cytotoxicity.
METHODThe effect of Ecliptae Herba extract on CSE-induced NHBE cell proliferation was detected by MTT assay. GSH content was determined by DTNB colorimetry. GST activity was measured by CDNB colorimetric assay. NQO1 activity was detected by NADPH and DCIP. The protein expression was determined by Western blot assay.
RESULTEcliptae Herba extract reduced CSE's inhibitory effect on NHBE cells, recover the decrease in intracellular GSH caused by CSE and reduce the CSE-induced activity of GST and NQO1 and NQO1 protein expression.
CONCLUSIONEcliptae Herba extract can reduce CSE-induced injury on NHBE cells, which may be related to phase II detoxification enzymes.

Cancer Research on Prevention and Treatment 2021;48(7):679-685
Objective To investigate the expression of MPZL1 in gastric cancer tissues, its relation with the prognosis, and its effects on proliferation and colony formation of gastric cancer. Methods GEPIA and UALCAN databases were used to analyze the expression of MPZL1 in various malignant tumors. The KM Plotter database and UALCAN database were used to analyze the effect of MPZL1 on the overall survival of gastric cancer patients. The expression of MPZL1 protein and the changes of apoptosis-related proteins in gastric cancer cells were detected by Western blot, and the effects of MPZL1 expression on cell proliferation and colony formation were detected by CCK-8 and colony formation assay, respectively. Results MPZL1 was found to be highly expressed in various malignant tumors by GEPIA database. The results of UALCAN and KM Plotter databases analysis showed that MPZL1 was highly expressed in gastric cancer tissues, and might be correlated with the overall survival of gastric cancer patients. The results of CCK-8 and colony formation assay showed that the overexpression of MPZL1 promoted the proliferation and colony formation ability of gastric cancer cells (
