1.MicroRNA and pancreatic neoplasm
Journal of International Oncology 2010;37(12):939-942
MicroRNAs(miRNAs) are small non-coding RNAs that regulate gene expression at posttranscription. Its abnormality expression could be one of the main mechanisms on development of pancreatic neoplasm. It also offers new candidate targsts for diagnostic and therapeutic strategies of pancreatic neoplasm.
2.Diagnosis and management of splenic cysts
International Journal of Surgery 2008;35(6):407-409
Splenic cyst is clinically rare.It can be classified as either true or false.Ultrasound,CT and MRI scan are helpful in diagnosing splenic cyst.Indication for a treatment depends mainly on clinical symptoms and diameter of the cyst. Now,there is a more conservative attitude on splenic surgery and the patient should be offered laparoscopic approach. Both nonoperatively treated patients and surgically treated patients should be given ultrasound examination regularly,in order to check the cyst size and exclude reappearance.

Mesenchymal stem cel s inherent in the damaged tissue are the optimal seed cel s for tissue repair.
5.New recognition to stiff-person syndrome
Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2003;0(10):-
Stiff-person syndrome(SPS) is a rare neurologic disorder with autoimmune features. It is characterized by progressive, severe muscle rigidity or stiffness most prominently affecting the spine and lower extremities. It is frequently associated with diabetes and other autoimmune diseases. The diagnosis of SPS is based on clinical grounds, however, aided by electromyography and high serum titers of antibodies against glutamic acid decarboxylase.Intravenous immunoglobulin infusions, plasmapheresis and steroids provide additional and lasting benefit. Moreover, benzodiazepines, baclofen, tiagabine and botulinum toxin A can afford symptomatic relief.
6.Detection of micro RNA in cervical cancer tissue and its clinical significance
Journal of Endocrine Surgery 2014;(6):495-499
Objective To investigate the expression level of miR-21, miR-146a and miR-224 and their clinical significances in cervical cancer .Methods miR-21, miR-146a and miR-224 were extracted from the normal cervical tissues and cervical cancer tissues , and their expression levels were quantified by real-time quan-titative polymerase chain reaction analysis .t test was used to analyze the expression difference of the two tissues and examine the associations between miR expression and the clinicopathological characters .The overall survival was analyzed by log-rank test, and survival curves were plotted according to Kaplan-Meier.Results miR-21 ex-pression levels of cervical cancer tissues and normal cervical tissues were 11.02 ±4.83 and 10.36 ±4.79, and miR-146a expression levels were 24.68 ±7.92 and 22.43 ±7.25, and there was no significant difference for both miR-21 and miR-146a expression between groups (P>0.05).miR-224 expression levels were 5.78 ±1.03 and 3.35 ±0.93 in cervical cancer tissues and normal cervical tissues , and the difference had statistical significance (P<0.001).For cervical cancer tissues, the miR-224 levels were significantly higher in tumors less differentia-ted, in advanced FIGO stage and with lymph nodes metastasis (P<0.05).miR-224 levels showed obvious corre-lation with survival time and the median survival time was shorter in patients with higher expression level of miR -224(P <0.05).COX multivariate analysis showed miR-224 expression level was an independent factor in patients'survival and prognosis ( P<0.05 ) .Conclusion miR-224 is independent predictor for aggressive pro-gression and poor prognosis in cervical cancer , and it might serve as a biomarker for predicting clinical outcome of cervical cancer patients .

Journal of Environment and Health 1992;0(02):-
Objective To explore the health inspector effect on the score of hygienic degree of hostels. Methods Using the scale for hygienic degree of hostels, 38 health inspectors from 9 sections in the Bureau for Health Inspection and Supervision of Haidian District in Beijing, scored 621 hostels in the district. The multilevel statistics model has been used to analyze the health inspector effect, of which the index is intra-class correlation (ICC), in the double level model structured by hostels as the level 1 unit and inspectors as the level 2 unit, and in the triple level model structured by hostels as the level 1 unit, inspectors as the level 2 unit and the sections as the level 3 unit. Results In the double level model, ICC of the level 2 unit is 0.142 8. In the triple level model, ICC of the level 2 unit is 0.0000 and ICC of the level 3 unit is 0.154 1. Conclusion There is inspector effect influencing the score of hygienic degree. And the effect seems to be more similar in one section comparing with the other ones.

Objective: To investigate the effect of thalidomide and triamcinolone acetonide (TA) on human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC). Methods: The primary culture of HUVEC with collagenase Ⅰ was identified with FⅧAg. There were 3 groups in the study including thalidomide group(10, 25, 50 and 75 mg/L), TA and thalidomide group and control group. The absorbance ratio was measured through MTT-test. Results: Both thalidomide group and TA and thalidomide group showed inhibitor effect on the growth of HUVEC significantly(P < 0.01). The inhibitory effect was dose dependent. Compared to thalidomide group, the inhibitory effect was more significant in TA and thalidomide group(P < 0.05). Conclusion: Thalidomide can inhibit the growth of HUVEC; however, the effect was more significant in TA and thalidomide group.
