1.Expression of carcinoembryonic antigen in primary tumors and peritoneal metastases of gastric carcinoma

Objective To further explore the relationship of CEA in gastric cancer tissue expression and serum levels,and seek after the prediction effect of serum CEA in the peritoneal metastasis.Methods Retrospective analysis of 38 gastric cancer patients with peritoneal metastasis (group A) and 60 gastric cancer patients without peritoneal mnetastasis (group B),and analyze the first time in two groups of patients with preoperative serum CEA levels.The expression levels of CEA was examined by Immunohistochemistry method in primary tumors、negative margin and peritoneal metastases foci from group A and in primary tumors from group A,and the detection result of the statistical was analyzed.Results The expression of the first preoperative CEA serum levels in group A and group B was 73.68% and 41.67% respectively (x2 =9.604,P =0.002),and the two groups of patients with the first preoperative CEA serum levels was (74.00 + 6.00) ng/mL,(46.06 + 9.03) ng/mL,The two groups was statistically significant (t =4.715,P <0.01).In group A,the expression of CEA of primary tumors was higher than that of negative margins (x2 =29.587,P =0.000);the difference expression of CEA positive degree in gastric cancer primary tumors and negative margins was statistically significant(Z =-5.348,P =0.000).In peritoneal metastases foci the expression of CEA was 92.11%,that was 64.82% in primary tumor(x2 =6.728,P =0.009);the difference expression of CEA positive degree in peritoneal metastases foci and primary tumors was statistically significant (Z =-5.397,P =0.017).In primary tumors,the expression of CEA in group A and group B was 68.42% and 42.67% respectively (x2 =4.450,P =0.035),the two groups of patients with the difference expression of CEA positive degree was statistically significant,the two groups was statistically significant(Z =-2.227,P =0.026).Conclusion Over expression of CEA might have a critical role in peritoneal metastases of gastric carcinoma.The differences of the expression of CEA in gastric cancer in different tissues may indicate the risk of gastric cancer peritoneal metastasis.
2.Advances in Study on the Chronic Toxicity Effects of Automobile Exhausts

The progress of mainly experimental studies on the chronic toxicity test of the automobile exhaust-involving reproductive system impairment, chronic lung impairment and lung cancer in this paper, and the general situation and the progress on the latest domestic and foreign studies on the possiblely multiple mechanisms of automobile exhaust-induced chronic toxicity are introduced. Some epidemiological study results on the automobile exhausts-induced chronic impairments are reviewed, as well as some problems required to be explored further in the occupational risk assessment of exposure to automobile exhausts in recent years.
3.Histopathological change of axillary lymph nodes and ecto-node encroachment of breast cancer following neoadjuvant chemotherapy in locally advanced breast Cancer

Objective To investigate histopathological change of axillary lymph nodes and ecto-node encroachment of breast cancer following neoadjuvant chemotherapy in locally advanced breast cancer.Methods Second Hospital Affiliated to University of South China had received 86 patients with breast carcinoma from June 2002 to August 2009,these patients suffered lump over 5 cm and homonymy nonfusion lymphadenectasis.All samples were grouped on the basis of wether or not accept neoadjuvant chemotherapy.The first group included 46 patients,who were reluctant to receive neoadjuvant chemotherapy,operated after pricking pathological diagnosis.There were 40 patients with metastatic axillary lymph nodes and 17 patients with axillary ecto-node encroachment in the first group.The second group included 40 patients,who were voluntary to receive neoadjuvant chemotherapy,and operated after pricking pathological diagnosis and received three cycles of neoadjuvant chemotherapy on average.There were 26 patients with metastatic axillary lymph nodes and 6 patients with axillary ecto-node encroachment in the second group.Results The rate of metastatic axillary lymph nodes was 86.9% and the rate of axillary ecto-node encroachment was 36.9% in the first group,while 65% and 15% respectively in the scond group.There were significant deference in the rate of metastatic lymph node and axillary ecto-node encroachmen between two groups.Conclusion Neoadjuvant chemotherapy is effective to treat metastatic lymph node and axillary ecto-node encroachment in breast cancer.
4.Toxic Effect of Exhaust Particles Extracts of Diesel Vehicles on V79 Cell

Objective To observe the toxicity of diesel exhaust particles extracts(DEPE) on V79 cell in cell viability, membrane and oxidative stress. Methods Cell exposed different concentrations of DEPE for different time , the change of cell viability, the leakage of intracellular lactate dehydrogenase(LDH), intracellular glutathione(GSH) and glutathione peroxidase (GPX)content were determined respectively, and analyzed the relation between GSH and GPX. Results The results showed that the viability of V79 cell decreased and the leakage rate of lactate dehydrogenase increased gradually in according with the increasing dosage of DEPE,and that DEPE could impair V79 cell by oxidative stress, included intracellular GSH content decreased and the activity of GPX increased, indicating that GPX might play a important role in DEPE induced GSH depletion. Conclusion DEPE may impair cell viability and the cell membrane integrity, also impair cell by oxidative stress.
5.Chest radiological analysis of SARS in children

Objective To discuss the radiological characteristics and improve the diagnostic ability of SARS in children. Methods The clinical data and X-ray findings of 35 SARS cases who hospitalized during Jan, 2003~Apr, 2003 were retrospectively analyzed. Results Chest X-ray features were as follows: massive consolidation (27 cases, 77.1%), pulmonary interstitial infiltration (6 cases, 17.1%), and mixed pattern (2 cases, 5.7%). There were two patients with emphysema, but no patient with lung abscess or pleural lesion. The radiological dynamic changes showed that the lesions of lung appeared early, the severest period was between the fifth day and the seventh day, the X-ray findings were not consistent with physical sign, and the absorption of lesion was slower than the clinical process. Conclusion There are some certain radiographic characteristic in children with SARS. A correct diagnosis can be made by closely combining the X-ray findings with clinical and laboratory results.
6.The imaging diagnosis of congenital aberrant left pulmonary artery

Objective To strengthen the understanding of the imaging features in congenital aberrant left pulmonary artery (CALPA). Methods All 4 patients underwent chest film and Doppler echocardiography. Thres cases were examined by enhanced spiral CT examination. In addition, MRI and DSA were performed in 2 cases respectively. Thres cases were proven by surgery or autopsy. Results (1) appearances on chest films included cardiomegaly, pulmonary overvascularity, left hilum a little lower than the right one, emphysema, atelectasis, and pneumonia. (2) bronchography showed stenosis of trachea and/or bronchia. (3) Barium esophagram showed an imprint on the left anterior wall of esophagus. (4) Contrast-enhanced spiral CT and MRI showed marked dilatation of main pulmonary artery (MPA) and the root of MPA extended backward to become right pulmonary artery (RPA), the left pulmonary artery (LPA) arose from the RPA directly. (5) echocardiography indicated LPA arose from RPA. (6) DSA showed MPA was marked dilated, and LPA arose from RPA. (7) other abnormalities included 3 PDA, 2 PLSVC, and ~1 ASD. Conclusion CT and MRI are the best methods to diagnose CALPA.
7.The effect of infundibulopelvic angle on the outcome of flexible ureteroscopic lithotripsy

Objective To evaluate if the flexible ureteroscopy could treat stones located in lower calyx with the infundibulopelvic angle (IPA) less than 30°.Methods Thirty-six patients with inferior caliceal calculi on whom flexible ureteroscopic procedures were performed between November 2009 and June 2015 were reviewed.The mean age of the patients was 52.1 years (34-71),with the mean stone diameter of (1.5 ± 0.8) cm (1.2-2.6 cm).IPA was smaller than 30° in all 36 cases,which confirmed by CTU examination.IPA was less than 10° in 15 patients,between 11 ° and 20° in 13 patients and between 21 ° and 30° in 8 patients.Results The success rate was 63.9% (23/36 patients) in patients with IPA smaller than 30° after first session of procedure,and the stone free rate reached 100% after the second session of procedure.The mean operation duration was (95.5 ± 31.4) min(51-127 min).The mean hospital stay after operation was(4.1 ± 1.2)days (3-5 days).No major complications were recorded and no patients needed to convert to open surgery.Double J tube was removed after 4 weeks postoperatively.Patients were followed up for 4-12 months,during which ultrasound and CT scan were used for stone detection.Conclusions The small IPA (<30°) negatively affected the SFR in the first session operation.However,its negative effect was solvable by using modern endoscopes.A complete stone clearance was achievable even in case of unfavorable anatomic conditions in experienced hand.
8.The CT Features and the Prognosis of Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE) with Intracranial Hemorrhages in Neonates

Objective To discuss the CT features and the prognosis of hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) with intracranial hemorrhages in neonates.Methods The CT features of the HIE with intracranial hemorrhage were analyzed and follow-up studied in 64 cases.Results Of all the 64 cases with HIE, 53 cases were associated with subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), and all cases were normal in the follow-up study after 1 month. 1 case was associated with intraventricle hemorrhage (IVH), 10 cases were associated with mixed bleeding (SAH+IVH in 3 cases, IVH+IPH in 1 case, SAH+IPH in 2 cases, SAH+SHE in 2 cases, SAH+SDH in 2 cases). Of the follow-up studies on 10 mixed bleeding cases, 1 was normal, 1 was dead, and the others were cerebromalacia, cerebral atrophy, porencephaly and calcium.Conclusion Different intracranial hemorrhages results in different prognosis.
9.Expression of perilipin and ADRP in rat liver tissues with abnormal glu-cose metabolism

[ ABSTRACT] AIM:To observe the changes of perilipin and adipose differentiation-related protein ( ADRP) du-ring the development of diabetes mellitus and to explore the effect of perilipin and ADRP on abnormal glucose metabolism with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease ( NAFLD) .METHODS:The rat model of impaired glucose tolerance ( IGT) was in-duced by feeding high-fat diet, and the type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) model was induced by feeding high-fat diet for 4 weeks and intraperitoneally injecting streptozotocin.The morphological change of the liver tissue was observed under optical microscope.The serum contents of perilipin and ADRP were measured by ELISA.The mRNA expression of perilipin and ADRP in the liver tissues was detected by real-time PCR.The protein expression of ADRP in the liver tissues was deter-mined by Western blotting.RESULTS:HE staining showed steatosis in the liver of the rats in IGT group was more serious than that in T2DM group.The biochemical and the pathological processes of rat models were consistent with the clinical feature of related diseases.The serum content of perilipin had no difference among various groups.The mRNA expression of perilipin in IGT group and T2DM group was significantly higher than that in control group.Compared with IGT group, the mRNA expression of perilipin in T2DM group was significantly increased.The serum content of ADRP in T2DM group was significantly lower than that in control group.The mRNA and protein expression of ADRP in model groups was signifi-cantly lower than that in control group.Compared with IGT group, the mRNA expression of ADRP in T2DM group was sig-nificantly reduced.CONCLUSION: The serum content of ADRP plays a role in the development and progression of T2DM.It is negatively correlated with HOMA-IR.NAFLD occurs during progression of abnormal glucose metabolism in-duced by feeding high-fat diet.The development of abnormal glucose metabolism with NAFLD is probably related to the in-creased expression of perilipin and the reduced expression of ADRP.

Chinese hamster is an important laboratory animal in medical and biological researches,but the molecular genetic markers research was rarely reported.In our study the base composition,gene structure,genetic evolution and other characteristics of mitochondrial genome of Chinese hamster were analyzed using the methods of bioinformatics and comparative genomics,genetic quality detection system of Chinese hamster were also established.These results would supply genome data for animal models of human diseases,and lay the foundation for scientific evaluation and reasonable utilization.
