Cancer Research and Clinic 2006;0(09):-
Primary Hepatic Carcinoma(PHC)is one of the most common malignant tumors in the world.Nowadays, its incidence and mortality have been still increasing. With regard to the early treatment for PHC,the combined therapy, primarily referred to operation,is considered optimal. For recent decades, with the quick development of ultrasonic therapeutics,High Intensity Focused Ultrasound(HIFU)techniques, which rose newly, has already become a kind of effective and noninvasive substitution therapy for PHC operation therapy as a kind of noninvasive tumor therapy. Now,this literature review aims to summarize the found re- search and clinical research of HIFU therapy for primary hepatic carcinoma.

Journal of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Medical Sciences) 2003;23(4):414-7
To clarify the effects of zinc on the proliferation and apoptosis of cultured human retinal pigment epithelia (RPE) and the expression of caspase-3 in RPE cells. The effect of Zinc on the proliferation of RPE were examined with MTT method. TUNEL method was used to detect the apoptosis of RPE cells. Caspase-3 was detected by immunohistochemistry. A concentration of zinc higher than 0.001 microM could inhibit the proliferation of RPE. And the relationship between concentration of zinc higher than 10 microM and growth prohibition rate of RPE cells was dose-dependent. All concentrations of zinc including 0.001 microM enhanced the expression of caspase-3 of RPE. But only the concentration of zinc higher than 0.01 microM could induce apoptosis of RPE. It is concluded that zinc could enhance the expression of caspase-3 of RPE cells and induce apoptosis of RPE cells. Caution should be taken when using zinc supplements for the treatment of ARMD patients without deficiency of zinc.

Journal of Practical Stomatology 2000;0(06):-
Objective:To establish a tongue cancer cell line that stably overexpresses nm23-H1.Methods:The reconstructed plasmid, pCMV-BamH1-Neo-nm23-H1, was transfected into bacteria and amplified. The plasmid was identified by electrophoresis on a 10 g/L agarose gel and stained with ethidium bromide and then transfected to the cell line of Tca8113 by lipofectin strategy and was selected by G418 for 5 weeks. The stable expression of nm23-H1 was identified by immunofluorescence,Western-blotting and flow cytometer. Results:Restriction endonuclease Bam H1 examination showed that 986 bp of nm23-H1 was in pCMV-Bam-Neo vector. 5 weeks after transfection positive clones were obtained and the transfected cells were proliferated to confluent.Immunohistochemical examination,Western blot and flow cytometry showed that nm23-H1 expression was increased in the transfected cells. Conclusion:A tongue cancer cell line expressing nm23-H1 is established.

Objective To explore the role of the preoperative DSA examination and selected embolization in surgical treatment of intracranial huge meningiomas .Methods The clinical materials of 13 patients was collected and analyzed .Preoperative DSA was carried out in all cases ,10 of 13 underwent selected preoperative embolization ,the meningiomas were totally excised by surgery 4 to 7 days after the embolization .Results After the embolization ,DSA showed that the blood fed to the tumors was completely blocked in 8 cases ,and in great part in 2 cases .All tumors were totally removed ,the bleeding during operation was significantly decreased in patients who underwent preoperative embolization compared to the patients without embolization (P<0 .05) .Necrosis in different degree of meningiomas was found in postoperative pathological examination .There were no severe complications occurred during and after operations in all patients .Conclusion Preoperative selective embolization could significantly decrease the bleeding during operations .

International Eye Science 2015;(4):666-668
AIM: To observe the effects of scleral buckling surgery for retinal detachment under microscope and under indirect ophthalmoscope.
METHODS: Forty - six patients ( 46 eyes ) with rhegmatogenous retinal detachment were retrospectively analyzed. Twenty-six patients received surgeries under microscope was retrospectively analyzed and compared to that of 20 patients who received surgeries under indirect ophthalmoscope by the same operator.
RESULTS: No statistical difference was found in patients' operation method choice, including condensation reaction reattachment situation and the retina reset operation at a time ( P> 0. 05 ). The best corrected visual acuity of microscopic group after 1mo of operation was better than before operation, and the improving rate of vision after operation was higher than that of the traditional group (P<0. 05).
CONCLUSION:The curative effect of external approach microsurgery has the similar efficacy with the conventional external approach surgery, and gets better visual acuity.

Objective To investigate the knowledge, attitude and behavior of medical staffs on foodborne diseases. Methods To investigate the knowledge, attitude and behavior of medical staffs on foodborne diseases by random sampling following the questionnaire. Results There were 332 medical workers attending the survey. The medical staffs were lack of knowledge for foodborne disease, percent of pass was 34.33%.The pass rate of attitude and behavior were 88.88% and 98.19%.The knowledge score of medical staff of top three hospital (6.49± 2.18)were lower than the community health service center(7.04±2.26) (P<0.05),but attitude and behavior score of this two staffs had not statistical differences(P>0.05).Conclusion It is necessary to help medical staff to improve the attitude of foodborne diseases, and improve the monitoring of underreporting case.
