Screening Tool of Older Persons' Prescriptions (STOPP criteria) version 1 was first launched by geriatricians from Cork University Hospital (Ireland) in 2008.The criteria played a positive role in identifying potentially inappropriate prescriptions.It could also enhance the supervision of drug abuse and reduce adverse drug reactions in the elderly.Recently,a new version of STOPP was published,with updated,more practical and evidence-based guidance.Here we translated and edited the new version of STOPP,in order to provide a valuable reference for physicians and pharmacists and promote rational drug use in elderly patients.

Purpose To study the clinicopathologic features and differential diagnosis of primary mucosal melanoma of the nasal cavity (PMMNC).Methods 17 cases of PMMNC diagnosed from January 2003 to September 2016 were studied by clinical pathological analysis and immunohistochemical staining,and relevant literatures were reviewed.Results 73％ of the PMMNC was characterized by unilateral nasal congestion and intermittent epistaxis and 61％ of the PMMNC occurred in the nasal septum and nasal side wall.Microscopically,the organizational structure and morphology were complex and diverse,which had several cell types including epithelioid cell type (6cases,35.3％),spindle cell type (3 cases,17.6％) and snall cell type (5 cases,29.4％),the other 3 cases (17.6％)were mixed cell type.Mitotic activity and tumor necrosis were more likely to be seen in PMMNC,among other clinicopathological features with a small amount of fibrous stroma and melanoma and rich blood vessels.The immunohistochemical study showed that the positive rate of S-100 and HMB-45 were both 93.8％(15 cases) and those of Melan-A and vimentin were both 87.5％ (14 cases),while CK and EMA were both negative (16 cases).Conclusion PMMNC is a rare disease and the phenotype of S-100,HMB-45,Melan-A and vimentin are useful for diagnosis of PMMNC.

Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of using stereotactic radiotherapy (SRT) technique for conducting re-therapy after thoracic tumor radiotherapy.Methods Thirty-eight patientswith SRT after receiving thoracic conventional radiotherapy (RT) in our hospital from July 2012 to November 2014 were selected.The treatment target area included the lung local primary lesion,recurrent lesions and lung metastasis tumor.Results Median dose of previous RT was 48 Gy (30-56 Gy).Median biologically equivalent effective dose (alpha/beta=10.0,BED10) of receiving SRT was 62 Gy (39-72 Gy).Median follow up time was 12.30 months;1-,2-year local progression-free survival (LPFS) was 76.32％ and 63.16 ％ respectively.Median recurrence-free (RFS) and overall survival (OS) were 13.20 months and 21.00 months respectively.Grade 2 and 3 pulmonary toxicity was 15.79 ％ and 7.89 ％ respectively.Other grade 2-4 toxicities adverse reactions included chest pain (15.79 ％),fatigue (18.42 ％) and skin lesion(2.63％).No grade 5 toxic injury occurred.Conclusion SRT can be safely and effectively used in the patients previously receiving thoracic RT.

BACKGROUND:The biological substances fixed onto the implant surface, including specific proteins, enzymes, polypeptides, could promote the proliferation and differentiation of osteogenic cells in order to achieve a good osteogenic effect.
OBJECTIVE:To introduce the biological characteristics of the arginine-glycine-aspartic acid (RGD) peptides, cellbiological behavior and implant osseointegration in osteoporosis.
METHODS:Authors retrieved the relevant articles in PubMed database (January 1984 to January 2013), Wanfang database (January 2002 to December 2012) and CHKD database (January 2002 to December 2012) using the key words“RGD peptides, osteoporosis, bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells, osseointegration, osteoblast, induced differentiation”. Papers were included concerning the biological characteristics of RGD peptides, the biological behavior of cells and the bone-implant integration in osteoporosis.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Osseointegration on the surface between implant and bone tissue can be further improved by grafting biological y active substance. Bionics modification, to simulate the extracellular matrix environment in vivo, can promote celladhesion and growth, which is an effective way to improve osseointegration and is also an important direction of research in the field of tissue engineering recently. The future research is focused on designing specific and efficient polypeptides and simple and effective fixation methods.

Objective To understand patients' needs of health education and explore the information nursing health education model through investigation of the inpatients' health education need.Methods Inpatients in department of neurology were investigated by a self-designed questionnaire that involved 21 items.171 copies of effective questionnaires were collected and went through analysis.Results 61.99 percent of patients pointed out that nurses didn't understand their need for health knowledge.47.95 percent of nurses had never asked patients how they felt about hospitalization before health education.Television was the main channel to get knowledge about health for patients,but the patients believed that the health knowledge from healthcare workers was the most reliable way.Conclusions To carry out targeted and information nursing health education integrated with psychological nursing can promote health education work.

Objective To explore the clinical effect of reconstruction of coracoclavicular and acromioclavicular ligaments with multi - bundle - polystyrene - suture for treatment of Ⅲ degree acromioclavicular dislocation. Methods 30 patients with Ⅲ degree acromio-clavicular dislocation were randomly divided into two groups. Multi - bundle - polystyrene - suture was used to reconstruct coracoclavicular and acromioclavicular ligaments in treatment group; Cross - Kirschner and tension bands or clavicular hook plates were used to reconstruct coracoclavicular ligaments in control group. Then the clinical effects of the two methods were analyzed and assessed clinically. Results The clinical effects of treated group was significantly better than those of the control group on the volume of blood loss, surgical time and shoulder function. Conclusion It is a simple, minimally invasive, inexpensive and effective method. We need not to remove the internal fixation to reconstruct coracoclavicular and acromioclavicular ligaments with multi - bundle - polystyrene - suture for treatment of Ⅲ degree acromioclavicular dislocation.

Objective To explore the application of self-made guided wire operating-tray,which is designed for percutaneous tranluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA),in performing coronary intervention (PCI).Methods A total of 40 patients who were planned to receive PCI were randomly divided into the study group (n=20,using guided wire operating-tray) and the control group (n=20,using traditional method to operate guide wire).Under local anesthesia PCI was carried out in all patients of both groups.The frequency of guide wire winding,the degree of surgical sheet contamination within the operation area,and the comfort and convenience of operating guide wire were assessed,the results were compared between the two groups.Results The frequency of guide wire winding and the degree of surgical sheet contamination within operation area in the study group were remarkably lower than those in the control group (P＜0.05).The comfort and convenience of operating guide wire in the study group was better than that in the control group (P＜0.05).Conclusion In performing PCI,the use of self-made guided wire operating-tray can effectively avoid guide wire winding and reduce the degree of surgical sheet contamination within the operation area.

Objective To analyze the related factors of influencing deep vein indwelling catheter dysfunction in hemodialysis patients.Methods A total of 37 cases with deep vein indwelling catheter in hemodialysis patients were selected.They were divided into patent group and blocked group according to the appearance of catheter dysfunction (hemodialysis blood flow less than three times 180 ml/min,adjustment of body position,inversion of tube connection during hemodialysis,requirement of thrombolytic therapy and so on) in 5 months.The common data and biochemical indicator were compared between two groups.Results Patent group had 28 cases,and blocked group had 9 cases.There was no significant difference in age,diabetes mellitus ratio,platelet,low density lipoprotein cholesterol and albumin between two groups (P ＞0.05).Hemoglobin in patent group was lower than that in blocked group [(90.1 ± 13.8) g/L vs.(108.3 ± 11.6) g/L],and there was significant difference(P＜ 0.05).Conclusion Hemoglobin is the correlated factor that effects deep vein indwelling catheter dysfunction after hemodialysis.

Objective To report our experience with minimally invasive percutaneous nephrolithotomy (MPCNL) in treatment of renal calculi in solitary kidneys. Methods From August 2000 to August 2010, 242 patients with renal calculi in solitary kidneys were treated by MPCNL, the data were reviewed retrospectively. Results The mean operative time was 68 min, the clearance rates were 79.3% (192/242) after first session and 88. 0% (213/242) after second-look MPCNL and ESWL, respectively. Postoperative fever happened in 18 cases. Twenty-one cases required transfusion, 10 cases received angiography and embolization. One case experienced perirenal hematoma and 1 case had pneumatothorax. Conclusions MPCNL has the advantages of less bleeding, high clearance rate and short hospital stay. MPCNL is an effective and feasible treatment option for renal calculi in solitary kidneys and should be the first line choice.
