Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2006;0(04):-
Objective To investigate the oxalate-degrading and growth abilities of lactic acid bacteria coming from yoghourt in vitro culture broth. Methods The species of lactic acid bacteria obtained from 6 brands of yoghourt were identified. Different brands of yoghourt were separately cultured in broth and incubated at 37 ℃,5% CO2 for 48 h, getting the concentration of lactic acid bacteria through slab counting method. The brand of yoghourt with the highest quantity of bacteria was chosen as the study subject. Three species of bacteria and the mixture bacteria obtained from the chosen brand of yoghourt were cultured separately for 72 h in MRS broth which contained three different concentrations of ammonium oxalate, and the broth without inoculating of bacterium was prepared as control. The amount of bacteria in culture was detected, the concentration of ammonium oxalate was detected through photometric determination of oxalic acid by its catalytic reaction of methyl red by potassium chromate. Results Three species of lactic acid bacteria (L.bulgaria, L.acidophilus and L.thermophilus) were detected in each brand of yoghourt. The quantity of bacteria in Weiquan yoghourt is the highest. After 72 h incubation, the concentrations of oxalate in all the broths containing bacteria were lower than those in the control. L.acidophilus showed the best degrading activity. The higher the concentration of oxalate was, the bigger the amount of oxalate degraded was, the smaller the percent of degrading was, and the less the growth ability of bacteria was. Conclusion All the species coming from yoghourt have the ability of oxalate degrading, which increases with the concentration of oxalate in culture. But the high concentration of oxalate restrains the growth of bacteria.

ObjectiveTo analyze the prenatal sonographic features of facial anomalies and evaluate the relationship between facial anomalies and increased nuchal translucency.MethodsPregnant women coming to Shenzhen Maternity and Child Healthcare Hospital afifliated to Nanfang Medical University between October 2008 and December 2012 for the 11th-13th+6 gestational week scanning were included in this study. Fetal facial region was evaluated by the technique of cross-sectional view of the fetal lateral ventricle with probe tilting. Comparative analysis was performed on autopsy and prenatal ultrasonograpgy. ResultsThe prenatal ultrasonic results of 10 518 fetus: 10 343 fetus (98.3%, 10 343/10 518) were conifrmed as facial normal with the technique of cross-sectional view of the fetal lateral ventricle with probe tilting at the ifrst trimester. Twenty-eight cases of facial malformation were conifrmed at the ifrst trimester (8 cases of cleft lip/plate, 14 cases of absence of nasal bone, 5 cases of holoprosencephaly facial feature and 1 cases of irregular facial cleft). Forty-nine cases of facial malformation were conifrmed by postnatal evaluation or autopsy (the incidence was 0.47%, 49/10 518 ). Twenty-one cases were misdiagnosed (11 cases of cleft lip/plate, 7 cases of ear deformity, 2 cases of micrognathia and 1 cases of irregular facial cleft). Ultrasonic soft marker: 34 cases were combined with abnormal soft marker (69.4%, 34/49), 22 cases of various kinds of facial malformation were combined with other structural deformity. Twenty-three cases were combined with increased nuchal translucency. Fourteen cases of absence of nasal bone were detected in the ifrst trimester, including twelve cases of increased nuchal translucency, six cases of structural deformity, two cases of chromosomal abnormalities (21-trisomy). Five cases of holoprosencephaly facial feature were detected in the first trimester, including three cases of increased nuchal translucency and structural deformity. Eight cases of cleft lip/plate were detected in the ifrst trimester, including ifve cases of increased nuchal translucency. One cases of irregular facial cleft were detected in the ifrst trimester, who was combined with structural deformity and increased nuchal translucency. Postpartum examination showed: there were 25 cases of simple facial anomaly, 22 cases were combined with structural deformity (9 cases of cardiac defect and 8 cases of holoprosencephaly), there were 2 cases of chromsomal abnormalities. The results showed that increased nuchal translucency had certain relationship with facial anomaly. The value of nuchal translucency of facial anomalies fetus was apparently higher than that of normal fetus and fetus with simply facial anomalies. There was no signiifcant difference between normal fetus and fetus with simply facial anomalies.ConclusionsFindings of holoprosencephaly and cardiac defects is a signiifcant clue for diagnosing facial anomalies. Fetuses with cleft palate/lip have an abnormal conifguration of the retronasal triangle. Cross-sectional view of the fetal lateral ventricle with probe tilting caudal slightly technique is an important method to screen fetal facial malformation in the ifrst trimester.

Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2015;29(2):117-120
OBJECTIVE:
To investigate the feasibility of utilizing pedicled sternocleidomastoid clavicular periosteocutaneous flap to reconstruct the laryngotracheal defect after tumor resection.
METHOD:
To review 6 cases of laryngotracheal defect resulting from resction of thyroid papillary carcinoma(4/6) or subglottic laryngeal carcinoma (2/6) (T1~2N1~2M0 , UICC,2002), laryngotracheal stenting was also employed in all cases. Half a year after surgery, the stoma was sutured if no local recurrence took place and safety was proved after tracheal tube had been obstructed for days. The follow-up time lasted from half a year to 3 years.
RESULT:
Four cases (4/6) were extubated successfully without event, one case could intermittently plug the tracheal tube. One patient couldn't breath with tracheal tube plugging.
CONCLUSION
To reconstruct the laryngotracheal defect with pedicled sternocleidomastoid clavicular.periosteocutaneous flap after tumor resection is feasible in selected cases and could get satisfactory clinical results either in respiration or phonation.

Chinese Journal of Medical Ultrasound (Electronic Edition) 2013;(10):16-19
Objective To assess the prenatal features of dural sinus malformation (DSM) by ultrasound. Methods The prenatal ultrasonography and MRI examination were applied in three fetuses who were suspected as brain abnormalities and transferred to Shenzhen Maternity and Child Healthcare Hospital for detailed antenatal ultrasound examination. Comparative analysis was performed on MRI, autopsy and prenatal ultrasonography. The prenatal characteristics were summarized. Results In the sonograms of all three cases, the torcular Herophili and superior sagittal sinus were dilated. No blood lfow was detected within or around lesions by color Doppler imaging. Posterior intracranial dual sinus thrombosis was detected in one case. MRI examinations were applied in two fetuses. The results of prenatal ultrasonography were consisted with those of MRI, MRI imaging showed dilated torcular Herophili and superior sagittal sinus with short T1 and short T2 signal. The thrombosis was presented as iso-hypointense with focal eccentric hyperintense. One case was undertook autopsy and the result was consisted with the prenatal sonographic findings. Conclusions The typical sonographic features of DSM is dilated torcular Herophili and superior sagittal sinus with no blood lfow in color Doppler imaging. DSM should be excluded when anechoic area was detected at the rear part of midline.

Journal of Forensic Medicine 2015;31(5):381-386
Human violent behavior is a complex behavior which is influenced by genetic and environmental factors. There is a trend in investigating the mechanism of violent behavior by using the genetic methods. This article reviews several candidate genes and advances in epigenetics which are associated with violent behavior. The prospects and significance of violent behavior research from the view of gene polymorphism and epigenetics are also discussed.
