To explore diagnostic acuity of helical CT colonscopic examination, simulated polyps were reproduced in 10 pig colons and 6 human colons obtained from colon resection. Helical CT colonoscopic scanning with different parameters was performed. The images were evaluated with Nav, Axial+MPR, SSD+Raysum. The diagnostic sensitivity of each method for the detection of simulated colonic polyps were assessed. The results indicated that the image quality of CT colonoscopy was improved with the decrease in collimation and pitch. The optimal angle of the colon lumen to the gantry was 90?. CT colonoscopy was superior to other imaging methods. Therefore, the performance of CTVC has a close relationship with the scanning parameters. The optimal scanning parameters were 5mm collimation, 1 5 pitch, and filling the colon with air. The combination of CTVC with other imaging methods would contribute to improving the diagnostic accuracy for the detection of colonic polyps.

Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) is one of the common techniques in molecular biology, which can amplify nucleic acids through the cycle of denaturation, annealing and extension. Based on the principle of common PCR, rapid PCR is to realize the amplification of nucleic acids in less time without affecting the specificity, sensitivity and fidelity of the reaction. A lot of research work in this field has been going on in recent years. This article will make a review of the development of rapid PCR with emphases on the improvement of DNA polymerase, the choice of additives and the improvement of thermocyclers.

Objective　To study the MRI signs in spinal cord injury. Methods　A tatal of 90 cases of spinal cord injury examined with magnetic resonance(MR)，40 underwent a GE 0.5T superconducting system and 50 with a SIEMENS Open 0.2T. With spine surface coil, all of them were examined with axial and sagittal spin echo sequences, while 10 given extra coronal sequence. MRI findings and its correlation with prognosis of patients were analyzed. Results　Among the 90 cases of spinal cord injury, incomplete and complete transection of spinal cord was found in 14 cases (13.2%), spinal cord edema in 11 (10.4%), intraspinal cord hemorrhage in 27 (25.5%), compression and dislocation in 27(25.5%), malacia in 16(15.1%), and atrophy in 11(10.4%). Conclusion　From the morphologic and pathological changes of spinal cord MRI can not only direct the option of treatment protocols, but may also evaluate the prognosis of spinal cord injuries. Objective To evaluate the security and biocompatibility of a new kind of absorbable high-strength PDLLA-CPP composite, which is used for internal fracture fixation. Methods According to the national standard of the procedure of appraise in food security and toxicology, micronucleus test of bone marrow cell, spermatic aberration test, chromosomal aberration test, and teratogenic test were measured with IP maximal tolerance dose of maceration extract from PDLLA-CPP composites. Meanwhile, chondrocyte culture with PDLLA-CPP composite was used to evaluate the effect of PDLLA-CPP composite on cartilage cell proliferation. Results Micronucleus test of bone marrow cell, spermatic aberration test, chromosomal aberration test, and teratogenic test were not affected by IP maximal tolerance dose of PDLLA-CPP maceration extract. PDLLA-CPP composite also had no cytotoxicity on cartilage cell proliferation. Conclusion PDLLA-CPP is a new and safe medical material with good biocompatibility and absorbability.

Objective To investigate the relationship between disease activity and osteocalcin,β-isomerized C-terminal telopeptides (β-CTX) in SAPHO syndrome.Methods We studied 58 cases who were diagnosed as SAPHO syndrome.The following indices used to assess the activity of SAPHO were measured:Bath ankylosing spondylitis Disease activity index (BASDAI),Bath ankylosing spondylitis functional index(BASFI),visual analogue scale (VAS) pain and erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR),C-reactive protein (CRP),osteocalcin and β-CTX.The SAPHO patients were divided from two groups according to the disease activity.The relationships were analyzed with t-test and Pearson's test.Results The β-CTX of the active group(0.43±0.20) ng/ml was elevated than the stable group (0.23 ±0.09) ng/mL (t=-4.620,P=0.007).And there was no significant difference in the osteocalcin between the active group (2.7±1.0) μg/L and the stable group(2.4±1.0) μg/L (t=-1.169,P=0.820).There was no significant correlation between the serum osteocalcin and ESR or hypersensitive CRP (hs-CRP) (rESR=0.228,PESR=0.088;rhsCRP=-0.085,PhsCRP=0.528).And β-CTX level was related to the VAS (r=0.496,P＜0.01),BASDAI (r=0.401,P=0.002) and BASFI (r=0.295,P=0.025).While no significant relationship between the osteocalcin and pain index was observed in our study.Conclusion The positive correlation between serum β-CTX and disease activity indicates significant bone absorption during the bone destroy process in SAPHO syndrome.

To solve separating problem of natural soda, fifty-seven strains screened from soil, floul water and activated mud were of flocculating activity. Two strains of bacteria, which were screened from above mentioned strains have higher activity and better steady than the whole culture liquid of bacteria was observed that its flocculating use to natural soda was strong and the mean flocculating rate of two strains were 79.80% and 87.% respectively.
