Objective To establish rat models with Alzheimer's disease(AD) induced by ?-amyloid,and to observe the effects of nicotine on learning and memorizing ability of the rats. Methods Aggregated A?1-40 was injected into the bilateral basal forebrain of the rats.Learning and memorizing ability of the rats were inspected through Morris water maze test. The effects of nicotine on learning and memorizing ability of the rats induced by ?-amyloid peptide were observed. Results The learning and memorizing ability of AD animal models injected aggregated(A?1-40) for 2 weeks decreased(P

OBJECTIVETo study the molecular mechanism of extracts from Euodia rutaecarpa on hepatotoxicity in mice.
METHODTotally 30 KM mice were divided into 3 groups and orally administrated extracts from E. rutaecarpa for consecutively 15 days. The expressions of Erkl/2, CDK8, CK1e, Stat3 and Src were detected by Western blotting method.
RESULTThe extracts from E. rutaecarpa could up-regulated Erkl/2, CDK8 and CK1e expressions (P <0.01) and down-regulate Stat3 and Src (P <0.01).
CONCLUSIONThe molecular mechanism of E. rutaecarpa on hepatotoxicity may be correlated with Erkl/2, CDK8, CKle, Stat3 and Src signal molecules.

Objective To explore role of functional neck dissection for lower collar-shaped incision at hair margin behind ear in the treatment of differentiated thyroid cancer. Methods The clinical data of 11 patients with thyroid papillary carcinoma who underwent func-tional neck dissection for lower collar-shaped incision at hair margin behind ear were retrospectively analyzed. Results The incisions of all patients were unseen in daily life and patients were satisfied with the postoperative appearances. No case of shoulder syndrome, postoperative local recurrence and distant metastasis was observed. Conclusion Functional neck dissection for lower collar-shaped incision at hair margin behind ear is effective in the treatment of differentiated thyroid cancer. Meanwhile it can obviously improve patients’ postoperative appearance and life quality, therefore it is worth clinical application.

Objective To explore the alterations of protein phosphatase-2A (PP-2A) in lymphocytes in mild cognition impairment (MCI) and Alzheimer's disease (AD).Methods The activity PP-2A of was measured by ~(32)p liquid seintillography for incorporated radioactivity in control group(n=11) , the MCI group(n=11),and the AD group(n=11).The expression of PP-2A was determined by Western blot. Results In the control group, the activity of PP-2A (1.01?0.09) and the expression of PP-2A (0.96?0.07) were high while in the MCI group, the activity of PP-2A (0.71?0.12) and the expression of PP-2A (0.80?0.05) were decreased (both P

Objective To invesgate the effect of P-glycoprotein(PGP)inhibitor,verapamil,on electrobiological activity and seizure behavior in phenytoin-carbamazepine(PHT-CBZ)resistant rats. Methods The model of medically intractable epilepsy was established by kindling of amygdale. Verapamil was applied to PHT-CBZ resistant rats, followed by the observation on after discharge threshold (ADT),after discharge duration(ADD)and seizure activity. Results Compared with the control group, the ADT was higher in PHT-CBZ resistant rats peritoneally injected with verapamil((238.0?32.2)?A vs (177.0?23.3)?A,P

Objective To investigate the evolution of surgical treatment and it's influence on prognosis in reptured liver cystic echinococcosis.Method Clinical data of 110 surgically treated cases of reptured liver cystic echinococcosis from January 1990 to December 2008 were retrospectively analysed, and these cases were divided into three groups by different surgical approach;Group A(22 cases):removal of internal capsule, with formaldehyde or hydrogen peroxide regional anthelminthic, with residual cavity side edge of lock stitching or greater omentum filling or drainage after residual cavity closure;Group B (65 cases):Removal of intemal capsule, with hypertonic saline regional anthelminthic, with external capsule extrahepatic partial resection, with residual cavity bile leakage sutured, and with residual cavity open drainage,Group C(23 cases):the total or subtotal external capsule stripping operation, with hypertonic saline regional anthelminthic and drainage.Result The rate of overall postoperative complications of residual cavity was 40.9%、16.9%、0.0%(P<0.05)respectively and the recurrence rate was 18.2%、4.6%、0.0%(P<0.05)respectively;drainage time needed was the longest in group A,and shortest in group C,whereas the operation time was the longest in group C and it costed higher blood loss.Intraabdominal implantation of the hydatid significantly decreased with hypertonic saline treatment. Conclusion Total or near total removal of the external capsule of the hydatic cyst and hypertonic saline treatment with postoperative external drainage is the therapy of choice for reptured liver cystic echinococcosis.

Objective To investigate the effect of early enteral nutrition. Methods 248 patients with esophageal and gastric carcinoma were randomly divided into two groups, and received enteral nutrition(EN)and parenteral nutrition(PN)each continuously for 6 days after operation. The body weight, blood routine test, liver function, and postoperative day 8 were compared with those before operation. Results The body weight, red blood cell count, and the levels of hemoglobin, serum albumin and transaminase decreased less in EN group than those in PN group(P<0.01).The complication rates of anastomotic fistula, pulmonary infection, and delayedincision healing and average volume of pleural effusion were 0,13.8%,0,780ml in EN groups, while 3.2%,28.2%,7.2%,1842ml in PN group. Conclusion Early postoperative enteral nutirtion after esophageal carcinoma surgery can improve nutritional status and reduce complications in comparision with parenteral nutrition.

Objective To summarize the experience in hepatic artery reconstruction in adult-to-adult living donor liver transplantation(ALDLT).Methods Fifty patients underwent ALDLT in our hospital from January 2002 to July 2006.All the hepatic a~ery reconstructions were done under surgical microscope.ResultsTwo patients(4%)presented with hepatic artery thrombosis. All the patients were followed up for 2 to 52 months (median,9 months),and no hepatic artery stenosis nor hepatic artery pseudoaneurysm occurred. The 1-year survival rate was 92%(46/50).Conclusions Systematic evaluation of hepatic artery reconstruction and use of microsurgical technique are key to the reduction of complications of hepatic artery reconstruction in ALDLT.

China Journal of Orthopaedics and Traumatology 2015;28(12):1166-1170
Bone xenograft bone for the treatment of bone defect is one of the current research focus, which has advantages of extensive sources, low cost, simple preparation method. While the process of single bone xenograft bone in repairing bone defect is very long, and the clinical outcome is not satisfactory. The main problems focus on formation of bone and vascularization. Reconstituted bone xenograft combined with cells and xenogenic bone material could promote vascularization and bone fusion in vivo, thus achieve a clinical effect of autogenous bone in repairing bone defect.
