Objective To investigate the effects of dexmedetomidine pretreatment on lung injury for patients after liver surgery. Meth-ods Sixty patients who had liver surgery in our hospital from August 2009 to February 2014 were equally divided into the treatment group and the control group, with 30 patients in each group. Both of the two groups were given one-lung ventilation anesthesia. Patients in the treatment group were given continuous intravenous infusion of dexmedetomidine after induction of anesthesia while paitents in the control group were not. In the time of before induction of anesthesia (T0), closed chest (T1), immediately after surgery (T2), all patients were given the gas analysis, expression of inflammatory cytokines and lung function testing and analysis. Results The diastolic blood pressure and heart rate at time points of T0, T1 and T2 in the two groups showed no significant difference (P> 0. 05). And the expression of TNF-αand SP-D at time points of T1 and T2 in the two groups were significantly higher than those at T0 (P<0. 05);while the expression of TNF-αand SP-D in the treatment group were significantly lower than those in the control group at time points of T1 and T2 (P<0. 05). The plateau air-way pressure and airway resistance in the treatment group at T2 and T3 were significantly lower than that at T1 (P<0. 05), and there were statistically significant differences compared with the control group (P<0. 05). Conclusion The dexmedetomidine pretreatment for the liver surgery patients can inhibit the inflammatory response, while improve lung airway plateau pressure and airway resistance. It has no significant effect for blood, so it can play a protective role for lung function.

Objective:To explore the curative effect of acupuncture combined with huanglian wendan decoction on the mild cognitive impairment after stroke.Methods:100 patients with mild cognitive impairment after stroke were enrolled in our hospital from June 2013 to August 2016 and randomly divided into two groups. The control group (n=50) accepted nimodipine, and the study group (n=50)accepted huanglian wendan decoction combined with acupuncture treatment based on the control group. The MMSE and MSSS scores were evaluated and compared, and the improvement of cognitive dysfunction and nervous dysfunction, quality of life were compared and analyzed. Results:After treatment, the MMSE,ADL scores of patients were remarkably decreased compared with those before treatment (P<0.05),and the decreasing degree of study group was significantly higher than those of the control group (P<0.05).The MSSS,MBI scores of both groups were significantly increased compared with those before treatment (P<0.05),and the increasing degree of study group was significantly higher than those of the control group (P<0.05).The effective rates of improvement in cognitive dysfunction and nervous dysfunction, quality of life of study group were significantly higher than those of the control group (P<0.05).Conclusions:Huanglian wendan decoction combined with acupuncture treatment was effective for the mild cognitive impairment after stroke and could improve the quality of life.

Characteristics and measurement principles of reference methods in clinical biochemistry were described.Implementation of reference systems is one of the most effective approaches to improve the accuracy and comparability of clinical laboratory test results.Reference methods are the key components of reference systems.Reference methods should have measurement uncertainties that meet the requirements of the intended use,and thus should be based on reliable measurement principles. For the well-defined biochemistry analytes, reference methods have been almost all based on instrumental analysis.Isotope dilution mass spectrometry (ID/MS) is considered most reliable and has been the major analytical principle of the reference methods.ID/MS analysis is accurate but expensive.Use of other validated instrumental analyses as reference measurement principles would be justified.

Dietary surveyis a method to evaluate whether dietary intake meets body requirements by recording food consumed during a certain period.Widely-used dietary survey methods include:24 h dietary recall, dietary record, food frequency questionnaire and dietary history questionnaire.Since each method has its own advantages and limitations, researchers need to choose appropriate methods according to research purposes, accuracy requirements, availability of resources, etc.Obese children who are the focus and the major difficulty in dietary survey,it is important to choose an appropriate survey method. This article reviews widely-used dietary survey methods and evaluates them in the study of obese children related dietary surveys.

Objective:To investigate the range of normal value of total nasal cavity volume(NV)and total na-sopharyngeal cavity volume (NPV)of healthy adults. Method: Six hundred and fifty-nine healthy adults andeighty-two adults of chronic rhinitis were measured with acoustic rhinometry. Result:The range of NV was29. 922~37. 481 cm3 and NPV was 29. 369~44. 159 cm3. Comparing healthy adults with adults of chronic rhini-tis,there was a significant difference in NV. Conclusion:Acoustic rhinometry suited for objective assessment ofthe nasal airways in adults. It was demonstrated that these data could provide available information for the studyof nasal physiology and pathophysiology,as well as for the diagnosis and judgement of therapeutic effectiveness ofnasal diseases.

Objective To evaluate the feasibility and safety of endoscopic intraluminal closure of small colon perforation with metal clips in porcine model. Methods A 2 cm full-thickness colon perforation was made in 4 bama mini-pigs.One did not receive local closure as a control, while 3 others underwent closure with bi-and tri-arm clips, one of which received additional fibrin glue injection after closure.Necropsy was done on day 14 after the procedure, and dye leak test, peritoneal fluid bacteria culture and histological examination were performed.During the 2 week observation period, the body temperature and blood leukocytes count were recorded and compared. Results Endoscopic closure of the colon perforation was technically successful in all 3 pigs. The body temperature and blood leukocyte count of these pigs were both lower than those of the control.Necropsy showed that the perforation in control pig was not completely closed and with multiple adhesions around.Perforation complete closure and pathological healing without adhesion were observed in 2 pigs with clip closure only, while adhesion and incomplete pathological healing was detected in the other one with clip closure plus fibrinogen injection (P<0.05).Conclusion Endoscopic intraluminal closure of a 2 cm colon perforation with metal clips is feasible and safe, while further study is needed to evaluate the effect of combined local fibrinogen injection.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the value of technetium-99m methoxyisobutylisonitrile ((99)Tc(m)-MIBI) imaging in predicting the efficacy of neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NCT) and prognosis in patients with operable breast cancer.
METHODSSixty five patients with breast cancer underwent (99)Tc(m)-MIBI scintimammography before NCT, and static planar images were taken at 10 min and 180 min after scintimammography. The clearance rate was calculated in each patient, correlation between the clearance rate and efficacy of NCT, and the disease free survival rate were analyzed.
RESULTSThe mean clearance rate of 65 patients was (17.4 ± 6.8)%. The efficacy of NCT was 86.2% (CR 4 cases, PR 52 cases, SD 8 cases, and PD 1 case), and the mean clearance rate of patients with good response or poor response of chemotherapy were (15.5 ± 5.0)% and (29.2 ± 3.2)%, respectively. There was a significant difference between the two groups. The average disease free survival rate in the group with low clearance rate was (75.8%, P = 0.046), significantly higher than that in the group with high clearance rate (53.1%).
CONCLUSIONScintimammography of (99)Tc(m)-MIBI may be used to evaluate the efficacy and prognosis of NCT for patients with operable breast cancer.
