OBJECTIVETo compare the efficacy between eccentric fixation and internal fixation for treatment of intertrochanteric fractures of femur,to provide a theoretical basis for the selection of the treatment method of the intertrochanteric fractures of femur.
METHODSFrom February 2007 to January 2010,82 patients with femoral intertrochanteric fracture were treated by internal fixation including 39 cases of eccentric fixation involving 23 males and 6 females, aged from 41 to 81 years old with an average of (62.68±10.69), using the DHS or proximal femoral locking plate; 43 cases of intramedullary fixation involving 15 males, 28 females, aged from 43 to 78 years old with an average of (62.60±8.37),using PFN or PFNA fixed. The surgical incision length, operative time, blood loss and postoperative Harris score between two groups were compared.
RESULTSThe wound of two groups were primary healing without operative complications. All cases received follow-up for an average time of 18.3 months (12 to 28 months). The incision length, operative time and blood loss had a statistically significant difference between two groups (P<0.05). Harris scores of hip joint function at 1 month after operation had statistically significant difference between two groups (P<0.05), and Harris scores at 12 months after operation had no statistical significance difference between two groups. The rate of excellent and good was 89.7% in eccentric fixation group and 90.7% in intramedullary fixation group, the difference was not statistically significant (t=0.0613, P>0.05). In eccentric fixation group, there was 1 case of fracture nonunion with DHS loose and ensuing hip varus deformity. In intramedullary nail fixation group, there was no anti-rotation out, distal intramedullary nail of femoral refracture occurred in 1 case.
CONCLUSIONTwo treatment methods for the treatment of femoral fractures had a good therapeutic effect, but the intramedullary fixation had shorter operative time and less blood loss than the eccentric fixation,it prior to apply to osteoporosis and unstable femoral intertrochanteric fractures.

Chinese Medical Ethics 2017;30(2):216-219
Objective:To investigate the status of professional identity among student nurses and explore its influential factors. Methods:A total of 1,302 student nurses from 3 universities of different levels in Shaanxi Province were selected using stratified and cluster random sampling method and investigated by adopting Professional Identity Questionnaire for Nurse Students (PIQNS).Results:Student nurses in Shaanxi Province scored (57.56 ± 12.55) in professional identity,of which the lowest was independence of career choice in the 5 dimensions. It showed that educational status, gender, and the reasons to choose nursing specialty correlated to student nurses' professional identity (P <0.05).Conclusions:The professional identity of student nurses especially for the undergraduate nurses is not high, which should cause the attention of the nursing educators and nursing managers to stabilize nursing team.

Objective To explore effect of probiotics on improving the feeding intolerance in very low birth weight infants(VLBWI). Methods Sixty cases of VLBWI were randomly divided into two groups, 30 infants as therapy group, another 30 infants as control group. All infants in two groups were given aggressive intravenous nutrition and enteral feeding with preterm formulars. At the same time, probiotics were administered combined with preterm formulars to infants in therapy group. Milk amount, gastric residual, initial time of enteral feeding, time required for full enteral feeding and body weight on day 21 after birth were all recorded. Results Rate of no gastric residual increased significantly in therapy group compared with that of control group(t=6.24 P

Isoliquiritigenin (ISL) is an active chalcone compound isolated from licorice. It possesses anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidative activities. In our previous study, we uncovered a great potential of ISL in treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Therefore, this study aims to reveal the mechanism underlying the alleviatory effects of ISL on T2DM-induced glycolipid metabolism disorder. High-fat-high-sugar diet (HFD) combined with intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin (STZ) were used to establish T2DM mice model. All animal experiments were carried out with approval of the Committee of Ethics at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. HepG2 cells were used in

Isoliquiritigenin (ISL) is a flavonoid compound isolated from licorice. It possesses excellent antioxidant and anti-diabetic activities. This study aims to investigate the molecular mechanism underlying the alleviatory effect of ISL on energy metabolism imbalance caused by type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). 8-week-old male C57BL/6J mice were used in

Objective:To obtain purified recombinant Litopenaeus vannamei allergen protein Lit v 1.2.Methods: The target gene of Lit v 1.2 was inserted into clone vector pGEM-T and then ligated to the expression vector pET 44a.The pET44a-Liv 1.2 was transformed into Rosetta and screened by ampicillin resistance .The recombinant protein was expressed by IPTG induction .The protein was purified by 6-His tag affinity chromatography and the purification was analyzed by SDS-PAGE gel electrophoresis .Results:The ex-pression plasmid pET44a-Lit v 1.2 was constructed.SDS-PAGE showed that expressed Lit v 1.2 was efficient and soluble in E.coli Rosetta. The protein molecular weight was consistent with the theoretical value .The highly purified target protein was obtained. Conclusion:In this study ,we successfully gained highly purified recombinant allergen protein Lit v 1.2 which was expressed in prokaryotic system and purified by affinity chromatography column .The purified Lit v 1.2 protein will facilitate us to further study its role in immunological responses .
