Lysimachiae Herba and Desmodii Styracifolii Herba are common traditional Chinese medicines for treating lithiasis. Both of them have efficacies of clearing heat, diuresis and eliminating calculi. However, there are some differences in their clinic applications. The former is mainly used to treat hepatolithiasis, gallstones, jaundice, stranguria and gout; Whereas the latter is mainly used to treat urinary calculus. In this paper, the pharmacological effects of Lysimachiae Herba and Desmodii Styracifolii Herba on removing calculus, choleresis, anti-inflammation and oxidation resistance were compared and analyzed based on document retrieval. In conclusion, both of them show the preventive and therapeutic effects on kidney stones and gallstones. Particularly, Desmodii Styracifolii Herba has a better effect in treating the kidney stones, while Lysimachiae Herba has a better effect in treating cholesterol gallstones.

Objective To evaluate diagnostic values of thirteen single and combined serum tumor markers in the diagnosis of lung cancer in Chinese people.Methods Chinese databases were searched systematically for prospective studies of serum tumor markers in Chinese patients with lung cancer and standard statistical methods for meta-analysis were applied.Results Thirty articles were selected containing thirteen types of molecular tumor markers and 4 393 people.The optimal serum marker was CEA+CA125+CYFRA21-1 with the combined sensitivity,specificity,positive likelihood ratio,negative likeli-hood ratio,the diagnostic odds ratio and the area under the summary receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC)was 87%[95% confidence interval (CI)0.81~0.91],93%(95% CI 0.89~0.95),11.8 (95% CI 7.84~17.7),0.15 (95% CI 0.10~0.21),81.3(95% CI 44.4~149.0)and 0.910,respectively.Conclusion There was improved diagnostic performance in combined markers than other individuals.Serum tumor marker CEA+CA125+CYFRA21-1 is the optimal biomarker for the diagnosis of lung cancer.

Objective To investigate the concentrated liquid doses ,oscillation intensity and cracking boiling time to the influence of pre‐treatment HBV‐DNA .Methods The concentrate doses was 90 ,95 ,105 ,110 μL respectively ;mixing methods :vortex mixing 15 seconds group and 30 seconds group ,56 ℃ preheated 120 seconds and then vortex mix 15 seconds group ,56 ℃ preheated 180 seconds and then swirl mix 15 seconds group ;cracking boiling time was 6 ,8 min ,under 12 min ,14 min respectively .Under the a‐bove conditions ,80 samples prepared by the laboratory were measured ,comparing with standard operating ,concentrate 100μL ,beat mix 15 seconds ,cracking boiling 10 min ,which HBV‐DNA concentration was 103 -104 IU/mL .Results Vortex mixing 15 s group and 56 ℃ preheat 180 s then swirl mixing 15 s were both a significant difference(P<0 .05) in the mix mode groups ,comparing with the standard operating group .There were significant differences between the groups boiling lysis time of 6 min and 10 min group ( P<0 .05) .Conclusion Within a certain range ,changing the dose of the concentrated solution ,mixing mode and the time of boiling lysis in extraction process of HBV‐DNA does not affect the test results ,But mixing ways after a certain period preheating make it easier to mix precipitation and release nucleic acid .

Objective To investigate the types and frequency of gene mutations of β‐thalassemia in south of Sichuan area ,so as to provide basis for β‐thalassemia prevention plan and to help drop β‐thalassemia incidence effectively .Methods Polymerase chain reaction(PCR)and reverse dot blot(RDB)techniques were employed to perform diagnostic analysis for β‐thalassemia genes in sus‐pected thalassemia patient in south of Sichuan region.Results The detection rate of β‐thalassemia was 60 .1% among 319 cases ;9 genes mutation types was found among 17β‐thalassemia genes mutation types .Three types of gene mutations had highest frequency of occurrence ,followed by CD17 41 .3% ,CD41‐42 27 .39% ,IVS‐Ⅱ‐654 24 .35% .Conclusion The gene mutation rate of β‐thalasse‐mia are higher in south of Sichuan region .In order to prevent the birth of children with intermedial and major thalassemia ,the sig‐nificance is important to strengthen hematology screenings and genetic diagnosis for β‐thalassemia.

Objective To observe the effects of one kind of angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor (ACE1) drugs fosinopril (FOS) on transforming growth factor β1 (TGF-β1)and β1- integrin( Itg-31 ) expression in rat glomerular mesangial cells (GMC)induced by lipopolysacchatide (LPS).Methods We established the cultured glomerular mesangial cells of rat in vitro and passages 3 ～ 10 of cells were used in the experiment after identification.The experiment included the following groups:Control group,LPS induced group (LPS group) and FOS intervened group.According to the different concentrations of FOS,FOS intervened group was divided into high,middle and low dose FOS groups,which were FOS1 group,FOS2 group and FOS3 group respectively.The changes of TGF-β1 protein secretion was detected by the enzyme-linked immunosorbent-assay; The changes of TGF-β1 and Itg-β1 mRNA expression was detected by quantitative real-time RT-PCR.Results (1) TGF-β1protein secretion in rat GMC at 6h,12h,24h three time points:They were 958.55 ± 34.67 ( ng/L),1052.05 ±48.59( ng/L),1166.06 + 35.39 (ng/L) respectively in Control group.They were 1342.12 + 39.87 ( ng/L),1432.31 + 39.33 (ng/L) and 1 537.77 + 43.79 (ng/L) respectively in LPS group,which were higher significantly than those in Control group ( all P ＜ 0.01 ).They were 779.58 ± 48.64 ( ng/L),878.33 ± 29.50 (ng/L) and 962.57 ±31.94( ng/L) in FOS1 group,989.311±73.56(ng/L),1073.29±66.89(ng/L) and 1210.75 ±61.68(ng/L) in FOS2 group,1 253.78 ±45.32( ng/L),1 348.18 ±45.81 (ng/L) and 1450.06 ±46.24( ng/L) in FOS3 group respectively,which were lower significantly in all FOS intervened groups than that in LPS group (all P＜O.01).(2)TGF-β1 mRNA expressions in rat GMC at6h,12h,24h three time points were higher significantly than that in Control group.TGF-β1 mRNA expressions were lower significantly in all FOS intervened groups than that in LPS group.( 3 ) Itg-β1 mRNA expressiones in rat GMC at 6h,12h,24h three time points were higher significantly than that in Control group.Itg-β1 expressions were lower significantly in all FOS intervened groups than that in LPS group.Conclusions LPS can induce the increase of TGF-β1 secretion and mRNA expression.FOS can inhibit the TGF-β1 secrection and mRNA expession in GMC as dose-dependent manner,at the same time down regulated the Itg-β1 mRNA expression iuduced by LPS.All above supply the theoretical evidence for the renal protection of FOS by non-hemodynamics mechanism.

Objective To investigate the female infection situation of human papilloma virus (HPV) and the distribution charac-teristics of HPV gene subtypes in the hospital ,so as to provide a theoretical basis for clinical prevention and treatment of HPV cer-vical infection and the study for developing the preventive HPV vaccine suitable for this hospital .Methods The PCR-reverse dot blot hybridization (PCR-RDB) was adopted to check the genotypes of HPV on the cervical samples in 625 gynecologic outpatients and inpatients .Results Among 625 cases ,210 cases were infected by HPV with the total HPV infection rate of 33 .6% .The single subtype infection was in 152 cases ,accounting for 72 .38% ,the mixed infection by more than or equal to 2 kinds of subtype was in 58 cases ,accounting for 27 .62% .The subtypes with the higher infection rate from high to low were HPV 58(7 .52% ) ,HPV16 (6 .72% ) ,HPV6(5 .76% ) ,HPV43(4 .80% ) ,HPV11(4 .64% ) ,HPV35(3 .36% ) ,HPV56(2 .56% ) ,HPV18(2 .40% ) ,HPV52 (2 .40% ) and HPV68(2 .40% ) .Conclusion The HPV infection rate in the gynecologic outpatients and inpatients in the hospital is high ,the subtype distribution is wider and is dominated by the high risk HPV infection .The most common subtype is HPV58 and multiple HPV infection rate is high .

Objective No uniform standards has been established for the clinical diagnosis of schizophrenia .The article was to investigate the differentially expressed microRNA ( miRNA) profile and explore its clinical significance . Methods Differentially expressed miRNAs were screened by FlashTag TM Biotin RNA chips and SAM software in serum of patients with schizophrenia and healthy controls , then the validation was performed by real-time fluorescent quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction ( RT-PCR) . Results Three differentially expressed miRNAs were screened , including up-regulated hsa-miR-1281 ( fold change =1.50881) and two down-regulated miRNAs:hsa-miR-2861(fold change=0.642) and hsa-miR-638 (fold change=0.516).The com-parative analysis of RT-PCR by SPSS 17.0 Kruskal Wallis H Test validated the expression levels of hsa-miR-2861 and hsa-miR-638 in patients with schizophrenia decreased significantly in comparison to healthy controls (χ2 =4.089,χ2 =4.083, P<0.001).While the expression level of hsa-miR-1281 in patients with schizophrenia was in higher expression level compared with control group (χ2 =5.333, P<0.001). Conclusion There are differentially expressed miRNA profile in serum of patients with schizophrenia , in which miR-1281 , miR-2861 and miR-638 could be new serum markers for diagnosis of schizophrenia .

Objective To investigate the value of high-dose dobutamine stress echocardiography combined with two-dimensional strain imaging in early diagnosis of coronary artery disease. Methods Highdose dobutamine stress echocardiography was performed to 28 patients with suspected coronary artery disease. All wall movements were observed during resting condition and at all stress levels,respectively;the peak systolic longitudinal strain in each endomyocardial segment of left ventricular was measured; the sensitivity and specificity between visual method and two-dimensional strain imaging in diagnosing myocardial ischemia with high-dose dobutamine stress echocardiography were compared. The average peak systolic longitudinal strain was calculated against control group, coronary artery disease group during ischemia segments and non-ischemia segments, and a comparison was made inside each group as well as against the other groups. The area under receiver operating characteristic curve of the peak systolic longitudinal strain was used to predict the sensitivity and the specificity of myocardial ischemia. Results With dobutamine dose of 40 μg·kg-1 · min-1 ,wall motion abnormalities were diagnosed in 6 patients (20 segments) through visual method, myocardial ischemia was found in 15 patients (148 segments) through computing the peak systolic longitudinal strain. Inside the coronary artery disease group during ischemic　segments,the majority of peak systolic longitudinal strain was significantly reduced ( P＜0.05) compared to the non-ischemic segments and the control group. In diagnosing myocardial ischemia in high-dose dobutamine stress echocardiography, the sensitivity of visual method and two-dimensional strain imaging were 35.3％ and 88.2％(P＜0.01), specificity 100％ and 100％(P＞0.05), and accuracy 60.7％ and 92.8％ (P＜0.01). The cutoff value of the peak systolic longitudinal strain was less than or equal to 14.9％, its sensitivity and specificity in predicting myocardial ischemia were 83.3％ and 91.7％,respectively. Conclusions High-dose dobutamine stress echocardiography combined with two-dimensional strain imaging can increase the sensitivity of detecting myocardial ischemia and detect concealed myocardial ischemia. High-dose dobutamine stress echocardiography combined with two-dimensional strain imaging can be used in early diagnosis of coronary artery disease.

ObjectiveTo find out the effect of improving cooking stove to reduce fluoride in burning coal fluorosis areas in Ankang city Shaanxi province,and to provide a basis for continuing the consolidation of control measures and the elimination of the hazards of burning coal fluorosis.Methods According to the results of a census of 2001 in Ankang city on burning coal fluorosis,cluster sampling method was used in 2009,and 10％ of the diseased villages were included in the study according to the state of the disease(mild,moderate and severe) in seven counties.In each selected village 10 households were selected,and the quality of improved stoves was checked door to door,maintenance and satisfaction of the stoves were asked on the spot,and health education questionnaire was carried out among housewives.Thirty village primary schools were investigated,dental fluorosis of children aged 8 to 12 was checked by Dean method,urinary fluoride was tested by ion selective electrode,health education and knowledge questionnaire survey was curried out.Results A total of 1000 households were investigated in the seven diseased counties,and the completion rate of improved stoves was 90.00％ (900/1000);the rate of improved stoves in good condition was 87.14％ (630/723); overall use of improved stoves was 80.33％(723/900); proper use of improved stoves was 79.39％ (574/723),satisfaction rate of improved stoves was 86.89％(782/900),and self-maintenance of improved stoves was 8.00％(72/900).Total detection rate of dental fluorosis of children aged 8 to 12 was 23.74％(509/2144),dental fluorosis index was 0.50.Awareness of prevention knowledge among housewives and students was 65.20％ (2608/4000) and 83.36％(4518/5420),respectively.A total of 358 urine samples of children aged 8 to 12 were tested,urine fluoride ranged 0.16 - 6.35 mg/L,and geometric mean 0.79 mg/L.Conclusions The implementation of defluoridation project by improving cooking stove has achieved the goal of prevention and treatment of fluoride poisoning in burning coal fluorosis areas of Ankang city.Local residents are satisfied with the improved stoves,and most of the improved stoves are used constantly.The detection rate of dental fluorosis is less than 30％ of the control line.Some furnace are damaged,correct usage rate is not high.There is a need to further strengthen the management of the project and strengthen health education interventions to improve stove maintenance outlets,and make sustained control of the disease.
