Objective To study the clinical significance of sernm CA153,CA125 and CEA test in breast cancer.Methods The levels of CA153,CA125,carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA)and ferritin were measured in 60 patients with breast cancer(breast cancer group),36 patients with benign breast diseases(benign breast diseases group)and 40 healthy people(control group)by chemiluminometry.The four indices were compared and analyzed for their complementary diagnostic value to breast cancer.Results The levels of CA153,CA125,CEA,SF[(52.8±21.3)u/ml,(44.2±20.1)ng/ml,(8.9±5.2)ng/ml,(350.5±113.8)ng/ml]in breast cancer group were significantly higher than that of benign breast disease group[(17.3±8.8)u/ml,(15.6±8.5)u/ml,(2.0±0.8)u/ml,(1220.7±46.91)ng/ml](t=2.671,t=2.684,t=2.898,t=2.844,P＜0.01);The levels of CA153,CA125,CEA and SF pretreatment in breast cancer group were significantly higher than that after treatment[(25.5±3.7)u/ml,(15.0±8.4)u/ml,(4.6±3.3)ng/ml,(98.5±58.6)ng/ml](t=2.210,t=2.165,t=2.224,t=2.234,P＜0.05);The positive rate of 53.3%in breast cancer group for CA153+CA125+CEA+SF were lower than that CA153(56.7%),CA125(58.3%),CEA(63.3%),SF(68.3%)(χ~2=2.52,χ~2=2.652,P＞0.05;χ~2=3.85,χ~2=3.90,χ~2=3.98,P＜0.05);joint determination of CA153+CEA+SF experimental efficient 89.0%higher than the other four groups of the joint determination,but had no signiflcanle(χ~2=2.78,χ~2=3.10,χ~2=2.99,χ~2=3.01,P＞0.05).Conclusion The positive rate may be increased by combining test of serum CA153,CA125,CEA and ferritin in breast cancer.Thus the combined test might be of high value for the early diagnosis,improving the therapeutic effect and prognosis of breast cancer.

The risk factors of Clostridium difficile infections increased in recent years , such as the underlying disease, hospitalization duration, age, the use of antibiotics, the use of proton pump inhibitors and so on.The rate of Clostridium difficile infection and recurrence are still high despite the appear of new antibiotics such as rifaximin, nitazoxanide, tigecycline, ramoplanin, fidaxomicin, and non-antimicrobial such as drugs toxin neutralizer chamber , biological therapeutic agents , fecal transplantation , systemic antibody method , intravenous immunoglobulin and so on.The vaccine is the most ideal way of prevention and treatment of Clostridium difficile infection.The research in Clostridium difficile vaccine lasted for nearly 20 years.Except the monoclonal antibody vaccine and toxoid vaccine against toxin A and toxin B have achieved better results in the human , some recombinant vaccines against the toxin receptor and the key pathogenic factor of Clostridium difficile also achieved good effect in animal.

Homeobox(HOX) gene is a kind of regulatory gene,which can regulate the embryonic development and cell differentiation,and participate in the regulation and control of hematopoietic stem/progenitor cell proliferation,differentiation and maturation,etc.Cluster A in HOX gene family is the master gene for proliferation and differentiation of hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells,which has an influence on the number of hematopoietic stem cells and the differentiation of hematopoietic stem cell into erythroid,myeloid,megakaryocytic and lymphatic system,and has a relationship with the generation of leukemia.In this article,study progress of Cluster A in HOX gene family and its relationship with leukemia were briefly stated.

Objective To synthesize an inhibitory peptide against serine protease of hepatitis C virus(HCV)and explore its inhibition ability in vitro. Methods Based on the sequence characteristics of four natural substrates of protease in HCV,the gene sequence of an inhibitory peptide against HCV serine protease was designed and directly synthesized by PCR. The segment was subcloned into prokaryotic expression vector pBVIL1,resulting in the construction of the recombinant plasmid pBVIL1/IP,which was then transformed into E. coli HB101 strain. Purified by ion exchange chromatography,the expressed protein was added into an in vitro system,which was comprised of the inhibitory peptide(expressed protein),protease and the substrate,i.e. a NS5A-B fragment,in phosphate buffer. Then SDS-PAGE was performed to test the inhibition effect of the polypeptide. Results The recombinant expression vector pBVIL1/IP containing target gene was successfully constructed. The peptide expressed as inclusion boay was identified by SDS-PAGE. The degradation of protease substrate NS5A-B fragment is inhibited proportionally with the increasing concentrations of the peptide. Conclusion The recombinant peptide shows inhibitory effect on HCV protease in vitro.

Objective To investigate the effects of soy bean isoflavone(SI)on the expression of VEGF,nitric oxide synthase(NOS)subtype,endothelial NOS(eNOS)and inducible NOS(iNOS)mRNA in ovaries during perimenopause period in rats.Methods A rat model of perimenopause was reproduced by enforced ageing.42 female Wistar rats of 12 months old were randomly divided into five groups:aging model group,low,middle,high doses of SI groups,and nilestriol(NI)group.10 female rats of 3 months old served as control group.The animals in low(50mg/kg),middle(158mg/kg)and high(500mg/kg)dosage of SI groups,and in NI group(0.158mg/kg)were gavaged with corresponding drugs for 8 weeks.The expressions of VEGF and NOS mRNA in ovaries were detected by RT-PCR.The total NOS activity in serum and ovaries was detected by chromatometry.Results Compared with control group,the expressions of VEGF mRNA in ovaries of perimenopause rats increased significantly(P

BACKGROUND: Research shows that the auditory brainstem response (ABR) wave amplitude of tinnitus patients often act as big Ⅲ small Ⅴ.Tinnitus masking is a therapy of tinnitus, then how dose the ABR change in the process of tinnitus masking?OBJECTIVE: To observe the changing characteristics of ABR in patients with tinnitus as well as the changing rules of ABR after tinnitus masking.DESIGN: Case-control and self-control.SETTING: Department of Otorhinolaryngology, First Hospital of Jilin University.PARTICIPANTS: Continuous tinnitus group: 63 cases (68 ears) were selected from the Clinic of First Hospital of Jilin University from March 1999to October 2001. Control group: 10 cases (20 ears) of normal hearing youth (20-23 years old). All subjects received the examination and treatment voluntarily.METHODS: The ABR was firstly detected in tinnitus patients (foreheadmastoid conducting method was adopted), and examination of tinnitus as well as tinnitus masking test (masking for 5 minutes) were respectively conducted, immediately after that, the ABR was detected to do control-observation with the control group.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: ①The characteristics of ABR in patients with tinnitus. ②Effects of tinnitus masking on the amplitude wave of ABR, which was divided into positive group in residual inhibition test and negative group in residual inhibition test for analyzing.RESULTS: A total of 83 subjects were involved in the analysis of results.①The amplitude wave of ABR in youth of normal hearing were small Ⅲ big Ⅴ, whereas that in 22 ears (32.4％) out of 63 subjects (68 ears) were big Ⅲ smallⅤ, in which 17 ears were of patients positive residual inhibition test, and 5 were of negative.②After tinnitus masking therapy, 10 ears out of 17 ears of patients positive in residual inhibition test turned from big Ⅲ small Ⅴ to small Ⅲ big Ⅴ, and the wave amplitude of Ⅲ wasre duced in 3 ears, while the ABR in 2 ears out of 5 ears of negative patients turned to small Ⅲ bigⅤ, and there were no changes in other 3 ears.CONCLUSION: Tinnitus masking therapy can convert the abnormal ABR wave amplitude in patients with tinnitus to normal, which will be taken as the objective index in judging whether it is positive in residual inhibition test.

OBJECTIVE: To study the chemical constituents and quality standard of Girardinia diversifolia (Link) Friis. METHODS: The compounds were isolated by silica gel column chromatography and thin layer chromatography. Their structures were identified by physicochemical properties and various spectroscopic methods including NMR, MS, and UV, etc. Scopoletin in this preparation was identified by TLC. Its content was determined by HPLC. The separation of scopoletin was performed on a Shimadzu C18 column (4.6 mm × 250 mm, 5 μm). The mobile phase consisted of acetonitrile (A)-0.2% phosphoric acid(B): 0-5 min, A-B (25: 75) →A-B(20: 80); 5-10 min, A-B(20: 80)→A-B(15: 85); 10-18 min, A-B(15: 85); 18-19 min, A-B(50: 50); 19-25 min, A-B (25: 75), with the flow rate of 1.0 mL · min-1, the UV detection wavelength was 298 nm, and column temperature was 30°C. RESULTS: Three compounds were isolated and identified as scopoletin (1), kaempferol (2), and β-sitosterol. They showed obvious characteristics in TLC identification. Good linearity was obtained over the range of 0.022-0.352jxg (r =0.999 9) for scopoletin. The average recovery (n=6) was 92.93% (RSD = 1.86%). CONCLUSION: Compounds 1-2 were isolated from the Girardinia diversifolia (Link) Friis for the first time. The qualitative and quantitative analysis methods are accurate and suitable for effective quality control of Girardinia diversifolia (Link) Friis.

Objective To investigate the CT features of mesenteric lymph nodes in patients with active Crohn’s disease.Methods The CT findings in 54 patients with active Crohn's disease proved by histology were analyzed,and the anatomic distribution,size, number,shape and enhancement ratio (ER)of the mesenteric lymph node were assessed.Results Mesenteric lymphadenopathy in 38 patients (70.4%)was found with a total number of 242,83.5%(202/242)of whom were located at the mesenteric root and 16.5%(40/242) at mesenteric edge.The size of the lymph nodes at the mesenteric root was larger than that at the mesenteric edge (8.57 mm±2.26 mm versus 5.38 mm±0.1 9 mm,the mean maximum short diameter),and 73.6% (1 78/242 )of the lymph nodes were oval in shape.The lymph nodes showed significant enhancement after contrast injection with an ER of 0.53 ±0.09.Conclusion Active CD often leads to mesenteric lymphadenopathy,which is more obvious at the mesenteric root.

Objective To evaluate the clinical value between peritoneal lavage cytology (PLC) and prognosis of gastric cancer. Methods The peritoneal lavage fluid of 60 gastric cancer patients and 12 noncancer patients were collected,different methods were used to examine the exfoliated cancer cells,and relationships between positive results and relative clinico-pathological parameters were evaluated.Results The positive rate of PLC was 31.8%,and was positively correlated with the degree of histologic differentiation of gastric cancer (P0.05). Objective To evaluate guglidnai detachable ceil(GDC)embolization therapy in treatment of acnte stage ruptured aneurysms.Methods 86 patients were involved in our study,we treat aneurysms with different intravascular therapy techniques,anti-artery-spasm treatment and lumber centesis were performed after therapy.Resuits 72 patients received 100% embolization,10 patients received 95% embolization,4 patients received 90% embolization,no patient died due to therapy in follow-up,further function recover was found.Conclusion Acute stage intravascular therapy combined with comprehensive measures can effectively improve the outcome of patients with ruptured aneurysms.
