Journal of Environment and Health 1989;0(06):-
Objective To discuss the relation between influenza peak, temperature and relative humidity. Methods Statistical analysis on the data of influenza consultation rates, temperature and relative humidity from 1998 to 2002 in Hong Kong area was carried out to propose some relation between influenza peak, temperature and relative humidity. Results It was slightly possible to cause influenza peak when the week-averaged temperature was less than 20 ℃ and largely possible to cause influenza peak when the week-averaged temperature was less than 15 ℃. It was also largely possible to cause influenza peak when the week-averaged temperature was very low and the relative humidity was higher which resulted the lower body-sense temperature compared with the forecasting temperature. Conclusion The prevalence of influenza occurs during four seasons in one year in Hong Kong, but the prevalence peak of influenza mainly appears under the condition of lower temperature(

Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma 2021;30(2):78-81
Objective:To investigate the clinical characteristics and prognosis of secondary hemophagocytic syndrome (HPS) in adults. Methods:The clinical data of 43 adult patients with primary secondary HPS in Mianyang Central Hospital of Sichuan Province from January 2014 to June 2020 were retrospectively analyzed. The patient's clinical manifestations and biochemical indicators were summarized. The clinical characteristics of patients between high-level ferritin (≥5 000 μg/L) group and low-level ferritin (<5 000 μg/L) group, lymphoma-related HPS group and infection-related HPS group were compared. Logistic regression model was used for multivariate survival analysis. Results:All patients had fever as the main complaint, and infections were manifested at the onset or during treatment. In all patients, 88.4% (38/43) had hemophagocytosis in the bone marrow; 88.4% (38/43) had varying degrees of cytopenia; 36.6% (15/41) had reduced fibrinogen [median value 0.93 g/L (0.50-1.35 g/L)]; 76.7% (33/43) had elevated aminotransferase. Compared with the low-level ferritin group (19 cases), the high-level group (21 cases) had a lower proportion of monocytes (0.081±0.040 vs. 0.163±0.076, P = 0.016), the incidence of fibrinogen reduction and the incidence of aminotransferase elevation were high [60.0% (12/20) vs. 11.1% (2/18), P = 0.002; 95.2% (20/21) vs. 52.6% (10/19), P = 0.006]. Compared with infection-related HPS patients, lymphoma-related HPS patients had a higher incidence of lymphadenopathy [72.7% (16/22) vs. 27.8% (5/18), χ2 = 8.021, P = 0.005] and a lower incidence of aminotransferase elevation [59.1% (13/22) vs. 94.4% (17/18), χ2 = 4.848, P = 0.028]. Multivariate analysis showed that the high proportion of neutrophils ( OR = 0.886, 95% CI 0.786-0.998, P = 0.046) and high-level albumin ( OR = 0.376, 95% CI 0.156-0.907, P = 0.030) after treatment were protective factors for survival of patients. Conclusions:Among adult patients with primary secondary HPS, the proportion of monocytes in patients with ferritin ≥5 000 μg/L is low, and liver damage and fibrinogen reduction are more likely to occur. Lymphoma-related HPS patients are more likely to have lymphadenopathy, and infection-related HPS patients are more likely to have liver damage. After treatment, a low proportion of neutrophils and hypoproteinemia indicate a poor prognosis in adult patients with secondary HPS.

China Biotechnology 2006;0(12):-
Lipase gene from Penicillium expansum(lip07) was cloned and over-expressed in Pichia pastoris.a random mutant named ep8,which contained a single amino acid substitution, was obtained by using the lip07 as an error-prone PCR template in previous study.ep8 shows higher thermostability than that of lip07,To further improve the thermostability of the lipase, the Lys of wild-type(lip07) and mutant(ep8) in 202 were substituted by Ala using the Overlap extension PCR technique respectively. The mutant genes(lip07-K202A and ep8-K202A) were subcloned into pAO815,and then transformed into the Pichia pastoris GS115 for extracelluar expression,respectively.15% SDS-PAGE analysis indicated that the molecular mass of PEL-ep8-K202A and PEL-lip07-K202A are both about 28kDa,which is same with the wild-type lipase. The Tm of PEL-ep8-K202A is 41.66℃,2.63℃ higher than that of the wild-type(39.03℃) and 1.21℃ higher than the random mutant(PEL-ep8:40.45℃);the Tm of single mutant(PEL-lip07-K202A) is 37.08℃,2℃ lower than that of the wild-type lipase.

OBJECTIVETo study the transferrable character of Acinetobacter baumannii (AB) plasmids with 3 types of beta-lactamase gene.
METHODSThe plasmid of multi-drug resistant AB (donor) isolated from burn wound were transferred to E. coil ATCC25922 (receptor) through conjugation, and drug sensitivity was also observed. Drug-resistant gene and stability of filial generation and zygote were analyzed by PCR.
RESULTSThe drug-resistance of donor plasmids to Sulfamethoxazole, Ampicillin, Cefalotin, Cefpodoxime, Cefuroxime, Imipenem/Cilastatin and Ampicillin/Sulbactam, and three types of beta-lactamase gene were transferred to the receptor, and were also stably transmitted for passages. The minimum inhibitor concentration of receptor to Sulfamethoxazole was > 2 mg/L after conjugation with donor, and inhibitory character could be transferred to next generation.
CONCLUSIONbla(TEM-1), bla(PER-1) and bla(OXA-23) genes carried in the plasmid of AB can be transferred through conjugation and stably transmitted for passages, and it is one of the molecular mechanisms for AB with multi-drug resistance after burn infections.

· ATM:To analyze bacterial spectrum and drug sensitivity in conjunctival sac of cataract patients of Kazak.
· METHODS:A total of 538 cases of conjunctival sac secretion in cataract patients of Kazak were collected. The samples were cultured and their sensibilities to antibiotics were tested.
· RESULTS: The bacterial culture was positive in 214 cases. The positive rate was 39.8%. The variety of pathogenic bacteria were mainly made up of gram positive cocci ( 88.3%), and most of them were Staphylococcus epidermidis ( 66.4%), followed by Micrococcus(9.8%).Sex had no effect on conjunctival bacteria rate in the cataract patients of Kazak, while age, place of residence had an effect on camier rate. The camier rate of conjunctival bacteria was significantly higher in people over 60 years old than that in people with age between 40 to 59 years old.And the people from city had a significant lower bacteria positive rate than those from countryside and pastoral. Most of grams were sensitive to Vancomycin, Teicoplanin, Rifampicin, Duly cloth mildew mutual and Amikacin, the tolerance was less than 20%, and they usually had higher tolerance to Penicillin, Erythromycin, Tetracycline and Chloramphenicol (>70%) .
·CONCLUSlON:Gram positivecocci is the most common bacteria in conjunctival sac in cataract patients of Kazak. Staphylococcus epidermidis was most common, followed by Micrococcus. The germ-carrying rate of conjunctival SAC in Kazakh population is associated with the patient’s age and area of residence. The clinical use of antibacterial drugs should be strictly grasp the indications, to reduce the incidence of bacterial resistance.
