Objective To analyze the relationship between pre - pregnancy body mass index ( BMI) ,gestational weight gain ( GWG) and the birth weight of infants, and explore the effect of weight change before and during pregnancy on low birth weight ( LBW) and macrosomia. Methods Women were enrolled by the Chinese Pregnant Women Cohort Study during first trimester. Each respondent's weight before and during pregnancy and the birth weight of infant were collected after fellow up. Prepregnancy BMI was divided into underweight, normal and overweight /obesity groups and GWG was divided into suitable, insufficient and excessive groups. Multivariate Logistic regression was adopted to explore the relationship be- tween pre-pregnancy BMI,GWG and newborn's birth weight. Results Women's prepregnancy BMI and GWG were associated with neonatal birth weight ( all P<0. 05) . Prepregnancy overweight or obesity ( OR=2. 339,95% CI: 1. 674-2. 282,P<0. 001) and excessive GWG ( OR= 1. 398,95% CI: 1. 188-1. 978,P= 0. 048) were shown as risk factors for macrosomia. Insufficient GWG increased LBW risk ( OR = 1. 479, 95% CI: 1. 461-1. 679,P= 0. 035) while excessive GWG declined LBW risk ( OR= 0. 428,95% CI: 0. 225 -0. 817,P= 0. 010) . Under weight-insufficient GWG was risk factor of LBW ( OR= 1. 335,95% CI: 1. 048 -2. 319,P= 0. 048) while normal BMI-excessive GWG ( OR= 1. 088,95% CI: 1. 016-1. 675,P= 0. 038) and overweight /obesity-excessive GWG ( OR= 1. 498,95% CI: 1. 244-2. 017,P= 0. 046) were associated with higher risk of delivering macrosomia. Conclusions Prepregnancy BMI and GWG were associated with infant's birth weight and women were suggested to maintain their weight in recommended range before and during pregnancy.

Objective To analyze the incidence of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) among Chinese pregnant women and the distributions of unhealthy lifestyles. Exploring the association between these behaviors and GDM to provide some suggestions to GDM prevention. Methods Women who were enrolled by the Chinese Pregnant Women Cohort Study and delivered before the 31st December, 2018 were enrolled by this study. The characters of physical activity, sedentary lifestyle, tobacco exposure, alcohol consumption, unhealthy diet and low sleep level were assessed by questionnaire and also the pregnancy complications. Binary Logistic regression model was adopted to analyzed the relationship between the dependent and independent variables. Results A total of 3 162 women were enrolled in this study and 372 of them were diagnosed GDM. Single variable analysis showed that lack of leisure time physical activity (RR=1.015,95% CI=1.005-1.279,P=0.046) and low sleep quality (RR=1.019, 95% CI: 1.004-1.196,P=0.047) were two risk factors of GDM. Compared with women who showed none of these unhealthy lifestyle, those who showed all six unhealthy behaviors had higher risk of GDM (RR=1.530, 95% CI: 1.263-8.880,P=0.036). Conclusions The incidence of GDM among Chinese women was 11.76%. Lack of physical activity and poor sleep quality could increase the risk of GDM and the cluster of unhealthy lifestyles is associated with higher GDM risk. Adequate physical activity, no smoking and drinking, balanced diet and other healthy behaviors are important to GDM prevention.

Objective To explore the associations between cesarean section with different types and intensity of physical activity in the second trimester pregnant women. Methods Six hundred and seventy-two participants from the Chinese pregnant women cohort study ( CPWCS) were analyzed. The pregnancy physical activity questionnaire ( PPAQ) was used to collect the status of physical activities in pregnant women. The participants were followed up and the data of delivery way was collected. Logistic regression model was conducted to analyze the associations. Results A total of 273 pregnant women ( 40. 63%) were delivered by cesarean section. After adjusting age,pre-pregnancy BMI and history of childbirth, results of Logistic regression model showed that pregnant women with higher levels of exercise had a lower risk of cesarean section than those who did not participate in exercise ( OR= 0. 564,95% CI: 0. 338-0. 941) . In terms of physical activity intensity, pregnant women who participated in the higher level of moderate to vigorous physical activity had a lower risk of cesarean section than those who partici- pated in the lower level ( OR= 0.642,95% CI: 0.437-0.972) . Conclusions Exercise and moderate to vigorous physical activity are protective factors for cesarean section. Health education should be further strengthened to encourage pregnant women to carry out appropriate physical activity during pregnancy.

With the extensive application of cellular and molecular genetic techniques in the research of acute leukemia (AL), the diagnosis of AL type has been developed from FAB typing which was based on morphological classification in 1976 to MICM typing in 2001. This progress highlights the importance of cellular and molecular genetic changes in the diagnosis of leukemia. The cellular and molecular genetic abnormalities in acute leukemia can make the stratification of risk and give the guidance for prognosis and treatment, which is also critical for the development of new drugs. This article has focused on chromosomal abnormalities, fusion gene expression and their relationship with the leukemia diagnosis, prognosis and treatment. This article is also a concise review on several common gene mutations in cytogenetics of ANLL for the assessment of disease prognosis. In recent years, further exploration of molecular cytogenetic mechanisms of various types of leukemia in ANLL contributed to the development of new therapeutic strategy for leukemia.

7.A mathematical model for constituent ratios of energy expenditure in human.
Acta Physiologica Sinica 2006;58(2):189-191
In order to assess the constituent ratios of energy expenditure in human, the deductive process of establishing a mathematical model for assessing the constituent ratios of the three major nutrients in energy expenditure in human was described in this paper. Total oxygen consumption, total carbon dioxide output and total nitrogen (urine nitrogen + skin nitrogen) excretion are related to the oxidation of the three major nutrients and the physiological combustion values of the three nutrients are already known. Based on these measurable and known parameters, the mathematical model established by the authors will help understand the characteristics of the tested individual's energy expenditure.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the correlation between redundant prepuce and premature ejaculation.
METHODSFifty-two cases suffering from premature ejaculation and redundant prepuce were treated with circumcision. They were asked to fill the investigating questionnaire about the changes of ejaculatory latent period, patients' and their wives' satisfaction with sexual life before and after the treatment.
RESULTSDuring 12 months after circumcision, 28 cases were cured and 11 cases were efficacious. The curative rate was 54.9% and effective rate was 76.5%. Twelve cases with no responding continued to be treated with routine methods, such as psychotherapy, daub narcotic to glans of penis and taking medicine to treat chronic prostatitis, which were used before circumcision but still no effects. During 18 months after circumcision, 4 cases were cured and 5 cases were efficacious.
CONCLUSIONRedundant prepuce had direct or indirect relationship with premature ejaculation. The circumcision is one of the effective methods to treat premature ejaculation.

Cancer Research and Treatment 2019;51(3):1207-1221
PURPOSE: The study aimed to search and identify genes that were differentially expressed in breast cancer, and their roles in cancer growth and progression. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The Gene Expression Omnibus (Oncomine) and The Cancer Genome Atlas databases (https://cancergenome.nih.gov/) were screened for genes that were expressed differentially in breast cancer and were closely related to a poor prognosis. Gene expressions were verified by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction, and genes were knocked down by a lentivirus-based system. Cell growth and motility were evaluated and in vivo nude mice were used to confirm the in vitro roles of genes. Markers of epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition and the associations of KIF11 with the classical cancer signaling pathways were detected by Western blot. RESULTS: A series of genes expressed differentially in patients with breast cancer. The prognosis associated with high KIF11 expression was poor, and the expression of KIF11 increased significantly in high stage and malignant tumor cells. Inhibiting KIF11 expression in lentivirus-suppressed cells revealed that KIF11 inhibition significantly reduced cell viability and colony formation, inhibited migration and invasion, but promoted apoptosis. The sizes and weights of KIF11-inhibited tumors in nude mice were significantly lower than in the negative controls. Western blot showed that E-cadherin in breast cancer was significantly upregulated in KIF-inhibited cells and tumor tissues, whereas N-cadherin and vimentin were significantly down-regulated. BT549 and MDA231 cells with KIF11 knockdown exhibited decreased ERK, AMPK, AKT, and CREB phosphorylation. CONCLUSION: KIF11 acts as a potential oncogene that regulates the development and progression of breast cancer.

OBJECTIVETo study the roles of macrophage apoptosis, IL-1, and IL-8 in the pathogenesis of rat pulmonary fibrosis induced by silica.
METHODSForty eight male Wistar rats were divided into the 4 control groups (24 rats) and 4 experimental groups (24 rats). Rats in the control groups were treated with 1 ml normal saline by trachea instillation, whereas the rats in experimental groups were exposed 1 ml silica suspension (100 mg/ml) by trachea instillation for 1, 7, 14 and 28 days, respectively. Six rats of each group were sacrificed, then the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid and lung tissues were collected, respectively. Pulmonary inflammation, fibrosis and other pathological changes were detected with H.E. staining. Morphological changes of the early stage apoptosis in macrophages were detected with transmission electron microscope (TEM). The early apoptosis rates of macrophages in BALF were also assessed using Annexin V-FITC/PI kit. The IL-1 and IL-8 levels of serum were measured with the ELISA.
RESULTSThe apoptotic rates (11.48% +/- 0.24%, 16.03% +/- 0.68%, 15.53% +/- 1.07%, 18.92% +/- 2.70%, respectively) of macrophage in the experimental groups increased obviously with time, as compared to the controls (5.47% +/- 2.06%, 6.39% +/- 0.215, 9.07% +/- 0.61% and 8.54% +/- 0.16%, Respectively) (P < 0.05). The IL-1 levels of serum in the experimental groups were 23.64 +/- 0.84, 23.38 +/- 1.10, 22.21 +/- 0.86 and 24.29 +/- 1.31 pg/ml, respectively, which were significantly higher than those (18.52 +/- 1.23, 18.40 +/- 1.6, 17.92 +/- 2.21 and 18.53 +/- 2.64 pg/ml, respectively) in the control groups (P < 0.05) without time-effect relationship. The serum IL-8 levels on the 1st, 7th and 14th days in the experimental groups were 21.32 +/- 1.44, 21.90 +/- 2.08 and 22.00 +/- 2.80 pg/ml, respectively, which were significantly higher than those (17.69 +/- 1.09, 16.98 +/- 2.09 and 17.54 +/- 1.62 pg/ml, respectively) in the control groups (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONThe early macrophage apoptosis and changes of IL-1 and IL-8 may in lungs may play an important role in the development of pulmonary fibrosis induced by silica.
