Objective: To study the effect of 4-6 weeks' treadmill training of male SD rats on the contractile function of their gastrocnemius myosin heavy chain (MHC). Methods: Forty male SD rats were randomly divided into control group and training group. The treadmill training of the training group rats was incessantly performed for 4-6 weeks at an intensity of about 75% VO 2max (18.5-24 m/min, gradient of 0°, each training session lasting 50 minutes, twice a day). The content of gastrocnemius MHC mRNA was tested by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), and the changes of muscle fibre and its cross-section area (CSA) were measured using immunohistochemistry. Electric stimulation tests were used to determine the maximal tension of isometric contraction of the post-training gastrocnemius. Results: Circled digit one After continuous treadmill training for 4-6 weeks, we found that the content of the total MHC, MHC I, MHC II x, MHC II a mRNAs was 105%, 105%, 109% and 108% of that in the resting control group, respectively, and the MHC II b mRNA content did not change significantly. The percentage of MHC I mRNA in the total MHC mRNA increased while that of MHC II mRNA decreased after aerobic training. Circled digit two The slow type of fibre type I was the main part of the MHC after training and the CSA of the muscle fibres increased simultaneously. Circled digit three The maximal tension of isometric contraction by pulse stimulation of square wave in the training group increased significantly compared with that in the control group (P<0.01). Conclusion: The findings indicate that aerobic exercise may promote an increase in the contractile function of MHC.

OBJECTIVETo observe the effects of Xinshuai Mistura (XM) on plasma angiotensin II (Ang II), atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) and N terminal pro- brain natriuretic peptide (Nt-proBNP) in patients with heart failure (HF).

METHODSFifty-nine patients with HF (NYHA class II-IV) were randomly divided into two groups, the treated group treated with XM and the control group with Wuling Pulvis (WP), both on the base of captopril treatment. The treatment course was two weeks. Plasma levels of Ang II , ANP and Nt-proBNP were observed.

RESULTSThe plasma levels of Ang I, ANP and Nt-proBNP showed an ascending tendency along with the increasing in severity of HF(P < 0.01), and significantly decreased after treatment in the treated group (P < 0.01), but with no remarkable difference as compared with those in the control group (P > 0.05).

CONCLUSIONXM had definite therapeutic effects on excessive neuroendocrine activation in HF patients.

Objective:To explore the correlation among plasma levels of fibrinogen (Fg) ,D-dimer (DD) and antithrombin III (ATIII ) and carotid atherosclerosis (CAS) in AMI patients .Methods:A total of 147 AMI patients treated in our de‐partment from Jan 2012 to Dec 2014 were enrolled as AMI group ,another 120 patients without myocardial infarction (MI) were treated as control group .According to ACS severity ,AMI group was further divided into normal group (n=22) ,mild group (n=30) ,moderate group (n=40) and severe group (n=55) .Plasma levels of Fg ,DD and ATIII ,and carotid inti‐ma-media thickness (IMT) were measured and compared among all groups .Results:Compared with control group ,there were significant rise in plasma levels of Fg [ (3.12 ± 0.87) g/L vs .(5.01 ± 1.38) g/L] ,DD [ (317 ± 50)μg/L vs .(1530 ± 218)μg/L] and carotid IMT [(0.86 ± 0.41) mm vs .(1.12 ± 0.29) mm] ,and significant reduction in plasma AT Ⅲ level [ (87 ± 18)% vs .(76 ± 19)% ] in AMI group , P<0.01 all. Compared with normal group ,there were significant rise in plasma levels of Fg and DD ,and significant reduction in plasma ATIII level in moderate group and severe group , P<0.05 or <0.01. Spearman correlation analysis indicated that plasma Fg and DD levels were significant positively correlated with CAS severity (r=0.426 ,0.535 ,P<0.01 both) ,ATIII level was significant inversely correlated with CAS severity in AMI patients ,(r= -0.438 ,P=0.005) .Multi-factor Logistic regression analysis indicated that plasma Fg and DD levels were independent risk factors for MI (OR=2.836 ,2.231 , P<0.01 both) ,and plasma ATIII level was independent protective factor for MI (OR=0.899 , P=0.014 ) .Conclusion:Plasma Fg and DD levels are independent risk factors for MI and plasma ATIII level is independent protective factor for MI .

Chitinases genes from Metarhizium anisopliae which is an important entomopathogenic fungus were considered one of the key factors to invade their hosts. One Metarhizium anisopliae HN1 strain was isolated and screened. A chitinase gene was amplified by RT-PCR from Metarhizium anisopliae HN1, The whole length of this gene was 1275bp,and the nucleotide sequence of the gene was 96% similarity to that of the M. anisopliae E6 accessed in GenBank ( AF02749). The gene has been registered in GenBank and its accession number is DQ011865. The gene was subcloned into prokaryon expression vector pET-22b( + ), transformed this recombinant expression plasmid into E. coli strain BL 21 and effective expressed. The SDS-PAGE analysis indicated that the recombinant protein was 42kDa which is same to the reported article. The expression level of recombinant protein was about 63. 3% of whole expressed proteins , And when recombinant E. coli were crushed by freeze and supersonic wave , the activity assay indicates that the chitinase expressed in bacteria possesses biological activity.

So far there exists no corresponding quality test procedures and grading standards for the seed of Prunus humilis, which is one of the important source of base of semen pruni. Therefor we set up test procedures that are adapt to characteristics of the P. humilis seed through the study of the test of sampling, seed purity, thousand-grain weight, seed moisture, seed viability and germination percentage. 50 cases of seed specimens of P. humilis tested. The related data were analyzed by cluster analysis. Through this research, the seed quality test procedure was developed, and the seed quality grading standard was formulated. The seed quality of each grade should meet the following requirements: for first grade seeds, germination percentage ≥ 68%, thousand-grain weight 383 g, purity ≥ 93%, seed moisture ≤ 5%; for second grade seeds, germination percentage ≥ 26%, thousand-grain weight ≥ 266 g, purity ≥ 73%, seed moisture ≤9%; for third grade seeds, germination percentage ≥ 10%, purity ≥ 50%, thousand-grain weight ≥ 08 g, seed moisture ≤ 13%.
