1.Analysis of 220 Cases of Drug Counseling in Inpatient Pharmacy of Our Hospital

OBJECTIVE:To provide reference for continuous improvement of drug counseling and pharmaceutical care. METH-ODS:220 cases of drug counseling answered by inpatient general pharmacist were collected from our hospital during 2012-2013, and the contents of drug counseling were classified and analyzed. RESULTS:Among consultants,73.18% of them were physi-cians;the type of drug involved mainly were antibiotics,accounting for 42.73%;main contents of drug counseling included drug selection,usage and dosage,accounting for 47.27%. CONCLUSIONS:Pharmacists provide drug counseling for physicians and nurses,answer various questions about usage,and guide rational drug use so as to enhance the communication between pharma-cists and physicians,nurses,and promote rational drug use in the clinic.
2.Analysis of secondary high intraocular pressure after vitreoretinal surgery for proliferative diabetic retinopathy

Objective To explore the correlative factors and management of secondary high intraocular pressure(IOP) after vitreoretinal surgery for proliferative diabetic retinopathy(PDR). Methods The data of 51 patients(54 eyes) with PDR after vitreoretinal surgery were collected.The incidence of secondary high IOP was obtained,and the correlative factors leading to high IOP were analysed.Besides,the therapeutic effects of management were observed. Results Twenty-six patients(26 eyes) experienced postoperative high IOP,with the incidence of 48.15%(26/54).It was revealed that the preoperative retinal detachment,the combined performance of crystal phacoemulsification,the practice of intraocular tamponade and the postoperative posterioruveitis were related to the occurrence of high IOP(P
3.The mechanism of Glutathione in the prevention of ventilator -associated lung injury

Objective To investigate the mechanism of Glutathione in the prevention of ventilator-associated lung injury.Methods 30 mechanical ventilation patients who were healthy before were selected and randomly divided into the two groups.Group A was the high tidal volume group:10mL/kg;group B was used the tidal volume plus the injection of Glutathione(2.4g/d).After 48 hours,we collected lavage fluid and use Coomassie brilliant blue to detect the protein content of alveolar lavage fluid of the two groups.Results There was a significant difference (P<0.01)between the two groups.The protein content in group A[(9.90 ±2.25)g/L]was higher than that of group B [(4.17 ±0.39)g/L],and there was statistically significant (P<0.01).Conclusion Glutathione can reduce the incidence of ventilator-associated lung injury and prevent the occurrence of ventilator-associated lung injury.

The purity of 4,4′-dimethoxy-5,6,5′,6′-bis (methylenedioxy)-2′-morpholine methylenebiphenyl-2-methyl formate methanesulfonate (IMH), a new drug for fatty liver treatment, was determined through differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). OBJECTIVETo study the effect of Guishen Pill (GSP) on expression levels of Oct-4, MVH, and Egr-1 in mice with diminished ovarian reserve (DOR).
METHODSTotally 40 female C57BL/6J mice were randomly divided into 4 groups, the normal control group, the model group, the GSP group, and the dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) group, 10 in each group. Pregnant mare serum gonadotropin (PMSG), human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG), and prostaglandin F2α (PGF2α) were sequentially administrated to produce superovulation. The DOR model was established by exposing to ozone inhalation. Mice in the GSP group were intragastrically administered with GSP at 0.3 mL. Those in the DHEA group were intragastrically administered with DHEA at 0.3 mL. Equal volume of normal saline was intragastrically administered to mice in the normal control group and the model group. All mice wer treated for 21 days. Serum levels of estrogen (E2), progestogen (P), and anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) were measured by ELISA. Changes of Oct-4, anti-AMH, and early growth response gene-1 (Egr-1) mRNA in ovaries were dtected by Real-time PCR.
RESULTSCompared with the model group, serum levels of E2, P, and AMH, as well as contents of estrogen receptor (ER), progestogen receptor (PR), MVH, and Oct-4 mRNA significantly increased in the GSP group and the DHEA group (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONGSP could improve expression levels of Oct-4, MVH, and Egr-1 mRNA in DOR mice and their ovarian function.

10.A comparative study on the effect of fixation for guinea pigs eyeballs among three different fixation solution

· AIM:To compare the effect of fixation and select the optimal fixation solution and condition for PAS staining of guinea pig eyes among three different fixation solution:4% paraformaldehyde solution,4% glutaraldehyde solution and Davidson solution.· METHODS:Totally 30 healthy guinea pigs were divided into 6 groups:Group Ⅰ-Ⅱ were fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde solution and 4% glutaraldehyde solution for 24h,respectively;Group Ⅲ-Ⅴ were fixed in Davidson solution for 3,6 and 24h,respectively;and Group Ⅵ were fixed in Davidson solution for 3h and then transferred into 10% neutral formaldehyde solution for 48h.All groups were sectioned by routine section method and undergone PAS staining,and then observed by light microscope.· RESULTS:It was found that the group which was fixed by Davidson solution for 3h,remained the most complete structure for PAS staining (Group Ⅲ).While the effect of fixation for the group which was transferred into 10% neutral formaldehyde solution for preserving for 48h after fixing in Davidson solution for 3h was also acceptable for PAS staining (Group Ⅵ).The retinal cells remained clear and in order for both groups which was mentioned above.· CONCLUSION:The best fixation condition for PAS staining for eyes of guinea pigs is fixation in Davidson solution for 3h among these fixation conditions,while it is also suitable to transfer the eyes into neutral formaldehyde solution after fixing in Davidson solution for 3h for preserving for long periods,which is not severely reduced the effect of fixation for PAS staining.
