The publication of the scientific theses and their management are significant for the development of technology and science in the hospital.Therefore.they play an important role iU the hospital management.The retrospective analysis on the theses that published in the last 5 years and embodied by SCI was conducted using the statistics method and analyzed the first 10 departments in the published theses in this paper.The specialty of our hospital and the shortcoming in the scientific research was concluded from the analysis result.The amount of the theses increased steadily,and the research capability of the key subjects and key departments were promoted.The amount and the quality of the theses reflected an important indicator of the development strategy that means to develop the hospital through science.technology and education.Therefore,these conclusions could offer some valuable information to the manage department of t}le hospital.

ObjectiveTo investigate the effects of isoflurane anesthesia on hippocampus synaptosomes proteome in aged rats.MethodsTwenty-seven 22- month-old SD rats weighing 480-550 g were randomly divided into 2 groups: control group (group C,n =6) and isoflurane group (group Ⅰ,n =21 ).In group C inhaled mixed gas containing 80％ oxygen for 2 h.In group Ⅰ the animals were endotracheal intubated after induction by 3％ isoflurane and inhaled 2％ isoflurane and 80％ oxygen for 2 h.Cognition function was evaluated by Y-maze at 24 h after anesthesia and the total training times were recorded.The total training times ＞ 75 was defined as cognitive dysfuction.In group Ⅰ the animals were divided into cognitive dysfuction group (group ⅠA) and non-cognitive dysfuction group (group IB) according to the results of Y-maze test.The animals were sacrificed and their hippocampi were removed and synaptosomes were extracted for two-dimensional gel electrophoresis.The different protein spots were analyzed by mass chromatographic analysis.ResultsSix rats had cognitive dysfuction (group IA) and another thirteen rats had no cognitive dysfuction (group IB).The total training times were significantly higher in group IA than in groups C and IB( P ＜ 0.05).There was no significant difference in the total training times between groups C and IB (P ＞ 0.05).There were 21 (11/10) different protein spots between groups IB and IA,and 19 (12/7) different protein spots between groups C and IA.Thirty-one protein spots were identified by means of MALDI-TOF-MS.ConclusionThe cognitive dysfuction after isoflurane anesthesia in aged rats may be related to the changes of energy metabolism protein,cytoskeletal structure and regulatory protein in synapse of hippocampus.

AIM To investigate the action of rosiglitazone on blood glucose,blood lipid,and the vascular remodeling in rats fed with high-fructose diet. METHODS After fed with high-fructose diet for one month,rats were randomly divided into two groups:High-fructose diet group that continued feeding with high-fructose diet for another month; High-fructose diet+rosiglitazone group fed with high-fructose diet and rosiglitazone (5 mg?kg -1?d -1, dissolved in water) for one month. At last,one half of each group were anesthetized,and the fasting blood, obtained from heart,was used to detect blood glucose,blood lipid,blood insulin. The aorta and mesenteric artery were gotten from the other half of each group, fixed in formalin,sliced and HE dyed. ObjectiveTo investigate the effects of dexmedetomidine on postoperative cognitive function and monocytes Toll-like receptor 2 (TLR2)and TLR 4 expression in elderly patients.MethodsForty-five ASA Ⅰ or Ⅱ elderly patients aged ≥65 yr weighing 53-72 kg were randomly divided into 3 groups: control group (group Ⅰ ) and different doses of dexmedetomidine groups(groups Ⅱ and Ⅲ ).Dexmedetomidine 1.0 μg/kg was injected iv over 15 min after anesthesia induction,and then was infused at a rate of 0.5 μg·kg-1 ·h-1 (group Ⅱ ) or 1.0 μg· kg-1 ·h-1 (group Ⅲ ) untile the end of operation.Group Ⅰ received equal volume of normal saline.Blood samples were taken before anesthesia induction,at 1.5 h after the beginning of operation,at the end of operation and at 24 h after operation(T,-T5 ) for determination of monocytes TLR2 and TLR4 expression by flow cytometrybased method.Postoperative cognitive function was evaluated at 1 d before and 7 d after operation with Mini-mental state examination and Wechsler memory scale and Wechsler adult intelligence scale,and the postoperative cognitive dysfunction was recorded.ResultsThe incidence of postoperative cognitive dysfunction and monocytes TLR2 and TLR4 expression were significantly lower in groups Ⅱ and Ⅲ than in group Ⅰ,and in group Ⅲ than in group Ⅱ (P ＜ 0.05).ConclusionDexmedetomidine can prevent postoperative cognitive dysfunction in elderly patients,and the mechanism may be related to down-regulation of monocytes TLR2 and TLR4 expression.

OBJECTIVEHigh altitue pulmonary edema (HAPE) impacts seriously people's health at high altitude. Screening of susceptibility genes for HAPE will be used for the evaluation and protection of susceptible people.

METHODSWe performed a genome-wide association study (GWAS) using Affymetrix SNP array 6.0 in 23 HAPE patients and 17 healthy controls. GO and Pathway analysis softwares were used to analyze and draw gene network.

RESULTSThirty-nine SNPs were found to be significantly different between case and control groups (P < 10(-4)). GO and Pathway analysis of 27 genes around the 39 SNPs indicated that these genes mainly participate in the regulating of cell proliferation, regulation of nitrogen compound metabolic process and G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway and so on.

CONCLUSIONIt suggests that these SNPs and genes found in this study may be associated with the susceptibility of HAPE.

OBJECTIVETo study the chemical constituents in fresh fleshyscaleaf of Lilium lancifolium.

METHODThe constituents were separated. by various kinds of chromatography and their structures were identified on the basis of spectral analysis.

RESULTTen compounds were identified regaloside A (1), regaloside C (2), methyl-a-D-mannopyranosid (3), methyl-ca-D-glucopyranoside (4), (25R, 26R) -26-methoxyspirost-5-ene-3p-yl-O-ca-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1-->2)-[beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->6)]-beta-D-glucopyranoside (5), (25R)-spirost-5-ene-3beta-yl-O-alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1-->2)-[beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->6)]-beta-D-glucopyranoside (6), (25R, 26R)-17alpha-hydroxy-26-methoxyspirost-5-ene-3beta-yl-O-alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1-->2)-[beta-D-glucopyra nosyl-(1-->6)]-beta-D-glucopyranoside (7), daucosterol (8), adenoside (9), berberine (10).

CONCLUSIONAll compounds except 1 and 3 were isolated from this species for the first time, and berberine was first reported in genus Lilium.

An efficient modified route based on the targeting mechanism of antibacterial fluoroquinolones for the shift from the antibacterial activity to the antitumor one was further developed. Using a fused heterocyclic ring, s-triazolothiadiazine as a carboxyl bioisostere of ciprofloxacin, the title compounds, 1-cyclopropyl-6-fluoro-7-piperazin-1-yl-3-(6-substituted-phenyl-7H-[1, 2, 4]triazolo[3, 4-b][1, 3, 4]thiadiazin-3-yl)-quinolin-4(1H)-ones (5a-5e) and their corresponding N-acetyl products (6a-6e), were designed and synthesized, separately. Meaningfully, a ring-contraction of fused six-membered thiadiazine occurred by a sulfur extrusion reaction gave new tri-acetylated fused heterocycles related to pyrazolo[5, 1-c][1, 2, 4] triazoles (7a-7e). The in vitro antitumor activity against L1210, CHO and HL60 cell lines was also evaluated for the synthesized fifteen heterocycles compared to parent ciprofloxacin by methylthiazole trazolium (MTT) assay. Interestingly, the results displayed that fifteen fused heterocyclic compounds showed more significant growth inhibitory activity (IC50 < 25.0 micromo x L(-1)) than that of parent ciprofloxacin (IC50 > 150.0 micromol x L(-1)), and the active order decreased from 7a-7e to 5a-5e to 6a-6e, respective.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate characteristics of molecular etiology of children with profound sensorineural hearing loss in Hubei province, and to provide reference for deafness treatment and genetic counseling. METHOD: Three hundred and six children with profound sensorineural hearing loss in Hubei province were enrolled, their genomic DNA were extracted from peripheral blood and a deafness gene test chip was used to screen nine hot spot mutation in the GJB2, GJB3, SLC26A4, and mitochondria 12SrRNA gene. All patients with SLC26A4 gene mutation were given temporal bone CT scan. RESULT: One hundred and thirty-two (43.14%) out of 306 children were found carrying at least one pathogenic gene mutation. The mutation rates of GJB2, SLC26A4 and mitochondria DNA 12SrRNA gene were 29.41% (90/306), 13.72% (42/306) and 0.65% (2/306), respectively. None out of 306 children was detected GJB3 gene mutation. Thirty-six patients carrying SLC26A4 gene mutation were detected enlarged vestibular aqueduct by CT scan. CONCLUSION Mutations of GJB2 and SLC26A4 gene are two major pathogenic gene for genetic hearing loss in children. 235delC mutation is the main mutation type, followed by IVS7-2A> G mutation type. The screening of SLC26A4 gene common mutations contribute to the diagnosis of enlarged vestibular aqueduct syndrome.
