Objective To isolate enterovirus 71 from a death children, and analyze whether the neurovirulence was related to the variation of nucleotide and amino acid. Methods Enterovirus 71 was isolated from throat swabs which were colleted from Shandong Linyi People's Hospital. The full length genome was sequenced by amplification with RT-PCR and sequencing of 9 overlapped gene fragments covering full length of the genomes. The nucleotide and amino acid sequenced was aligned by BLAST, Bioedit and MEGA 4. Results A strain of enterovirus 71 was isolated and named as SDLY107. The full length was 7405 bp. The results of homology analysis of overall nucleotide sequence showed that strain Fuyang. Anhui. P. R. C/17.08/2 had highest homology (98.6%)with strain SDLY107, and the homology was 80.0% between strain SDLY107 with prototype strain BrCr/70,and 86. 5% between strain SDLY107 with nerve strain MS/87. Phylogenetic analysis showed that the phylogeny was close between SDLY107 with some isolated strains from Chinese Mainland, such as Beijing, Henan, Guangxi, Sbenzhen, Lanzhou, Fuyang, Chongqing and Zhejiang strains, which was clustered for C4 subtype. The results of amino acid sequence analysis showed that there were 2 mutations, E947D and K1873R, for strain SDLY107. Conclusion SDLY107 belonged to C4 subtype, amino acid mutations E947D and K1873R of which may be relevant to the pathogenicity of EV71.

BACKGROUND:Locking compression plate and dynamic hip screw are the two major extramedul ary fixations for the femoral intertrochanteric fractures, however, the comparison of the clinical efficacy between two methods is stil controversial. OBJECTIVE:To systematical y evaluate the clinical efficacy of locking compression plate versus dynamic hip screw in the treatment of femoral intertrochanteric fractures, and provide a theoretical basis for clinical application. METHODS:Authors searched for control ed studies on locking compression plate and dynamic hip screw in the treatment of femoral intertrochanteric fractures in PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, VIP periodical database, Wanfang resource database, Chinese Biomedical Literature service systems published from January 1999 to April 2014. The inclusion and exclusion criteria were made, and the literature meeting the criteria was screened, and the methodological quality of the included studies was evaluated. Meta-analysis was carried out using the RevMan 5.2 software. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Ultimately 682 patients from 8 studies met the inclusion criteria, including 336 patients in the locking compression plate group and 346 patients in the dynamic hip screw group. Meta-analysis results showed that:there were no statistical y significant differences in operating time [MD=-12.07, 95%CI (-29.85, 5.71), P=0.18], peri-operative bleeding loss [MD=-15.01, 95%CI (-87.85, 57.83), P=0.69], post-operation drainage [MD=-13.62, 95%CI (-28.49, 1.26), P=0.07], ambulation time [MD=-0.14, 95%CI (-0.68, 0.41), P=0.63], length of hospitalization [MD=-0.74, 95%CI (-2.29, 0.82), P=0.35], bone union time [MD=-1.18, 95%CI (-2.78, 0.42), P=0.15] between locking compression plate and dynamic hip screw groups. The excellent and good rate of postoperative hip function reduction [OR=2.03, 95%CI (1.23, 3.36), P=0.006] was significantly higher in locking compression plate group than in the dynamic hip screw group. The incidence of coxa vara was lower in the locking compression plate group than in the dynamic hip screw group [OR=0.34, 95%CI (0.12, 0.96), P=0.04]. There were no significant differences in looseness, breakage, withdrawal of internal fixation [OR=1.20, 95%CI (0.59, 2.45), P=0.61] and the incidence of total complications [OR=0.55, 95%CI (0.24, 1.28), P=0.16] between locking compression plate and dynamic hip screw groups. However, the included studies have high possibility of selection bias and measurement bias, and wil affect proof strength of results. Therefore, more clinical randomized control ed studies with compact design are needed for verification.

World Journal of Emergency Medicine 2013;4(4):294-297
BACKGROUND: In this study, we attempted to find the relations between blood pressure (BP) measured on the brachial artery (bBP) and BP assessed on the radial artery (rBP) in the right arm. METHODS: Three hundred and fifteen patients were enrolled in this study. Those who had peripheral vascular disease, wounds of arm skin or subcutaneous tissue infection were excluded. After a 15-minute equilibration and stabilization period after inducation of anesthesia, three bBP and rBP records were obtained sequentially using an oscillometric device with an adult cuff and infant cuff, respectively. Order for each BP was randomized. RESULTS: The bBP was significantly lower than the rBP (P<0.05). The difference between the two values varied from 13 to 18 mmHg in systolic BP (SBP), diastolic BP (DBP) and mean blood pressure (MAP) respectively. And the rBP was positively correlated with the bBP (r=0.872, 0.754, 0.765; P<0.001, <0.001, <0.001; SBP, DBP, MAP, respectively). CONCLUSION: The bBP value can be evaluated by the noninvasive measurements of rBP using an appropriate cuff in clinical practice.

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2018;22(9):1344-1349
BACKGROUND: Adipose-derived stem cells (ADSCs) represent one of the promising cell sources for myocardial regeneration due to their easy accessibility and efficacy in the improvement of cardiac function following myocardial infarction. However, previously reported studies on the underlying mechanism of ADSCs-mediated cardioprotective effect mainly focused on the ADSCs cultured at room air. OBJECTIVE: To test the paracrine actions and anti-apoptotic effect of ADSCs under hypoxic conditions. METHODS: After isolation and culture, neonatal rat myocardial cells were injured by hydrogen peroxide and co-cultured with rat ADSCs under normoxia and hypoxia (10% O2) conditions. Ratio of reduced glutathione to oxidized glutathione (GSH/GSSG) in the cell pellet and levels of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1), and basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) were tested by ELISA. Expression of apoptotic proteins Bax and Bcl-2 were determined by western blot. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: GSH/GSSG, VEGF, IGF-1, and bFGF were decreased in neonatal rat myocardial cells injured by hydrogen peroxide. ADSCs significantly attenuated hydrogen peroxide-induced myocardial apoptosis by increasing the ratio of GSH/GSSG and the secretion of VEGF, IGF-1 and bFGF. ADSCs also down-regulated Bax expression and up-regulated Bcl-2 expression. To conclude, hypoxic conditions can enhance the anti-apoptosis and cardioprotective effects of ADSCs through the paracrine mechanism.
