Objective: Our aim was to study the relationship between nitric oxide and ovarian neoplasm. The concentrationg of nitrite /nitrate (NO-2/NO-3),glutathione(GSH), and the activity of superoxide dismutase(SOD) were detected in ovarian tissues. Methods:A modified copper-coated cadium reduction method was used to detect NO-2/NO-3. Dithio-bis-nitrobenzoic acid (DTNB) method was used to detect the GSH concentration. The activity of SOD was measured by an ultramicroanalytic and rapid assay. All the data were obtained from 21 patients with ovarian neoplasm(10 with benign ovarian neoplasms, and 11 with ovarian carcinomas). This paper is concerned with the analysis of matched case-control studies. The carcinoma tissues and normal ovarian tissues were obtained from the same patient. We performed Paired-Samples t test to determine whether the NO-2/NO-3,GSH and the activity of SOD in carcinomas and normal ovarian tissues have significantly difference. Results:No significant difference for the concentration of NO-2/NO-3,GSH and activity of SOD was shown in the normal ovarian tissues and neoplasm tissues of benign neoplasm . The concentrations of GSH and activity of SOD in normal ovarian tissues were significantly higher than ovarian carcinomas(P<0.05). No significant difference of concentration of NO-2/NO-3 was shown in normal ovary and ovarian carcinomas. In the normal tissues of all patients, NO-2/NO-3 was positively correlated with GSH and SOD. Glutathione was positively correlated with SOD. In the ovarian neoplasms, there was no significant correlation between NO-2/NO-3 and GSH, NO-2/NO-3 and SOD,GSH and SOD.Conclusion: Nitric oxide and the other matters which attend the course of its metastasis may closely related to ovary neoplasms.

Chinese Journal of Biochemical Pharmaceutics 2015;(12):56-58
Objective To explore the changes of index of heart function and major cardiovascular events (nonfatal myocardial infarction, stroke, and cardiovascular death) to H-type hypertension patients with left ventricular hypertrophy caused by Tianma Gouteng Decoction. Methods 126 H-type hypertension patients with left ventricular hypertrophy from January 2014 to May 2014 in our hospital were divided into observation group and control group,63 cases in each group.Control group was treated with conventional western medicine, observation group was treated with Tianma Gouteng Decoction on the basis of control group. The levels of plasma homocysteine (Hcy), left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF),the E/A, and the incidence of major cardiovascular events were recorded and compared between the two groups. Results Compared with pre-treatment, the levels of Hcy in the two groups were significantly decreased(P<0.05), and the effect of observation group was better (P<0.05).After the treatment, the E/A and LVEF of the two groups were significantly improved (P<0.05); the E/A ratio and LVEF in observation group were significantly higher than those in control group (P<0.05).The incidence of major cardiovascular events in observation group was significantly lower than that in control group (6.35%VS 19.05%,P<0.05).Conclusion Tianma Gouteng Decoction can significantly reduce the Hcy of patients who get H-type hypertension, improve diastolic and systolic function and lower the occurrence of major cardiovascular events.
5.LC-PDA-MS/MS analysis and anti-depressant study of Zhizi-Gancao-Chi decoction
Journal of China Pharmaceutical University 2009;40(4):342-347
Aim: To establish an analytical method to study the chemical components in Zhizi-Gancao-Chi(ZGC) decoction, and investigate its anti-depressant effect. Methods: An LC-PDA-MS/MS method was established and applied. The separation was performed on an ODS C_(18) column (250 mm ×4. 6 mm, 5 μm) with a gradient elu-tion. The mobile phase consisted of water/acetic acid( 1 %, v/v) and methanol. The main components were identi-fied according to the UV and MS. The anti-depressant effect was evaluated with mice tail-suspension test and forced swimming test. Results: The components of the ZGC decoction were separated isolated and ten of them were identified. These compounds are classified to iridoid glycosides, flavonoids and triterpene saponins. In addi-tion, its anti-depressant effect was observed for the first time. Conclusion: The LC-PDA-MS/MS method can ef-fectively separate and identify the components of ZGC decoction, which has significant anti-depressant effect. The relationship between the chemical component and its anti-depressant effect needs further study.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of Zhenqing Capsule (ZQC), a compound traditional Chinese herbal medicine, in treating type 1 diabetic rats with peripheral neuropathy. METHODS: Type 1 diabetes was induced by caudal vein injection of high-dose streptozotocin in 30 male Wistar rats. The thirty diabetic rats were randomly divided into three groups: ZQC-treated group, untreated group and aminoguanidine-treated group. Another group of 10 rats was taken as normal control. After 10-week treatment, the changes of body weight and fasting plasma glucose level were measured, and the serum MDA level and the changes of neurological electrophysiology were analyzed. The samples of sciatic nerve in diabetic rats were taken for morphological observation. RESULTS: The MDA level in type 1 diabetic rats was notably reduced in ZQC-treated group as compared with the untreated group (P<0.01). Compared with the untreated group, ZQC could improve the electrophysiology of sciatic nerve including conduction velocity (P<0.05), latency (P<0.01) and wave amplitude (P<0.05). The nerve myelin staining results showed that segmental demyelination of the nerve fibers in ZQC-treated group was not as serious as that in the untreated group. CONCLUSION: ZQC can obviously ameliorate the neurological electrophysiological function and the pathological changes of peripheral nerve in type 1 diabetic rats through the removal of free radical and resistance of lipid peroxidation.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 1992;0(05):-
Objective To explore the correlation between phenotypes in female with X-linked Alport syndrome(XLAS) and X-inactivation of different tissues. Methods Thirty-six female diagnosed as XLAS were studied, and proteinuria was taken as a marker of the severity of clinical phenotypes.X-inactivation patterns were analyzed in peripheral blood cells of 36 XLAS female and in skin fibroblasts of 12 XLAS female. The X-inactivation analysis was performed by using Hpa Ⅱ predigestion of DNA followed by polymerase chain reaction(PCR) of the highly polymorphic CAG repeat of the androgen receptor gene. Results The average X-inactivation levels of the mutant allele decreased while the degree of proteinuria increased,so there was a negative correlation between the degree of proteinuria and the X-inactivation ratios of the mutant allele in blood cells(r=-0.543,P=0.002).However,there was no correlation between the degree of proteinuria and the X-inactivation ratios of the mutant allele in skin fibroblasts(r=-0.131,P=0.701).Conclusions X-inactivation ratios might explain partially the diverse phenotypes in XLAS female patients, which suggested that the prognosis of XLAS female might be predicted via analysis of the X-inactivation in peripheral blood cells.
