The intra-arterial thrombolysis is one of the most effective approaches in salvaging brain ischemic penumbra and treating acute cerebral infarction. However, because of the limita- tions of short time windows for treatment, intracerebral hemorrhage after thrombolysis and reocclusion, more clinical studies are needed before this technique is widely developed and applied.

Castor(Ricinus communis L.),a high energy-stored and industrial raw-material plant species,is of great value in its application.Progresses in castor biotechnology were summarized in terms of tissue culture and genetic transformation. The results of studies on tissue culture indicated that application of TDZ(thiadiazuron) gave the maximum rate of shoot proliferation in various exogenous hormones when embryo axis was used as explant. On this ground, the in vitro regeneration system was established. The studies on castor genetic transformation showed that the Agrobaterium-mediated method was the most suitable one in different castor transformation methods. The hygromycin is suitable to selection of castor transfomants while castor embryo axis is insensitive to kanamycin. The possibilities of breeding of new castor varieties and improvement of castor production via biotechnology were also discussed.

Objective To investigate the vasodilatation effects of total flavonoid from polygonum aviculare on rat thoracic aorta and its underlying mechanisms. Methods Total flavonoid from polygonum aviculare was gotten by extracted with 65% alcohol, gathered with polyamide, and eluted with 75% alcohol. The content of flavone was determined with rutoside as standard preparation. Normal rats thoracic aorta in vitro used as sample, BL-420E biological functional experiment system was utilized to record dilatation effect of total flavonoid on PE affecting pre-contracting blood vessel and the relation between dilatation effect of total flavonoid on blood vessel and calcium influx. Results Total flavonoids from polygonum aviculare can diastole contractions of thoracic aorta caused by PE. In calcium-free perfusion, gradually adding CaCl2 induced calcium influx. Clinical data showed dose-effect relation between drug and blood vessel contraction decreased in the total flavonoids from polygonum aviculare incubation rats than normal rats. Besides, total flavonoids from polygonum aviculare can obviously inhibit contraction of blood vascular circle induced by calcium releasing. Conclusion FP exerted a dose-dependent vasodilatation effect on rat isolated aorta rings by inhibiting Ca2+influx via L-type voltage-gated Ca2+ channels and Ca2+ release from sarcoplasmic reticulum, consequently decrease Ca2+ in vascular smooth muscle cells.

Objective To study the clinical therapeutic effect of acupuncture in the treatment of depressive neurosis. Methods The 60 selected patients of depressive neurosis were randomized into treatment group(acupuncture regulating the liver group)and con- trol group(near-by sham-point acupuncture group),with 30 in each. The scores of Symptom Checklist 90(SCL-90),Self-rating De- pression Scale(SDS),and Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD),and the total effective rate after treatment were observed. Results The total effective rate of the treatment group and the control group was 92.6% and 56.0% respectively, and the difference was sig- nificant(P

Most chemical medicines have polymorphs. The difference of medicine polymorphs in physicochemical properties directly affects the stability, efficacy, and safety of solid medicine products. Polymorphs is incomparably important to pharmaceutical chemistry, manufacturing, and control. Meantime polymorphs is a key factor for the quality of high-end drug and formulations. Polymorph prediction technology can effectively guide screening of trial experiments, and reduce the risk of missing stable crystal form in the traditional experiment. Polymorph prediction technology was firstly based on theoretical calculations such as quantum mechanics and computational chemistry, and then was developed by the key technology of machine learning using the artificial intelligence. Nowadays, the popular trend is to combine the advantages of theoretical calculation and machine learning to jointly predict crystal structure. Recently, predicting medicine polymorphs has still been a challenging problem. It is expected to learn from and integrate existing technologies to predict medicine polymorphs more accurately and efficiently.

OBJECTIVETo explore the anesthetic effect of preemptive analgesia of frequency acupoint electrical stimulation on painless-induced abortion as well as its effect on anesthetics dosage.
METHODSNinety cases of early pregnancy who selected painless-induced abortion were randomly divided into two groups, 45 cases in each group. Frequency acupoint electrical stimulation at Ciliao (BL 32) and Shenshu (BL 23), disperse-densewave, 2 Hz/100 Hz in frequency for 15 to 20 min, was applied in the group A, which was followed by intravenous anesthesia of propofol. The intravenous anesthesia of propofol was applied in the group B. The blood pressure (BP), heart rate (HR) and SpO2 before, during and after surgery, anesthetic effect and dosage, waking time and adverse events were observed in the two groups.
RESULTSThe BP and HR during and after the surgery in the group A were not statistically different from those before the surgery (all P > 0.05). The BP was reduced and HR was slowed down during the surgery in the group B, which was significantly different from those before the surgery as well as those in the group A (all P < 0.05). The dosage of propofol was (114. 3-+6. 1) mg in the group A. obviously less than (193.2 +/- 8.9) mg in the group B (P < 0.05). The waking time was (5.6 +/- 1.2) min in the group A, obviously less than (10.1 +/- 3.9) min in the group B (P < 0.05). As for anesthetic effect, the incidence of Grade I in the group A was more than the group B (P < 0.05). The adverse events, including nausea, vomiting and contractions pain in the group A were evidently less than those in the group B (all P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONThe preemptive analgesia of frequency acupoint electrical stimulation could significantly improve anesthetic effect of painless-induced abortion, reduce dosage of anesthetics, shorten waking time of surgery and guarantee the safety of surgery.
