1.Clinical analysis of patients with eosinophilia-myalgia syndrome
Chinese Journal of General Practitioners 2008;7(4):247-249
Objective To analyze clinical features of patients with eosinophilia-myalgia syndrome (EMS).Methods Clinical manifestations, response to treatment and prognosis of 89 cases with eosinophilia hospitalized at Peking Union Medical College Hospital(PUMCH)during the past nine years were analyzed retrospectively, including four cases conformed with the diagnostic criteria for EMS set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of the US.Results Infection, tumor and other diseases that could cause increased eosinophil count were excluded in all but four cases, with all female, average age of 48.8 years, and mean count of eosinophil of 42.75 percent of blood cells.Multi-organs and systems were involved in the patients, with the most common clinical manifestations of myalgia, skin rash, joint swelling, arthralgias, respiratory symptoms and paresthesia.Patients responded well to prednisone at acute phase of illness, but prognosis was poor as severe pulmonary hypertension occurred.Occurrence of EMS closely associated with environmental factors and special attention should be paid to patient's history of medication and diet in its diagnosis. Conclusion EMS is characterized by the increasing of eosinophils and myalgia, while multi-organs and systems were involved.Glucocorticoid plays an important role in the treatment at acute phase of illness.

Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2014;49(3):285-292
Inosine 5'-monophosphate dehydrogenase (IMPDH) is a key enzyme of de novo GMP biosynthesis. The expression and activity of IMPDH can be affected by diseases and physiological process. It is the drug target for anticancer, antiviral, antimicrobial and immunosuppressive therapeutics. Not only catalytic action but the other biological functions of IMPDH also play an important role in diseases. The basic functions, mechanism of catalysis, classification of inhibitors, biological functions and the latest advances to IMPDH will be illustrated in this review. It is expected to be helpful to the discovery of new inhibitors and biological functions of IMPDH.

3.Study on changes of TNF-α and IL-1 in spleen cells of mice induced by recombinant BCG-Sj26GST vaccine of schistosoma japonicum
Chinese Journal of Endemiology 2001;20(3):172-174
Objective To study the effects of recombinant BCG-Sj26GST vaccine of schistosoma japonicum of TNF-α and IL-1 produced by spleen cells of mice. Methods In experiment 1,BALB/C mice were immnized subcutaneously by 106 and 108 CFU vaccine respectively, challenged with Sj cercariae on 8 w of immunization and killed on 6 w of infection to separate spleens,PBS served as control;in experiment 2,after immunized subcutaneously and intravenously by 106 CFU vaccine respectively,4 mice were killed to separate sleens on 0,4,8,10,14 and 16 w of immunization, spleen cells were stimulated by Sj26 or mitogens, the level of TNF-α in supernatant of spleen cells were detected by ELISA,that of IL-1 by fibroblast proliferative response. Results Levels of TNF-α and IL-1 increased obviously by immunization with the vaccine against challenge with Sj cercariae;dynamic observation showed that TNF-α and IL-1 in the subcutaneous group reached the highest level on 4~8 w;that in the intravenous group on 16 w and 4~8 w respectively. Conclusions Recombinant BCG-Sj26GST vaccine of schistosoma japonicum may promote spleen cell of mice to secrete TNF-α and IL-1 early, these cytokines may play an important role in protective immunity against schistosomiasis.

[Objective] To discuss the mechanism of Kidney-notifying Compound preventing and treating menopause coronary heart disease.[Method] Copy 4 mature Henghe female monkeys into artificial menopause models, randomly divide them into Kidney-notifying Compound group(1) and Premarin control group(2),2 monkeys in one group.Every day make stomach perfusion of the of Compound decoction;take nitrate reductase to measure serum NO,radiation-immune method for plasm ET-1 concentration.[Result] The Compound and WM combined with estrogen Premarin all can raise NO and reduce ET level, two groups have statistical meaning in replying measurement(P
7. Effect and mechanism of polyphenols on depression, learning and memory: Research advances
Journal of International Pharmaceutical Research 2010;37(6):451-455
With the rapid development of economy and lives, people suffer from more and more chronical stress than before. Stress may affect cognitive function in brain, and even cause a depressive disorder, including impaired learning memory, depression, dysmnesia and so on. However, the pathogenesis remains unclear. Present study shows that it may result from neurotransmitter disorders, free radical damage, neuronal apoptosis, immune system suppression and other factors. Recently, the usage of traditional herbs has provided us a prospective alternative in the treatment of depression because of their better compliance and lower side effects. This review introuduces the effects of several natural antioxidants (curcumin, procyanidins etc.) on regularing depression and learning-memory, as well as the mechanism.

China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2015;40(18):3534-3537
The ralationship between traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and intestinal microecology is increasingly being given more and more attention. Combined with the devolopment of intestinal microecology disciplines, effects of TCM on regulation of intestinal microecology have been gradually explained. Both clinical studies and animal experiments have confirmed that TCM can maintain the balance of intestinal microecology and regulate the intestinal flora. The author arrangemented the documents related to Chinese herbal compound adjusting intestinal flora in the recent ten years, summarized that the Chinese herbal compound which can strength spleen and replenish Qi, relax bowels and regulate Qi, dissipate dampness and check diarrhea, clear away heat and toxic materials, promote digestion and relieve stasis had certain regulation effects on intestinal microecology, providing basis for revealing the TCM essence of intestinal microecology.
