1.Expressions of chemokine CXCL12 and its receptor CXCR4 in human sperm.

OBJECTIVETo explore the expression patterns of the chemokine CXCL12 and its receptor CXCR4 in human sperm.
METHODSWe collected semen samples from 10 fertile men, performed density gradient centrifugation, and then determined the expressions of both CXCL12 and CXCR4 in the sperm by RT-PCR and immunofluorescence staining.
RESULTSRT-PCR revealed the mRNA expressions of CXCL12 (0.641 +/- 0.180) and CXCR4 (0.464 +/- 0.100) in the sperm. However, only CXCR4 rather than CXCL12 was expressed at the protein level, and the positive staining for CXCR4 was observed mainly in the posterior part of the acrosome.
CONCLUSIONCXCL12 and CXCR4 are involved as important molecules in regulating the function of human sperm.

3.Effect of Tianma Gouteng Decoction on index of heart function and major cardiovascular events in treatment of H-type hypertension patients with left ventricular hypertrophy

Objective To explore the changes of index of heart function and major cardiovascular events (nonfatal myocardial infarction, stroke, and cardiovascular death) to H-type hypertension patients with left ventricular hypertrophy caused by Tianma Gouteng Decoction.Methods 126 H-type hypertension patients with left ventricular hypertrophy from January 2014 to May 2014 in our hospital were divided into observation group and control group,63 cases in each group.Control group was treated with conventional western medicine, observation group was treated with Tianma Gouteng Decoction on the basis of control group.The levels of plasma homocysteine (Hcy), left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF),the E/A, and the incidence of major cardiovascular events were recorded and compared between the two groups.Results Compared with pre-treatment, the levels of Hcy in the two groups were significantly decreased(P<0.05), and the effect of observation group was better (P<0.05).After the treatment, the E/A and LVEF of the two groups were significantly improved (P<0.05); the E/A ratio and LVEF in observation group were significantly higher than those in control group (P<0.05).The incidence of major cardiovascular events in observation group was significantly lower than that in control group (6.35%VS 19.05%,P<0.05).Conclusion Tianma Gouteng Decoction can significantly reduce the Hcy of patients who get H-type hypertension, improve diastolic and systolic function and lower the occurrence of major cardiovascular events.
4.Effect of hyperoxic liquid on gastric intramucosal pH after myocardial ischemic reperfusion injury in rabbits

Objective To investigate the changes in gastric intramucosal pH(pHi) and the effect of hyperoxic liquid on intramucosal pH(pHi) after myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury in rabbits.Methods Twenty healthy male adult rabbits,weighing 2.3-3.0 kg,were randomly divided into two groups: control group(n=10) and hyperoxic liquid group(n=10).Hyperoxic liquid group received the routine infusion of hyperoxic liquidle of 10 mL/kg for seven days,while control group received the routine treatment infusion of saline instead of hyperoxic liquid of 10 mL/kg.Seven days later,the myocardial ischemic reperfusion model(I/R) was established,and ECG and homodynamic indexes were monitored simultaneously.Hemodynamic indexes and pHi were measured before myocardial ischemia,30 min after myocardial ischemia as well as 1 h and 2 h after reperfusion.Results Hyperoxic liquid could lower ST segment and improve hemodynamic indexes.pHi decreased significantly after myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury in both groups.Compared with that in control group,pHi was significantly higher at 1 h and 2 h after reperfusion in hyperoxic liquid group(P

Objective To study the protective effect of hyperoxic liquid preconditioning in myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury. Methods Thirty rabbits were randomly divided into three groups: group A undergoing all procedures except ischemia-reperfusion, group C receiving the routine infusion of hyperoxic liquid 15mL/kg for seven days, and group B receiving the routine treatment infusion of saline instead of hyperoxic liquid 15mL/kg. Nonarteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION)is a common optic neuropathy seriously affecting the visual function in the middle-aged and elderly population.However,its pathogenesis is not completely clear,and therefore its treating efficacy is dissatisfactory.The current study on NAION is focused on the establishment of suitable animal model and the pathogenesis.In recent years,the relatively ideal animal models(including rodent and primate) have been established by photodynamic methods,which make people have more in-depth understanding on the pathophysiologic mechanism of NAION and lay the basis for the research of therapies.The selection of experimental animals,various induction methods and existing problems in the creation of NAION animal model were reviewed and analyzed in this artical.
