AIM:To evaluate the poor vision condition and analyze the myopia etiological factor in primary school He'xi district of Sanya.
METHODS: A cohort of 1 218 subjects were recruited randomly from grade 1~6 of two primary schools. Visual activity test, dioptroscopy and risk factor questionnaire were evaluated.
RESULTS: The prevalence of poor vision was 29. 55%. The incidence of myopia increased with grade, and was significantly higher in girls than that in boys. The outdoor activity time of myopic pupil ( 7. 25 ± 5. 35h/wk ) was significantly lower than emmetropic pupil (11. 86±6. 65h/wk) ( P < 0. 05 ). The usage of electronic product ( TV, computater and cell phone) time of myopic pupil (13. 36±8. 35h/wk) was significantly higher than emmetropic pupil (7. 75±5. 83h/wk) (P<0. 05).
CONCLUSION: The increase of myopia incidence is closely related with sparing outdoor activity and excess usage of electronic product.

Objective To observe the expressions of Slug, BRAF V600E and STIP1 proteins in papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC), and to explore their correlation with capsular invasion and regional lymph node metastasis. Methods Slug, BRAF V600E and STIP1 expressions in 107 cases of differentiated PTC were examined by immunohistochemical staining. The expressions of three proteins and clinicopathological data were statistically analyzed. Results Positive rates of Slug, BRAF V600E and STIP1 in PTC were 65.4 % (70/107), 61.7 % (66/107) and 66.4 % (71/107), respectively, and overexpression of Slug, BRAF V600E and STIP1 was significantly associated with capsular invasion and regional lymph node metastasis in PTC (P< 0.05). There are a significant correlation between expression of Slug and BRAF V600E in PTC (r= 0.235, P< 0.05). Conclusion Overexpression of Slug, BRAF V600E and STIP1 proteins is associated with capsular invasion and regional lymph node metastasis in PTC, which maybe useful for predicting regional lymph node metastasis and prognostic evaluation.

Objective To analyze the impac factors of serum N?terminal pro?brain natriuretic peptide (NT?proBNP) in patients with renal failure in non?dialysis phase, and to determine the cut?off point of as a diagnostic values in these patients with heart failure (HF). Methods Cross?sectional study was applied. Clinical data of 145 patients (37 cases of CKD4, 89 cases of CKD5, and 19 cases of acute renal injury (AKI) with renal failure in non?dialysis phase were collected. Comparison between groups and lineal regression analysis were utilized to investigate the impact factors of NT?proBNP, and the receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC curve) to select a better cut?off point of diagnosis in these patients with HF. Results (1) Compared with patients without HF, patients with HF had significantly higher edema, cardiac troponin I, serum phosphorus concentration, and left atrial diameter (LA), while ALB and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) were decreased (P<0.05). (2) The NT?proBNP was divided into 4 groups with four points: First groups of 36 cases, NT?proBNP 1 ?862 ng/L, second groups 37 cases, 866?2670 ng/L, third groups 37 cases, 2790?20 000 ng/L, fourth groups 35 cases, 20 900?35 000 ng/L. With the increase of NT?proBNP levels, the occurrence of AKI and CKD4 decreased gradually while the occurrence of CKD and edema were significantly increased (P<0.01). Systolic blood pressure, troponin I, uric acid, serum phosphorus, parathyroid hormone, 24 hours urine protein, LA, interventricular septum thickness (IVS), left ventricular posterior wall thickness (LVPW) level gradually increased. Hb, ALB, calcium, CO2, eGFR, LVEF significantly decreased (P<0.01). The serum NT?proBNP of patients with HF was significantly higher than that of patients without HF (19 150 ng/L vs 1530 ng/L, P<0.01). The serum NT?proBNP of patients with edema was significantly higher than that in patients without edema (5460 ng/L vs 1630 ng/L, P<0.01). (3) Single factor linear regression analysis indicated that higher NT?proBNP was positive correlated with HF, edema, cardiac troponin I, uric acid, serum phosphorus, LA, IVS and LVPW (P<0.05), while negative correlated with Hb, eGFR, ALB, serum calcium, CO2, LVEF (P<0.05), and not correlated with eGFR, uric acid, serum calcium (P>0.05). (4) The best cut?off point of NT?proBNP predicting HF in patients with renal failure in non?dialysis phase was 3805 ng/L, AUC=0.848, 95%CI 0.786?0.910. Sensitivity was 82.4%, specificity 74.5%, positive predictive value 62.1%, negative predictive value 87.3%, positive likelihood ratio 3.2, negative likelihood ratio 0.24. Conclusions The level of NT?proBNP>20 000 ng/L is mainly found in end?stage renal disease patients with HF. HF is a main factor for the increase of NT?proBNP in patients with renal failure in non?dialysis phase. High phosphorus viremia, anemia, and hypoalbuminemia are closely related to NT?proBNP. Therefore NT?proBNP predicting HF should take into account the effects of these confounding factors in these patients.

OBJECTIVETo develop a RP-HPLC method for determination of three glycosides in Swertia punicea.

METHODChromatographic column: Alltimal C18 (4.6 mm x 250 mm, 5 microm). Mobile phase: methanol-water (including 0.05% H3PO4), and gradient elution. Flow rate: 1 mL x min(-1). Wavelength: 254 nm. Column temperture: 30 degrees C.

RESULTThe calibration curves of gentiopicroside, mangiferin and swertrianolin were in good linearity over the range of 31.3-281.7, 0.31-2.78, 0.55-4.91 microg, (r = 0.9996, 0.9993, 0.9995). The average recoveries were 103.36%, 101.42% and 97.39%, with RSD less then 3% (n = 5).

CONCLUSIONIt is a simple and sensitive meathod in controlling the quality of S. punicea.

Objective To improve the long-term biocompatibility and mechanical stability of Titanium alloy implants. Method micro-nano patterned TiO2 thin films have been prepared on TC4 substrates via a sol-gel dip-coating method with Ti(OC4H9)4 (TEOT) as precursor and polyethylene glycol (PEG) as organic template. The influence of PEG concentration upon the morphology of the target films has been studied by using AFM. The wettability and tribological properties of the target films have been studied by means of optical contact angle measuring instrument and UMT-2. Results When increasing the PEG concentration to 3.5g/100mL, a parallel arranged groove structure can be obtained on the surface of the sample; compare with TiO2 sol-gel film without adding organic template, the wear resistance of the patterned film is better. Conclusions The feature of the patterned TiO2 films can be controlled by adding different amount of organic template; and it has been proved that a certain kind of patterned structure can improve the wear resistance of the film.

Objective: To learn the concentration of target genes of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 ( SARS-CoV-2 ) and the influencing factors in the confirmed cases with coronavirus disease 2019 ( COVID-19 ) in Ningbo. Methods: Demographic information and clinical diagnosis of COVID-19 cases reported in Ningbo from January 21 to February 20, 2020 were collected through China Disease Control and Prevention Information System. The Ct values of ORF1ab and N of the cases were collected through Ningbo Center for Disease Control and Prevention and designated hospitals, and analyzed in terms of gender, age, severity, clinical classification, source of case, sampling time and specimen type. Results: There were 157 confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 56 males ( 35.67% ) and 101 females ( 64.33% ). Sixty-seven cases ( 42.68% ) aged between 40 and 60 years old. The Ct values of ORF1ab and N in females were 29.96±5.28 and 30.38±4.90, which were higher than 27.56±4.94 and 28.03±4.88 in males ( P<0.05 ). The Ct values of ORF1ab and N were the lowest when sampled at 1-7 days after onset ( P<0.05 ), which were 27.84±4.80 and 28.35±4.65. The Ct values of ORF1ab ( rs=0.288, P=0.001 ) and N ( rs=0.296, P=0.001 ) were positively correlated with sampling time. The Ct values of ORF1ab in pharyngeal swab and sputum were 29.19±4.85 and 28.74±6.40, the Ct values of N in pharyngeal swab and sputum were 29.61±4.60 and 29.22±6.10, both without significant differences between different samples ( P>0.05 ). Conclusions Sampling time has a great influence on the Ct values of ORF1ab and N of SARS-CoV-2.

We retrospectively reviewed the clinical records of 12 systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) patients with thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP) admitted into Peking Union Medical College Hospital (PUMCH) during October 2008 to September 2013.TTP occurred in 0.45％ (12/2 693) of patients with SLE.The median age (2 males,10 females) was 23 years.Their SLEDAI scores ranged from 12 to 30.All patients had significant thrombocytopenia and renal abnormalities.Ten of them bad acute renal failure.Cardiac involvement and neurological deficits were observed in 9 and 8 of them respectively.Eight of them had injuries of more than 4 organs.Renal biopsy of 3 patients revealed lupus nephritis (type Ⅳ,n =2 ; type Ⅴ,n =1) and thrombotic microangiopathy.Eleven TTP patients received steroid pulse therapy (1 g/d,3 days) and six of them survived.Six patients were rescued by therapeutic plasma exchange and 4 of them recovered.Among another 6 patients not on plasma exchange therapy,only 3 recovered.Finally 2 died,3 gave up with exacerbated symptoms after therapy and 7 survived.

Objective To evaluate the effect of the difficult embryo transfer on the clinical pregnancy outcome of in vitro fertili-zation-embryo transfer(IVF-ET) .Methods There were 209 fresh cycles of difficultly transferring and 2 489 fresh cycles of easily embryo transferring between January 2011 and December 2012 .The clinical outcome was compared .Results There were statistical-ly significant differences in the catheter blood staining rates (51 .20% vs 27 .68% ,P< 0 .05) ,implantation rate(31 .14% vs 35 . 54% ,P<0 .05) ,and clinical pregnancy rate (46 .41% vs 55 .56% ,P<0 .05)between the two groups .There was no significant difference in the rates of ectopic pregnancy and miscarriage between the two groups (P>0 .05) .Conclusion Difficulty ET will in-fluence the clinical pregnancy .Therefore ,all efforts should be made to avoid the difficult transfer in order to increase the pregnant rate .

Objective To investigate the status and influencing factors of quality of life among diabetes patients in Nanchang,and to explore the relationships between the quality of life and community health care demands.Methods Totally 292 diabetes patients were recruited by multi-stage sampling method from thee community health service centers in Nanchang city.They were investigated with Diabetes-specific Quality of Life Scale(DSQL) and a self-designed questionnaire of community health care demands.The results underwent analysis.Results The total score of the DSQL in Nanchang was(66.88±15.44) points,which was relatively poor.The main factors affected patients' quality of life were the complications of diabetes,diabetic macroangiopathy,diabetic foot,hypertension and patients' career.The total and the every dimension of the scores of the DSQL were positively correlated with the scores of disease nursing needs and community health care demands.Conclusions To improve diabetes patients' quality of life,community diabetic care should focus on the different affected factors of patients' quality of life and the demands of patients.

Objective To determine the immune responses induced by recombinant Salmonella ty-phimurium expressing the secreting antigen ESAT-6 of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Methods ESAT-6 cod-ing gene was cloned and identified by PCR and sequencing. Prokaryotic expression plasmid pYA33-esat car-rying the ESAT-6 coding sequence was constructed firstly and electro-transformed into an attenuated strain X4550 of Salmonella typhimurium, the recombinant bacteria was named as X4550(33-esat). C57BL/6 mice were immunized intranasally (I. N) with 108 CFU recombinant bacteria at day 0 and 18. Cells from spleen, lung, mesenteric lymph node (MLN) and Peyer's patch (PP) were collected from mice after second immu-nization, and the specific IFN-γ-secreting cells and IL-4-secreting cells were detected by ELISPOT assay u-sing ESAT-6 peptide as stimulus. Furthermore, CTL effects were in vivo evaluated by CFSE assay. Results The results showed that cellular immune responses specific for ESAT-6 could be detected by ELISPOT assay. In lung and PP cells, immune responses against ESAT-6 were biased toward Th1 type, the frequency of IFN-γ-secreting cells was much higher than that of IL-4-secreting cells. In splenocytes and MLN cells, the anti-gen specific immune responses acted as Thl and Th2 balance, the frequency of IFN-γ-secreting cells was close to that of IL-4-secreting cells. CFSE assay indicated that recombinant bacteria could induce the high level of CTL effects specific for ESAT-6 peptide. Conclusion These results suggested that recombinant Sal-monella typhimurium X4550(33-esat) not only can induce cellular immune responses, but also can elicit specific CTL responses after I. N immunization. It also provided the useful information for the control of infec-tious disease of tuberculosis.
