China Pharmacist 2014;(11):1870-1872
Objective: To evaluate the quality consistency of the original product ( DIOVAN ) and generic valsartan capsules ( VSC) . Methods:The dissolution of the two capsules in four media was monitored by the UV method described in Chinese Pharmaco-poeia ( ChP 2010 edition) . The f2 similarity factor approach was used to evaluate the dissolution similarity between DIOVAN and VSC and the production quality of the enterprises. Meanwhile, the homogeneity in the same batch was studied by dissolution precision and the reproducibility in the different batches were also evaluated by a similar equivalent limit method to show the production quality of the manufacturers. Results:The dissolution of VSC and Diovan in pH 6. 8 phosphate buffer medium was both above 85% in 15 min. The f2 similarity factors in the other three media ( water, pH 4. 5 acetate buffer and 0. 1 mol·L-1 HCl) were all above 50. The relative standard deviation ( RSD) of precision in the same batch was less than 10%. Among the different batches, dissolution limit value ( Q) was within the range of the upper and lower limit value of probability levels (δ) . Conclusion:The f2 similarity factor results indicate the in vitro dissolution of the reference drug ( DIOVAN) and generic drug ( VSC) is consistent in the four media. The production quali-ty of generic manufacturer is also good with promising homogeneity and reproducibility evaluation results.

Objective To investigate the localization and surgical outcome of epileptogenic nidus of post-traumatic epilepsy. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on clinical data of 62 patients with post-traumatic epilepsy treated microsurgicallly from November 2005 to May 2009. There were 48 males and 14 females, at age range from 11 to 48 years old (average 28.8 years old). The epileptogenic nidus in 59 patients was localized based on clinical manifestations, visual electroencephalography (V-EEC) imaging and electrophysiological findings and that in three patients localized by implanted intracranial electrodes. Under electrocorticogram (ECoG) monitoring, we resected cerebral malacia in 36 patients, removed both malacia and epileptogenic nidus in 15, and partially resected cerebral malacia combined with cortex thermocoagulation in 11. Results The follow-up for 6-33 months showed that there were 32 patients at grade Ⅰ , 17 at grade Ⅱ , nine at grade Ⅲ and four at grade Ⅳ according to Engel classification system. Conclusion V-EEG is an important method for pre-operative localization of epileptogenic nidus of post-traumatic epilepsy. Microsurgical management can attain favorable outcome under ECoG monitoring.

Objective:To investigate the inhibitory effect of cytokine-induced killer cells (CIK) against implanted gastric cancer cells. Methods:Gastric cancer SGC-7901 cells were subcutaneously injected into the inguina of nude mice to establish gastric cancer model. The tumor bearing mice were randomly divided into CIK group and fibroblasts group,in which mice were subcutaneously injected with fluorescence dye SP-DiI labeled CIK and fibroblasts HFL-I cells, respectively. Distribution of CIK and HFL-I cells in different tissues of gastric cancer bearing mice were observed. Meanwhile, tumor volume was measured after different treatments and tumor inhibitory rate was calculated. Tumor necrosis areas in different groups were observed. Results:SP-DiI labeled CIK was mainly located in the gastric cancer tissues 10 d after injection, and was hardly detected at the injection sites, liver, spleen and lung tissues (P

Objective:To study the use of left renal vein as a graft vessel in reconstruction after portal vein/superior mesenteric vein (PV-SMV) resection in pancreaticoduodenectomy. Methods:A retrospective study was conducted on 5 of these patients who underwent surgery from July 2008 to December 2017 at Chinese PLA General Hospital. The operative, complication and follow-up data were analysed. Results:There were 4 males and 1 female, with an average age of 57 (33-72) years. The mean operative time was 6.8 (5.4-9.1) h and the mean tumor size was 3.8 (2.8-4.8) cm. The average length of the PV-SMV defect left after resection was 3.8 (3.2-4.6) cm. The average length of the left renal vein used was 3.4 (3.0-4.1) cm. The operations were carried out in 3 patients with pancreatic cancer and in 2 patients with colon cancer pancreatic metastasis. The average postoperative hospital stay was 12 (10-25) days. Perioperative complications included 1 patient each with ascites, diarrhea and delayed gastric emptying. The creatinine levels ranged from 70-98 μmol/L preoperatively, with a transient creatinine rise to 80-156 μmol/L after operation and became 62-107 μmol/L upon discharge from hospital. The follow-up time was 4.3-17.8 months. Two patients died of recurrence/metastasis at 14.2 and 17.8 months after surgery. Conclusions:The left renal vein has the appropriate diameter and rich collateral branches. It has a sufficient length and it is conveniently located in the surgical field. This study showed that there was a minimal effect on renal function after its excision, and it can be used as a graft vessel for reconstruction in pancreaticoduodenectomy after PV-SMV resection.

Objective To observe the effectiveness of early enteral nutrition (EEN) in managing ICU mechanically ventilated patients. Methods Totally 47 patients who had been ventilated for more than one week were randomly divided into EEN group and control group. The EEN group was supplied with enteral nutrition (EN) 12-24 hours after ICU admission, whereas the control group received EN 72 hours-5 days later. The function of intestinal mucosal barrier was evaluated by the reabsorb concentration of disaccharides lactulose/mannitol (L/M).In addition, the body mass index (BMI),body temperature, urine L/M ratio, serum albumin,pre-albumin,and ventilation days were recorded or calculated. Results On the seventh day,the L/M ratio was (0.036 ±0.004) in the EEN group, which was significantly lower than that (0.108 ±0.020) in the control group (t =2.746,P <0.01) ; the average body temperature was significantly lower in the EEN group than in the control group [(38.25 ± 1.20) ℃ vs (38.92 ± 1.40) ℃ ; t =2.683,P < 0.05)] ; the incidences of adverse reactions such as constipation and diarrhea were significantly lower in the EEN group [16.7% (4/23) vs 27.3% (6/22),P<0.05].The weaning rate within 2 weeks also favoured the EEN group [90% (18/20) vs 80% (16/20),P < 0.05].Compared with the control group, the nutritional status of serum albumin and pre-albumin also showed a favourbale trends in the EEN group. Conclusions EEN can improve intestinal mucosal barrier and increase the weaning possibility in patients with mechanical ventilation.
