Objective To analyze the chromosome karyotypes, prenatal diagnosis indications and pregnancy outcomes of high-risk pregnant women in Guangzhou. Methods 2 475 cases pregnant women with screening high risk were operated amniocen-tesis or cordocentesis from January 2010 to September 2012,then amniotic fluids and cord bloods were cultured and the cell were collected for chromosome preparation,G banding, karyotype analysis. We completed follow-up works lastly. Results 38 cases were detected chromosomal abnormality(including 12 cases Down′s syndrome,9 cases sex chromosome abnormality,7 cases transloca-tion,5 cases Edwards′syndrome,2 cases inversion,2 cases deletion,1 cases triploid),the abnormal rate was 1.54%.132 cases were detected chromosomal polymorphism(60 cases 1,9,16qh+ ,30 cases inv(9),25 cases D/Gs+ ,17 cases Y polymorphism).Research on prenatal diagnosis indications, there were 449 cases advanced age,668 cases Down′s screening with high risk,158 cases with ab-normal B ultrasound screening,38 cases with adverse pregnancy history. Conclusion The highest percentage abnormal karyotype is Down′s syndrome.Down′s screening high risk is the main reason for prenatal diagnosis. It is very important to do prenatal diagnos-tic and system B ultrasound for the high-risk pregnant women.

The basic mechanical properties of a Radial Shock Wave Therapy Equipment (RSWTE) were experimentally studied in this paper. The output energy of the RSWTE working on the operation frequency of 10 Hz was measured by dynamic pressure transducer under the conditions of different operation pressure. The results showed that both operation pressure and operation frequency have effects on the output energy of the equipment. The output energy increases with the increase of operation pressure, and the magnitude of increased energy decreases with higher operation of frequency. With the increase of operation frequency, the output energy rises up in condition of lower operation pressure and drops off in condition of higher operation pressure. The accurate medical treatment should be selected with the optimized energy and condition according to the treatment requirement to different illness in clinical medical applications.

Journal of Central South University(Medical Sciences) 2012;37(11):1141-1146
OBJECTIVE:
To investigate the functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) data of deception in antisocial personality disorders (ASPD).
METHODS:
A total of 32 criminals meeting the criteria for ASPD underwent fMRI at 1.5T while responding truthfully questions or lying. We compared the brain activities between truth-telling and lie-telling, and then computed the correlation coefficient between the contrast brain activities and the inclination to deception.
RESULTS:
The left anterior cingulate gyrus, the bilateral dorsolateral prefrontal cortex, and left inferior parietal lobule were associated with the executive aspects of deception among people with ASPD. But with the greater inclination to deception, the blood oxygen level dependent (BOLD) activities in those regions decreased.
CONCLUSION
Evaluations of truthful and untruthful communications pertaining to ASPD subjects may be differentiated in terms of brain BOLD activities, though those activities may decrease in habitual liars, which remains a challenge to the diagnostic accuracy in lie detection.

Journal of Central South University(Medical Sciences) 2014;39(9):975-980
As a widely recognized public health problem as well as prevalent and challenging to modern society, chronic insomnia is involved in wide brain areas (such as prefrontal cortex, anterior cingulate cortex, amygdala, hippocampus, and thalamus) and emotion-cognition neuro-circuit. It is closely related to the conditioned hyperarousal and the increased information process and/or the impaired inhibitory ability to withdraw from awaking state. Thus, some specific abnormal mode may exist in the emotion-cognition circuit, which is associated with abnormal cognition load, such as repeated retrieval/intrusion of aversive memories during night. Studies through the combination of multiple techniques including psychology, electrophysiology and neuroimaging methods are needed to further enhance the understanding of chronic insomnia.

According the practice of ethical review work in Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medi-cine, this article summarized the following experiences: It should keep pace with the times and constantly adjust the type of Ethics Committee to adapt to the development of medical research; accept international and domestic certification to promote construction by certification; enhance the researchers' consciousness of ethical review and the subjects' protection awareness;conduct effective sites visits to professional group or research group;communi-cate and collaborate among multi -disciplinary to promote the development of ethical review work and so on. Through the above practices, the quantity and quality of Ethics Committee' s ethical review in the hospital had been improved greatly, and it is hoped that these practical experiences could provide reference for ethics committee in other institutions.

OBJECTIVETo set up thalassemia population intervention model in order to decrease the birth of thalassemia major, relying on population and family planning service system.
METHODSPregnant women and their husbands were educated about thalassemia, and participated in screening and prenatal diagnosis if the couple were carriers of thalassemia in the areas of Huangpu, Panyu, Zengcheng and Tianhe districts of Guangzhou.
RESULTSThe network of thalassemia intervention mainly dependent on family planning service system was set up in these regions. A total of 10 695 families participated in thalassemia screening and 16 thalassemia major fetuses were diagnosed in the last two years. No one was thalassemia major in the 8360 newborn.
CONCLUSIONThalassemia population intervention model was set up relying on family planning service system and it significantly decreased the birth of thalassemia major.

Journal of Central South University(Medical Sciences) 2015;40(2):123-128
OBJECTIVE:
To investigate the structural abnormalities of brain in patients with antisocial personality disorder (ASPD) but without alcoholism and drug abuse.
METHODS:
Volunteers from Hunan Reformatory (n=36) and the matched healthy subjects (n=26) were examined by high-spatial resolution magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and diffusion tensor imaging (DTI). Voxel-based morphometry and fractional anisotropy (FA) maps were generated for each subject to reveal structural abnormalities in patients with ASPD.
RESULTS:
Compared with the healthy controls, ASPD patients showed significantly higher gray matter volumes in the inferior parietal lobule (P≤0.001, uncorrected), white matter volumes in the precuneus (P≤0.001, uncorrected), FA in the left lingual gyrus, bilateral precuneus, right superior frontal gyrus and right middle temporal gyrus (P≤0.01, uncorrected).
CONCLUSION
Our results revealed the abnormal neuroanatomical features in ASPD patients, which might be related to the external behavioral traits in ASPD patients.
