Objective To explore the effects of long term preventive treatment and patient education on asthmatic patients after acute attack Methods Prevention, treatment, and education were underwent for two to five years in 78 asthmatic patients after acute attack Frequency of exacerbation, lung function and laboratory parameters were monitored while treatment regimen was adjusted according to above results Results Regular prevention and management resulted in improvement of lung function and symptom as well as quality of life in all the patients Mmeanwhile less frequences of acute attack, emergency department visit, and hospital stay were observed, leading to reduction of medical expenditure Conclusion Long term prevention, treatment and education for asthmatic patients after acute attack are effective for better asthma control

Objective:In order to known the relationship between TAP1 gene , Fc?RI?gene and the development of asthma Methods:The microsatellite——TAP1 inside the intron of TAP1 gene and the RFLP locus inside the intron of Fc?RI?gene were choiced to study in asthma patients using the Amp FLP and RFLP method Results:The allele of Fc?RI?gene is associated with asthma and BHR, there is not relationship between TAP1 and asthma Conclusion:Fc?RI?gene may be important candidate gene susceptibility to asthma TAP1 gene may not participate in the development of asthma

Objective To investigate the quality control and quality assurance of the SPECT/CT system. Methods The energy peak, energy resolution capacity and the intrinsic uniformity of the device's detector were regularly examined, and the quality control was performed. Results The daily hardware maintain could reduce the rate of system's trouble. The device's energy peak, energy resolution capacity were consistent during half year's observation period. The two detector's intrinsic uniformity were better after calibration than before. [ detector Ⅰ: ( 2.71 ± 0.28 ) vs (2.37±0.11)(t=2.489,P<0. 05);detector Ⅱ:(2.68 ±0.12)vs(2.38 ±0. 19)(t =6.421,P <0.01) ] .Conclusion Regular quality control and maintain could keep the function stabilization, enhance the availability rate of the SPECT/CT system.

Objective studyring the proven and probable invasive pulmonary aspergillosis(IPA) eases of some hospitals in Shanghai to provide evidence fur the improvement of IPA clinical diagnosis and therapy.Methotis Fortv-nine IPA cases were retrospectively analyzed for demography data, host tactors, underlying conditions.chest CT,microorganism and histopathology examination,as well as therapy and clinical outcome.ResultsOf 49 subjects including 19(38.8%)proven and 30(61.2%)probable IPA,3 pailents(6.1%)had no host factors,25 patients(51.0%)had IPA associated host factors and underlying conditions.while 21 patients(42.9%)had uncertained fundamental diseases.Chest CT evaluation demonstrated that radiological lesions include nodules in 29 patients, patching in 15,mass in 12,consolidation in 10.cavitation in 34,Halo sign in 19,air bronchogram in 18,crescentic sign in 6,bilateral in 33 and multifocal lesions in 38.The yielding rate of fungus culture in sputum was 26.5%(13/49),and in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid was 66.7%(10/15).Eleven of thirty-six patients(30.6%)had positive results of serum galactomannan antigen tests.Nineteen of twenty-one patients(90.5%)were proven as IPA by lung histologic examinations.Aspergillus fumigatus was the most common pathogen 81.0%(17/21).The responding rate to initial anti-fugus therapy wag 50%(21/42).Conclusion Our study suggests that in IPA patients, bilateral, muhifocal and nodular lesion could be the most common radiological characteristic, while Halo and crescentic sign occar occasionally.Invasive technologies are more valuable to IPA diagnosis.

OBJECTIVETo investigate CTLA4-Ig's potential role in therapy for allergic asthma by blocking B7/CD28 interactions with cytotoxic T lymphocyte antigen 4-Ig (CTLA4-Ig).
METHODSWe divided BALB/C mice into the three groups: Sham/Sham (control), ovalbumin (OVA)/OVA and mCTLA4-Ig. Blood, bronchoalveolar lavage, histology and determination of cytokines were performed 24 hours after airway challenge.
RESULTSIn the OVA/OVA group, the number of cells, the percentage of inflamed cells and the level of IL-4 in BALF were increased. Airways in our murine model for allergic asthma underwent pathological changes, which were significantly reduced after treatment with mCTLA4-Ig.
CONCLUSIONBlockage of co-stimulation with mCTLA4-Ig can inhibit allergy-specific response of T cells, and asthmatic response as well.
