To explore indications regularity of analogous decoctions of Erchen Decoction.323 analogous decoctions of Erchen Decoction were found in Concise Thesaurus of TCM Formula.Diseases and symptoms of TCM were analyzed.22 diseases and 118 symptoms of TCM were found.The main indication of analogous decoctions of Erchen Decoction included spleen-stomach and lung system,other symptoms were broadly involved.Erchen Decoction was the most appropriate for phlegm.

BACKGROUND: Essential tremor is a kind of dyskinesia disease with a tendency to heredity. β-adnephrin receptor blocker is mainly used for treatment, but the dosage was great, patients could not persist in treatment. Hydrochloric-acid arotinolol, which characterizes by little side effect, is a β-receptor blocking agent combined with blocking effect of α receptor, and is an ideal drug to treat essential tremor in Japan.OBJECTIVE: To observe the reliability and curative effect of hydrochloric-acid arotinolol on essential tremor among Chinese people.DESIGN: Case analysis.SETTING: Neurological Departments of Beijing Hospital of Ministry of Public Health and General Hospital of Beijing Military Area Command of Chinese PLA.PARTICIPANTS: Totally 30 patients with essential tremor, 19 males and 11 females, aged from 21 to 74 years, with course of 1-40 years, average of (15.8±12.6) years, were selected from Neurological Departments of Beijing Hospital of Ministry of Public Health and General Hospital of Beijing Military Area Command of Chinese PLA from April 1999 to December 2000.METHODS: Tremor degree of upper limb, caput and lower limb, degree of dysfunction of hand, tremor degree of hand during writing and circling, and chief complaint of pain caused by tremor were scored before medication and 2, 4 and 6 weeks after medication. Scores were determined as 1 point, 2 points and 3 points according to mild, moderate and severe degree respectively. Evaluated criteria: ① Obviously effective: Differences were more than 7 points before and after treatment. ② Effective: Differences were 6.5-3 points before and after treatment. ③ A little effective: Differences were 3-1.5 points before and after treatment. ④ No changes: Differences were from 1 to -1 points before and after treatment. ⑤ Worse: Differences were less than -1.5 points before and after treatment. Meanwhile, blood pressure and heart rate of patients and side effect of drug were observed.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: ① Results of effective evaluation; ②Blood pressure and heart rate before and after treatment; ③ Adverse events and side effect.RESULTS: Totally 30 patients entered the final analysis. ① Among 30 patients with essential tremor, 6 had obvious effect, 11 had effect, 5 had a little effect, 7 had no effect, and 1 was worse. ② Average of blood pressure before treatment was (138.5±14.6)/(84.2±6.4) mm Hg (1 mm Hg=0.133 kPa), and was (130±10)/(79.7±6.3) mm Hg after 1 course. Average heart rate was (77.5±6.4) times/minute before treatment and (75±6.4) times/minute after treatment. The difference was not significant. ③ Among 30 patients, 4 had side effect at various degrees which was accounted for 13.4%; 1 had distress after medication, 1 had agrypnia, 2 had fullness in head and dizziness, and 1 gave up the treatment because of deteriorated tremor.CONCLUSION: Hydrochloric-acid arotinolol can improve tremor symptom of patients obviously and is an effective drug to treat essential tremor with convenient and safe medication.

OBJECTIVE:To optimize the extraction technology of chlorogenic acid in Prunus armeniaca flos,and compare the contents in P. armeniaca flos from different origins and varieties. METHODS:HPLC was conducted to determine the content of chlorogenic acid in P. armeniaca flos;using the volume fraction of ethanol,the ratio of material to liquid,ultrasonic extraction times and time as factor,the content of chlorogenic acid as index,single factor and orthogonal test were designed to optimize the extraction technology,and verification tests were carried out. The optimized extraction technology was used to extract and compare the contents of chlorogenic acid in Armeniaca sibirica from 7 origins of P. armeniaca flos and 3 origins of Armeniaca sibirica flos. RESULTS:The optimized extraction technology was extracting twice with 12-fold 75% ethanol,30 min each time. Under the con-ditions,the content of chlorogenic acid can reach 77.38 mg/g(RSD=0.58%,n=3);the contents of chlorogenic acid in A. sibiri-ca flos and P. armeniaca flos were 77.38-83.33 mg/g and 63.12-70.22 mg/g,respectively. CONCLUSIONS:The established extrac-tion technology is reasonable,stable and feasible. The contents of chlorogenic acid in A. sibirica are higher than that in P. armenia-ca flos;the contents have no obvious differences in the same variety of A. sibirica from different origins.

Objective To evaluate the method for vaginal treconstruction with muscle sparing verti-cle rectus abdominis myocutaneous flap(MS-VRAM flap). Methods From September 2006 to April 2008, MS-VRAM flaps were used for vaginal reconstruction in 9 patients (20 to 35 years old), ancl all ca-ses were congenital absence of vagina. Before operation, the inferior epigastrie arteries were detected by the Doppler and the flaps based on the perforators ranged from 6 cm×20 cm. MS-VRAM flaps were ele-vated and then transferred to reconstruct the vagina. Results All 9 cases of MS-VRAM flaps survived completely. No complications occurred at donor site of abdominal wall. With 2-12 months' follow-up, the patients were satisfied with the results. Conclusion Despite technical difficulties in elevating the MS-VRAM flap, the flap is a good choice for vaginal reconstruction.

Aim To investigate the effects of polyI:C on angiogenesis in mouse prostate carcinoma and its mechanisms.Methods Prostate carcinoma bearing mice were randomly divided into two groups according to tumor volume:contrl group and polyI:C group.After seven times′treatment,the mice were sacrificed.The content of NO in tumor was measured by nitric oxide assay kit.Tumor tissues were partly performed hematoxylin-eosin staining to observe morphological changes and distribution of vasa.Immunohisto chemical staining was used to observe the expression of VEGF,eNOS and AQP1.Results The content of NO in polyI:C group and the control was(1.22?0.77)?mol and(8.73?5.34)?mol respectively,and there was significant difference between two groups(P

Objective To evaluate therapeutic effects of endovascular therapy for in-stent restenosis of superficial femoral artery,and the risk factors of restenosis of re-intervention therapy.Methods We retrospectively summarized the clinical data of 35 patients(38limbs)who suffered from in-stent restenosis of superficial femoral artery(SFA)stent from 2010 to 2012.Results 35 patients (38 limbs)were enrolled in this study,there were 24 males and 11 females.Mean age was (68 ±8)years.The success rate of endovascular therapy was 89.5％ (34/38),including in-stent angioplasty in 14 limbs,in-stent and beyond-stent angioplasty in 5 limbs,in-stent angioplasty and beyond-stent re-stenting in 15 cases.The primary patency and sencondary patency rate for 6,12 and 24 months was 65.2％,46.5％,46.5％,and 87.5％,80.2％,55.8％ respectively.The independent risk factors for re-obliteration were age ＞ 70 years (P ＜ 0.05) and diabetes mellitus (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions Endovascular therapy is effective and safe in treatment in-stent restenosis of superficial femoral artery.The long-term in-stent patency is not satisfactory,with age ＞ 70 years and diabetes mellitus as independent risk factors.

Objective To study the clinical experience of extracorporeal circulation management in modified total arch replacement combined with stented elephant trunk.Methods Fifty-eight patients with Stanford A aortic dissection underwent modified total arch replacement combined with stented elephant trunk.With the modified surgical technique,the technology of extracorporeal circulation was also modified with bilateral antegrade cerebral perfusion,the management of the temperature and blood protection.Results All patients were operated successfully.The operative time was 248-485 (396 ± 67) min,extracorporeal circulation time was 175-260 (181 ± 33) min,cross clamp time was 64-104 (85 ± 12) min,stop circulation time was 22-48 (32 ± 5) min,and selective cerebral perfusion time was 26-54 (39 ± 7) min.The ventilator assisted breathing time was 5.0-35.5 (23.0 ± 4.5) h,and ICU monitoring time was 24-140 (88 ± 12) h.Postoperative complications included transient neurologic deficit in 3 cases (5.2％,3/58),renal dysfunction in 5 case (8.6％,5/58),and pulmonary infection in 4 cases (6.9％,4/58).Conclusion To modified total arch replacement combined with stented elephant trunk,the modified management of extracorporeal circulation with bilateral antegrade cerebral perfusion,the management of temperature and blood protection,has a low prevalence of morbidity and mortality.

Objective To explore the clinical effect of the modified rhytidectomy technique with hidden temporal and buccal incision.Methods 26 cases of aging face were collected.The operation was performed with modified preauricular incision which was the leading edge of the cartilage of helix and hair line.Preauricular remporal fascia was modified as suspended vertically and SMAS superficial to parotic gland was suspended vertically to nasolabial sulcus.Results All the patients reported fine rejuvenescent effects,the satisfaction rate was 100％ without any severe complications,such as scar,hair loss on temperal incision.Conclusions This surgical technique may maintain natural configuration of preauricular area,result in invisable incision scar with no obvious baldness,and avoid important nerves or vessel injury.

Purpose:To investigate the curative effect of T3 lesions of supraglottic carcinoma in our hospital and discuss the management of T3 lesions.Methods:33 cases of T3 supraglottic carcinoma hospitalized in Cancer Center of Sun Yat sen University of Medical Sciences from 1982 to 1991 were reviewed. All primary lesions were resected by surgery, including 27 total laryngectomy and 6 horizontal supraglottic laryngectomy. The treatment modality of the neck was as follows: Among 13 clinically positive neck 2 underwent radical neck dissection, 11 underwent selective neck dissection. Among 20 clinically N0 cases 1 underwent elective neck dissection and the rest watchful waiting. In this group 19 cases were treated by definitive surgery, the rest 14 cases managed by surgery plus radiotherapy.Results:The 5 year survival rate in our group was 63.6%(21/33), the 5 year tumor free survival rate was 57.6%(19/33) and the 5 year cumulative survival rate by Kaplan Meier was 63.9%. The 5 year survival rate in partial laryngectomy and total laryngectomy was 80% and 59.9% respectively, no significant difference was shown by Kaplan Meier analysis(Log Rank=0.82, P =0.3646). The 5 year survival rate in definitive surgery and surgery plus radiotherapy was 56.4% and 67.3% respectively. There was also no significant difference by Kaplan Meier analysis (Log Rank=0.61, P =0.4341). 5 cases presented primary relapse and 12 cases neck relapse in our group. The primary and neck control rate was 84.8%(28/33)and 63.6%(21/33)respectively.Conclusions:For T3 subtypes with pre epiglottic space or tongue base infiltration, horizontal supraglottic laryngectomy could abtain better result. One should be careful when applying partial laryngectomy in T3 with cord fixation. Although surgery plus radiotherapy could not significantly influence survival, it could have a tendency to get higher 5 year survival rate than definitive surgery. Radiotherapy and chmotherapy need to be study further.

Objective To investigate whether lipopolysaccharide (LPS) can induce vascular endothelial cell growth factor (VEGF) expression in microglia regulated by hypoxia inducible factor-1α(HIF-1α). Methods The cultured BV2 cells were divided into four groups:control group, LPS (100 μg/L) simulated group, LPS (100 μg/L)+LPS antagonist (LRS, 200 μg/L) intervened group and LPS (100 μg/L)+HIF-1αinhibitors FM19G11 (10 mmol/L) intervened group. Immunofluorescence staining, Western blotting and ELISA were used to detect the expressions of VEGF and HIF-1α. Results Compared with the control group, the VEGF expression level was obvious high in LPS simulated group (P<0.05). LRS inhibited this effect of LPS (P<0.05). The HIF-1αlevel was increased in LPS simulated group at 8 h post-injury (P<0.05). FM19G11, the inhibitor of HIF-1αreduced the expression of VEGF induced by LPS (P<0.05). Conclusion LPS can up-regulate the expression of VEGF by HIF-1α.
