1.MORPHOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF NORMAL CARDIAC MYOCYTE GROWTH

The cell volume, length, cross-section area, surface area, width and thickness of isolated cardiac myocytes were measured by using of a new computer system of coulter channelyzer and avias eye imaging analysis system. The rats, 3 weeks to 24 weeks in age after birth, were performed thoracic operation the morphological growth characteristics of isolated cardiac myocytes were observed.1. Physiological growth of normal cardiac myocytes was due to increase in cell volume, i. e. the cell length and cross-section area were enlarged. In the mean time, the changes in cross-section shape of myocytes happened when the myocytes growing.2. The major axis of cross-section area of myocytes was enlarged but the minor cross-section diameter did not show any more changes. So that, the growth lead to the cardiac myocytes be flattened in shape. The flattened growing pattern was one of the characteristics of normal growing myocytes. It might be very significant for the clinicians to eliminate the factors which would stimulate myocytes to be enlarged in cell width, and to treat and to prevent the heart disease.
2.Expression of angiopoietin-like proteins for animal breeding: a review.

Angiopoietin-like proteins are a family of proteins that are closely related to lipid, glucose and energy metabolism, as well as angiogenesis. To date, eight Angptls have been discovered, namely Angptl1 to Angptl8 that play key roles in metabolic regulation and marker assisted selection. In this review, we summarized current progress on the structure, signaling pathways, upstream regulatory genes and metabolic network of Angptl1-8. Finally, in combination with our work, the status and problems of animal breeding as well as the future prospects for Angptls were discussed.

3.Chemical constituents of Fructus Aurantii and Fructus Aurantii Immaturus by HPLC-ESI-MS

Objective To analyze the chemical components of Fructus Aurantii (FA) and Fructus Aurantii Immaturus (FAI).Methods HPLC-ESI-MS with Surveg mass spectrometer was used in the study.Chromatographic column: Symmetry Shield TM RP_ 18 (150 mm?3.9 mm, 5 ?m) (Waters, Milford, MA, USA); mobile phase: (A) water (0.6% HAc, pH=2.5), (B) methanol. Gradient elutions: 20%- 40% B (0-48 min); 40% B (48-54 min); 40%-55% B (54-60 min); 55%-95% B (60-75 min); 95% B (75-85 min); 95%-20% B (85-90 min).Flow rate and wavelength were 0.7 mL/min and 283 nm at room temperature, respectively.Results Four kinds of flavonoids were identified as naringin, neohesperidin, naringenin, and hesperidin, synephrine was also identified in FA and FAI. Furthermore, the contents of them were determined individually.The results showed that the chemical constituents in FA and FAI were the same but the contents were different.Conclusion HPLC-ESI-MS method can be efficiently used to study FA and FAI.
4.The effect of doxazosin on the expression of myocardial type Ⅰ and type Ⅲ collagen fibers in α1-adrenergic receptors antibody mediated diabetic rats

Objective To observe the effects of doxazosin on the expression of type Ⅰ and type Ⅲ collagen fiber in autoantibodies against α1-adrenergic receptors (α1-AA) positive diabetic rats,and to investigate the protective mechanism of doxazosin on cardiomyopathy of diabetic rats.Methods After establishment of diabetes model with streptozocin,diabetic rats were randomly divided into diabetic group (group A,n =10),doxazosin treated group (group B,n =10),α1-AA mediated group (group C,n =8),α1-AA plus doxazosin treated group (group D,n =8).Group C and group D were injected α1-AA (100 μg/100 g) by caudal vein at 0,4,8,12,and 16 weeks.Doxazosin (0.36 mg · kg-1 · d-1) was administered by lavage for 16 weeks in group B and group D,and other groups were given the same volume of saline every day.Expressions of type Ⅰ and type Ⅲ collagen fibers in myocardium of left ventricle were detected by immunohistochemical staining.Pathological changes in the myocardium were observed by both light and electron microscopes.Changes in collagen fiber in myocardium were detected by Van Gieson staining.Results Among various groups,there was no significant difference in blood glucose levels (P > 0.05).After the intervention of doxazosin,body weight in group B and group D was greater than that of group A and group C (P<0.05 or P<0.01).Expression of type Ⅰ and type Ⅲ collagen fibers in myocardium in group D was lower than that in group C (P<0.05).Expression of type Ⅰ and type Ⅲ collagen fibers in group B was lower than that in group A (P<0.05) as well.Myocardial pathological changes in group C were most serious,showing reduced mitochondrial,vacuolar degeneration,and interstitial collagen hyperplasia.Cardiomyopathy in group D and group B was less marked as compared with that in group C and group A,respectively.Myocardial collagen fiber in group C was significantly increased and showed poor alignment.Compared with group C,myocardial collagen deposition in group D was obviously reduced.Conclusions Doxazosin may suppress type Ⅰ and type Ⅲ collagen expressions in myocardium of α1-AA mediated diabetic rats,resulting in alleviation of myocardial fibrosis and protection of myocardium in diabetic rats.
5.Nursing of children with refractory soft tissue infection in the limb using vacuum sealing drainage

Objective To investigate the nursing points of the vacuum sealing drainage technology in children with refractory soft tissue infection in the limb.Methods A total of 9 children with refractory soft tissue infection in the limb were treated with vacuum sealing drainage technology from December 2010 to October 2012.Results All children who underwent vacuum sealing drainage technology were successful,among which 7 cases underwent continuous vacuum sealing drainage for 7 days and 2 cases replaced VSD material after continuous vacuum sealing drainage for 10 days and all wound with skin graft healed,without any complication.Conclusions Vacuum sealing drainage can remove thoroughly necrotic tissue of the wound and promote wound healing,the key points of nursing are to keep drainage tube unobstructed,adjust appropriate negative pressure and give close observation.
6.Influence of probucol combined atorvastatin on blood viscosity,TCD indexes and carotid plaque stabili-ty in patients with large artery-derived cerebral infarction

Objective:To explore influence of probucol combined atorvastatin on blood viscosity ,transcranial Doppler (TCD) indexes and carotid plaque stability in patients with large artery‐derived cerebral infarction .Methods :A total of 100 patients with large artery‐derived cerebral infarction treated in our hospital from Apr 2014 to Apr 2016 were selected .According to random number table ,patients were randomly and equally divided into atorvastatin group (received atorvastatin based on routine treatment ) and combined treatment group (received probucol based on atorv‐astatin group) ,both groups were treated for six months .Related indexes before and after treatment were compared between two groups .Results :Compared with atorvastatin group after treatment ,there were significant reductions in levels of TC ,TG and LDL‐C ,and significant rise in HDL‐C level (P<0.01 all);significant reductions in whole blood high shear viscosity [(6.23 ± 0.38) mPa/s vs .(4.20 ± 0.42) mPa/s] ,whole blood low shear viscosity [(21.17 ± 5.83) mPa/s vs .(18.10 ± 4.44) mPa/s] ,plasma viscosity [ (2.10 ± 0.45) mPa/s vs .(1.72 ± 0.34) mPa/s] and fibrinogen (Fg) level [(4.35 ± 1.36) g/L vs .(3.30 ± 1.38) g/L] ,P<0.01 all;significant rise in systolic blood flow velocity (Vs) [left :(87.43 ± 14.56) cm/s vs .(95.45 ± 18.37) cm/s]and mean blood flow velocity (Vm) [left :(60.89 ± 16.03) cm/s vs .(75.38 ± 19.36) cm/s]of left and right MCA ,significant reduction in pulsatility index(PI) [(0.85 ± 0.22) vs .(0.75 ± 0.12)] , P<0.05 or <0.01;significant reductions in unstable plaque score [(4.93 ± 0.40) scores vs .(4.12 ± 0.35) scores]and recurrence rate of cerebral infarction (16.00% vs .2.00% ) in combined treatment group ,respectiely P=0.001 ,0.014. Conclusion:Probucol combined atorvastatin can significantly reduce blood viscosity ,significantly improve hemodynamics in patients with large artery‐derived cerebral infarction .Its an‐ti‐atherosclerosis effect is obvious ,therefore it can be used to prevent or reduce recurrence of cerebral infarction .
7.Comparation of Simplified and Traditional Chinese Version of Psycho-educational Profile Applied in Special Children

Objective To study the variability of Traditional Chinese version of the Psycho-educational Profile-3rd edition (PEP-3) and Simplified Chinese version of the Psycho-educational Profile (C-PEP) as evaluating the special children. Methods 194 special children were evaluated with C-PEP and PEP-3 from April, 2011 to December, 2014. The scores of cognitive verbal/preverbal, expressive language, recep-tive language, gross motor, fine motor, visual-motor imitation, and communication and physical ability were compared. Results There were significant diferences in all the dimensions between PEP-3 and C-PEP scales (Z>3.446, P<0.01) except cognitive verbal/preverbal (Z=0.912, P=0.362). Conclusion There was difference between PEP-3 and C-PEP for the evaluation of special children.
8.Occlusal contacts during protrusion and lateral movements after orthodontic treatment.

OBJECTIVETo observe the occlusal contacts during protrusion and lateral movements in adolescent patients after orthodontic treatment.
METHODSSixteen adolescent patients who achieved normal dentition after orthodontic treatment were selected as experimental group and 17 healthy adolescents and young adults with normal occlusion were selected as control group. The occlusal contacts during protrusion and lateral movements in the two groups were recorded with T-Scan II system and compared.
RESULTSThe prevalence of occlusal interferences in the posterior segment in the experimental group was high and most of them were on the second molars. The value of disclusion time during left lateral movements, right lateral movements and protrusion in the experimental group were (1.504 +/- 0.681), (1.532 +/- 0.913), (1.358 +/- 0.791) s. The value of disclusion time during left lateral movements, right lateral movements and protrusion in the control group were (0.470 +/- 0.059), (0.483 +/- 0.045), (0.482 +/- 0.047) s. The results in the experimental group were significantly longer than those of control group (P < 0.01).
CONCLUSIONAlthough the patients achieved normal dentition after orthodontic treatment, their disclusion time were longer than those in healthy adolescents and young adults with normal occlusion.

9.Clinical value of ultrasound-guided core needle biopsy for detecting axillary lymph node metastasis in breast cancer

Objective To analyze the clinical value of ultrasound and ultrasound-guided core needle biopsy ( UNB) in the evaluation of axillary lymph node metastasis for breast cancer.Methods A total of 454 cases of breast cancer treated between June 2008 and August 2014 at our hospital were retrospectively analyzed.UNB was performed on patients with abnormal ultrasonic diagnosis of axillary lymph nodes.Among them, 354 cases underwent neoadjuvant chemotherapy or endocrine therapy while 100 cases underwent surgery after UNB.The sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, positive predictive value, negative predictive value and false negative rate of ultrasound and UNB were evaluated.Results Among the 454 patients with abnormal axillary lymph nodes of ultrasound imaging, the metastasis rate with UNB was 70.9%,while the negative rate was 29.1%.Among the 100 cases who underwent surgery after UNB, the metastasis rate was 25% while the ultrasound imaging lymph node longitudinal and transversal ( L/T)≤1.5,the lymph node size>1 cm,and the metastasis rate was 92.3%(12/13).UNB showed that sensitivity was 64.1%, specificity 100%, accuracy 86%, positive predictive value 100%, negative predictive value 81.3%,and false negative rate was 18.7%.The results of UNB seemed consistent with those of postoperative pathological diagnosis, the Kappa value being 0.685.Based on 2 and 3 needles, the above mentioned 6 indices were 50% and 77.8%, 100% and 100%, 77.8% and 92.5%, 100% and 100%, 71.4% and 89.7%,and 28.6%and 10.3%, respectively.The Kappa value of UNB based on 3 needles was higher than on 2 needles (0.822 vs 0.526 ) .Conclusion Ultrasound is a valuable tool for detecting axillary lymph node metastasis in breast cancer.UNB can accurately determine the axillary lymph node metastasis status.UNB based on 3 needles shows a higher accuracy than on 2 needles.
10.Computer-assisted design of individualized femoral prosthesis according to 3D reconstruction of CT images

BACKGROUND: Due to individual characteristics of human body, it is difficult to well match between standard prosthesis and patient skeleton. Computer-assisted design and manufacture of individualized prosthesis can effectively prolong artificial joint lifespan and quality and reduce revision rate. However, related studies are few in China.OBJECTIVE: To explore computer-assisted design for individualized femoral head prosthesis according to three-dimensional (3D)reconstruction of CT images for improving prosthesis and affected skeleton matching.METHODS: The CT scanning image of one healthy male volunteer, with no hip joint disease, was used. His femur was scanned with GE Speed Light CT with 3.0 mm thick cross-section slices. CT 2D images were transmitted to a computer. The medical image format was translated from DICOM into bmp. Inner and external bone contours were drawn automatically or by hand and processed digitally, and then these data were downloaded into 3D Mimics8.1, and Rapidform2004 software. The 3D femoral canal model was rendered. Femur canal contours curve was downloaded into the Solidworks2004 software in the form of dxf. Femoral prosthesis was designed on the base of femoral canal contours curve.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: The CT image was transmitted in the form of vector by a set of self-made medical image processing software. The accurate 3D femoral internal/external outline model was obtained by CT 2D image and reverse technique. Suitable femoral prosthesis was designed by means of image reverse engineering and norientation CAD. Reverse engineering and CAD provide an effective way to develop individualized prosthesis, improve the matching of prosthesis and affected skeleton, prevent prosthesis loosening and improve long-term stability.
