Objective To learn the social demands and development status of social work for the hospitals and explore optimization strategies.Methods 9 general hospitals and specialist hospitals in Zhejiang were surveyed, to identify the existing systemic, structural and mechanical problems of the social work at its initial stage.Results 39.7％ of the medical staff and 10.6％ of patients and their families knew and heard of the hospital social work,and 84.1％ of the medical staff and 50.4％ patients and their families have different levels of requirements for hospital social work.Hospital social work is poorly positioned functionally, in terms of the responsibilities and service coverage;those workers engaged are poorly professional.Conclusion Social work of public hospitals should develop from a top-level design and overall planning, and clear systematic and structural roadblocks found in such key elements as policies and systems, functional positioning, duty scope, service scope, organizational structure, team building and social recognition.These efforts will provide support and guarantee for the professional development hospital social work.

Objective To construct a rat fixation device for local infra-red irradiation in rats, observe the binding effect of this fixation device, and assess its practical application.Methods Twelve SD rats were held by this home-made simple device.The holding time was recorded at room temperature (24℃ to 26℃), 38℃ to 39℃ and 42℃ to 43℃ by infrared irradiation, respectively, and the maximum observation point was 60 min.Results Most rats (10/12) were held for more than 30 minutes at room temperature, 38℃ to 39℃ and 42℃ to 43℃ infrared irradiation.While 8 rats reached 60 min.There was no statistically significant difference among the holding times at various temperatures (P > 0.05).Conclusion This self-made device is simple, easy to operate and can be used to hold rats for a long time, and is a convenient and reliable holding device in animal experiments.

Objective To explore the feasibility and clinical effects of rotary cutter in laparoscopic splenectomy in treatment of traumatic spleen rupture.Methods The study retrospectively identified 10 cases with traumatic spleen rupture treated with laparoscopic splenectomy from June 2014 to June 2016.Results Total laparoscopic splenectomy combined with rotary cutter was completed successfully in 9 cases and 1 case was converted to open laparotomy due to intraoperative uncontrollable hemorrhage. The former operative time was 95 ~ 170 min, the estimated intraoperative amount of blood loss was 300 ~ 800 ml and autologous blood transfusion of 400 ~ 1 200 ml was conducted. The postoperative hospital stay was 8 ~ 14 d. No serious complications were found in the cases followed-up for 3 ~ 24 months after operation.Conclusion Laparoscopic splenectomy combined with rotary cutter is not only feasible and safe but also has the merits of minimally invasive surgery. It can be applied in treating those with abdominal trauma and with benign lesions in spleen. So it deserved promotion and application in clinical work.

To study the effects of intraperitoneal chemotherapy (IPC) plus Shenmai Injection (SMI) in treating advanced colorectal cancer following radical resections.

AIM: To study the clinical efficacy of Jinchang Capsule for the treatment of type 2 diabetes of blood-stasis syndrome. METHODS: From JAN.2001 to OCT.2004, 48 cases were divided randomly into two groups.32 cases in the treatment group were treated with oral Jinchang Capsule combined with Western medicine therapy, and 22 cases in the control group were simply treated with Western medicine therapy, with a course of 8 weeks. The changes of clinical symptoms, and fasting blood glucose (FBG), 2 h post prandial glucose(2hFBG), HbAlc, total cholesterol (Tc), triglycerides (TG), high-density lipoprotein (HDL-c), low-density lipoprotein (LDL-c) levels, and hemorheological parameters were analysed. The safety of the medicine was evaluated also. RESULTS: After treatment, the clinical symptomatic integrals were decreased remarkably in the treatment group (P0.05). There was no significant side-effect in the treatment group. CONCLUSION: The results obtained suggest that Jinchang Capsule can improve the clinical symptomatic integrals and remarkably enhance total clinical efficacy. Combining with the basic Western medicinal treatment of diabetes, it can control the obstinate hyperglycemia, and improve fat metabolism as well as bemorheological parameters. It has indicated that Jinchang Capsule has multipurpose therapeutic actions for diabetes mellitus.

Epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor (EGFR-TKI) targeted treatment has been a standard therapy for advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), but it is not tolerated well by all patients. In China, some studies have reported that traditional Chinese medicinal herbs (TCMHs) may increase efficacy and reduce toxicity when combined with EGFR-TKI, but outside of China few studies of this kind have been attempted.

Objective To summarize the experience of multidisciplinary consultation for prenatal fetal deformity, and to explore the mode suitable for China. Methods The Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital of Fudan University and Children's Hospital of Fudan University established a joint multidisciplinary consultation center, including obstetrics, pediatrics, pediatric surgery, ultrasound and other departments. A total of 3 378 pregnant women visited the consultation center from July 31, 2003 to August 1, 2013. After consultation, treatment was divided into three classes:pregnancy termination, pregnancy continuation and perinatal treatment. Follow-up was made through correspondence and telephone communication. Retrospective analysis on reasons for consultation, fetal structural abnormalities of the classification system, chronological order of abnormalities, gestational weeks of diagnosis, maternal-related factors, treatment and prognosis was performed. Results (1) Reasons for consultation:Among 3 378 women undertaking prenatal multidisciplinary consultation, 3 243 (96.00%) were due to fetal factors, and 135 (4.00%) were due to maternal factors. (2) Classification of fetal structural abnormalities:Among the 3 243 cases undertaking consultation with fetal factors, fetal abnormality was found in 80.85%(2 622/3 243). The most common were neurological abnormalities(23.19%, 608/2 622), followed by urinary tract malformation (20.25%, 531/2 622) and cardiovascular malformation (15.48%, 406/2 622). These were followed by digestive system malformation, limb deformities and space-occupying lesions. There were 156 cases of multiple malformations. (3) Average gestational weeks for diagnosis of fetal deformity:The 2 622 cases of fetal deformity were diagnosed at a mean (26.7± 2.1) of gestational weeks (21.1–30.4 weeks). Urinary tract malformations were detected at (24.0±0.7) weeks, whereas digestive system malformations were detected at (28.3±2.6) weeks. (4) Induced labor:Induced labor cases accounted for 35.66% (935/2 622), among which, 92 cases were fetal intrauterine death and 843 cases were active choice. The several highest induced labor rates resulted from multiple malformations (75.64%, 118/156), abdominal wall defects (62.22%, 28/45), diaphragmatic hernia (61.54%, 24/39), cleft lip and palate (55.32%, 26/47) and cardiovascular malformations (49.51%, 201/406). For nervous system (27.80%, 169/608), urinary tract (25.80%, 137/531) and digestive system malformations (26.94%, 66/245), induced labor rates were <30%. For abdominal lesions (14.04%, 25/178) and sacrococcygeal teratoma (13.64%, 3/22), induced labor rates were<15%. (5) Continuation of pregnancy in 1 687 cases:Cesarean section was conducted in 1 046(61.94%). Neonatal death occurred in 117(6.94%).(6) Perinatal treatment:Twenty-one cases were treated during pregnancy, including thirteen cases with fetal ascites and hydrothorax treated by drainage, five cases with fetal anemia treated by intrauterine transfusion and three cases with fetal tachycardia treated by digoxin. Ten cases were treated by ex-utero intrapartum treatment. After birth, 297 newborns immediately underwent neonatal surgery. Among these, 259 cases underwent radical surgery, eleven palliative surgery, and sixteen elective surgery after follow-up. Conclusions Prenatal multidisciplinary consultation can make comprehensive multidisciplinary assessment of fetal prognosis and improve the diagnosis and treatment of structural malformations.

Objective: To prove the clinical therapeutic effect of acute and chronic bronchial asthma with Chuankezhi(CKZ) Injection. Methods: 40 cases of bronchial asthma, including inpatients and outpatients were selected, divided into the attack period group (20) and the relief period group (20). The former was intramuscularly injected CKZ injection 4mL, twice a day, 14 days being a course of treatment. The latter was intramuscularly injected CKZ injection 4mL, twice a day for 15～30 days and 2mL, every other day for 31～90 days; 90 days being a course of treatment. The symptoms and signs, such as asthma, cough, expectroation, pulmonary wheeze were observed. and pulmonary function, absolute eosinophilic granulocyte count and immunogobulin E were measured before and after treatment.
